Review

Car is pretty good, but the transmission shifting is not good. When slowing down at a yield intersection, but not coming to a complete stop, when I step on the accelerator pedal nothing happens initially. I have almost be hit because of this a couple time. I was told this is "normal." Apparently it is due to the electronic shifting having to go through each gear on the way down, unlike a car with a clutch. It may be normal for the car, as it was for my prior car, but it is dangerously normal. You have to fix this. The infotainment system and the multitude of electronic controls are hard to use. I don't know what most of the things are and there is no rhyme or reason to how the onscreen options are used. Sometimes turn the knob, other time push the knob to one side or the other. Cannot access contacts without touching the screen, which I won't do while driving. The manual is incredibly long and hard to use. It takes minutes to find the most basic things, like setting the clock. Most of the manual(s) text is devoted to features we don't have and pages of disclaimers about don't use the feature in various situations--like driving on the road. The acceleration in the car (AWD with small turbocharger) is fine from a stop, but inadequate when trying to pass vehicles on 2-lane roads. This is especially noticeable when driving uphill or when trying to pass multiple cars and trucks. I guess this may be due to the transmission design as well. Sixth doesn't cut it for passing and the car is slow downshifting. Very disappointing because one reason I bought the car was it had better acceleration than the car it replaced. But, my road test was not on a 2-lane winding country road which we frequently have to drive on.

Great Car

Great bang for the bucks. Ritzy interior that puts German cars to shame at almost half the price. Overall a well balanced automobile in terms of engine smoothnrss, cabin quietness, balanced ride and comfort.

Comfort and reliability, plus just a beautiful car.

Purchased my GV70 just a year ago and can not tell you how very happy I am with this vehicle. I have owned about every luxury vehicle over my years in selling real estate, and this car by far is one of the best.

Great car quirky software

The car design ride are both great. I rated it four stars because the software is really problematic. Black screens, reboots and inconsistent screen functionality while driving.

Beautiful car, difficult service!

The car is beautiful inside and out! It drives well and overall, I love it! There are a few things that I find odd. The head rest can not really be adjusted. It’s way too far behind my head, so I have to lay my head far back to have the head rest. It is not comfortable. The wiper fluid also runs out way too fast. The service center is difficult and I don’t trust the service center as well. That’s the main issue of why I would not buy Genesis again. Overall, it’s a beautiful car and I really enjoy driving it!

Amazing vehicle, absolutely loving it thus far.

This is my first Genesis and so far I am loving it. I have driven Lexus's and Audi's before and I am impressed with the quality, comfort, performance, and features of my GV70.
