Love it but...

I have owned my 2009 Avalanche since new. The only issues I incurred were minor. I followed suggested maintenance schedules and complied with all recalls. The real problems start around 100000 miles The oil pump pressure would drop so low at a stoplight that the check engine light came on. I had the pump and screen replaced. Now there is a tick intermittently coming from the engine. Then I started getting a cylinder misfire error code. Replaced sparkplug and ran fine for a few hundred miles. Now had similar codes on computer. Truck is running rough, misfires and major loss of power. The AFM valves need to be replaced. This is a known problem with the 5.3l engine. So now do you have a $3000 repair or dump $6000 on a new engine? The vehicle is only worth $10k. And then hey... What about that tranny?

Chevy avalanche

If it was a female I would marry it. I love my truck. It's all the things a truck should be. Easy to drive, pulls a trailer with ease, looks great (my truck is red) has a great interior, as comfortable as any vichicle if been in.

Comfortable

My wife can sleep in the back seat when we are traveling. It's like sleeping in a bed. The inside is roomy, for tall people. Heated and cooling seats are extremely nice. For a 2009 low maintenance and durability, would buy another Avalanche again!

2009 Avelanche

This is my second 2009 purchased last August. I purchased my first in 2009. One of the best trucks I've had. Completed a 6,897 mile trip three weeks ago with no problems and no dash board lights coming on. That trip included going through the southern end of a huricane with wind and heavy rain. I think I'll keep it.

My 2009 Avalanche

Awesome vehicle. If I had realized I would have bought one when they first came out. I cannot fathom the amount of stupidity involved in the decision to stop making this vehicle. Utter nonsense. If I can find another low mileage newer model, I'll buy it.
