Great Car

Excellent car. Looks very good. Rides well. Interior is very nice. Sound system is excellent. Not great on fuel mileage. Technology is sophisticated. Many quality materials in the car Would be interested in an electric version of a GV 80 if and whe it becomes available.

Great car

Surprised by how good the car really is. Battery was a problem but was successfully replaced. Genesis Connect is not reliable and requires frequent resetting. (Our G70 has been very reliable, and has never been reset.) we liked the GV80 so well, we purchased the G70 one month later.)

The perfect SUV

The Genesis GV80 is an awesome SUV. The styling, comfort, ride quality and engineering is amazing. With all of the vehicle amenities that comes standard, you can't look elsewhere. I have the 10 year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty shows Genesis definitely stands behind their product. Go Genesis and I promise, you will never look back or regret your purchase. Definitely the best both in quality and styling, plus pricing.

First Genesis

Vehicle is comfortable, fit and finish is very good, ample power from the 2.5 turbo. Sound system is amazing. Definitely should have come with a spare tire standard. Auto stop/start can be annoying. Safety features are a plus. Haven’t used the self parking mode yet. Warranty period is better than most, hopefully it’s honored if I ever need it.

2022 GV80

We like the GV80 very much and didn't even consider another vehicle when we traded in our low mileage Lexus 350RX. My only complaints are (1) there is no spare tire, and (2) this survey is far too long and this add on section is duplicative and unnecessary given answers I've already given.

love the car and the service is excellent. the car is beautiful and fun to drive. styling is extraordinary and people comment all the time. this is my 5th Genesis and they are good value, dependable and beautiful. I was a Mercedes customer for years and their quality is poor, so I chose Genesis

GV80 -- It's NICE!!

My GV80 is great experience. It's fun to drive with plenty of zip. I like the sunroof and the rear moon roof. Lots of light which always brightens my mood. The comfortable heated and vented leather seats all around keep those in it comfortable. The heated steering wheel was a special treat this winter. I've gotten lots of complements on the how sharp it looks...and it is a sharp looking ride. I've had no mechanical issues in the first 12,800 miles of daily use. When needed the Genesis Connected Services was very friendly and helpful. I'm not a frequent car shopper (my previous daily driver is a 1999 with 267,000 miles), so getting all of the features of Genesis GV80 has sure seemed like going from nice transportation to being a VIP and always arriving in luxury and style every day.

Would not purchase again because of dealership service experience

Worse experience with a dealership service center. Manager was very unprofessional, scratched my vehicle and refused to fix. Had my car for two weeks for a regular oil change and then received a ticket while driving it back to me by a very young person

Reed Genesis GV80

I initially discovered the GV80 as a rental. I was impressed, did more research, but after purchasing a C8, I opted for a Honda Passport. The Honda was great, but it didn’t feel like the luxury I had with my BMW X6. Switching to Genesis was the best option. I absolutely love my GV80 which gets as much, if not more attention than my C8.

Poor Quality; Poor Service

The idea of the GV80 is great and I was clearly sold on it but it is has been a headache since day 1. I’m one year in and the dealer has attempted different needed repairs for more than 3 months, unsuccessfully. There have been a couple major issues with one of them taking 7 trips so far to try to repair and several smaller issues I just don’t have the time to deal with yet. Overall my experience with Hyundai/Genesis has been utterly disappointing and I am actively making sure people in my circles avoid these brands as they look to purchase new vehicles.

Beauty Should Be More Than Skin Deep

Great looking vehicle with outstanding fit and finish but if you can't go anywhere in it who cares what it looks like. We have a top of the line GV80 that was inoperable for 3 months out of the first year... Hoping year 2 is a better experience and Genesis gives these issues the attention they need (vehicle). Concerning the dealers network this is not Lexus. Contradictory information, given an "Uber" or "Lyft" ride home, non-similar loaner (sedan v. SUV) 'when' given one. We want to see Genesis succeed in this market but it is not clear yet they are serious on product or customer service yet. Some very serious wrinkles we thought would have ironed out by now from when we first took a chance to support the company and the product in (2021 - ordered vehicle, 2022 - received vehicle).

Love My Genesis GV80

What a nice ride! It turns heads! So smooth & comfortable to drive and handles like a kitten. It is a slick, fun and feel good vehicle to drive! Wouldn't trade my Genesis for anything on the market today. You have to try it to really appreciate the comfort and handling of this vehicle.

Stylish, Reliable and Fun!

My husband wanted to purchase a Genesis and I was apprehensive but after I went for a test drive and learned about all the features plus the awesome valet service for a busy person, I was sold. My car has become a conversation piece with strangers, and customers that admire the car … ALL ask, “do you like the car?” I respond back and say, “ I love it and highly recommend it!”

Nicely equipped and designed vehicle

The Genesis GV80 contains plenty of safety features to fill your drive with confidence. Highlights in this regard include the available Blind-Spot View Monitor that allows for safe movement from lane to lane. The rearview camera with parking guidelines comes standard in the GV80. It helps by giving a clear picture of the area behind the SUV while you’re backing up. As a result, you can back in and out of parking spaces safely and more accurately. The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian/Cyclist Detention can be quite useful as well. This standard feature acts as an additional set of eyes that watch out for possible hazards in front of the SUV.

GV80 has promise, but needs work

Build quality and fit are great, but due to excessive body roll, lower than expected fuel mileage, occasional transmission overrevs, and general ride comfort issues, the GV80 is a bit underwhelming. If Genesis would fix these issues, the car would be awesome!

I already answered this in the survey but since you insist on 250 words I will say that what drew me to the Genesis to begin with was the styling and although I was offered, I never even drove the car before I bought it. Having said that, and after owning this car for over a year, I could not be more pleased with the car and would highly recommend this car to any one who desires this type of automobile.

Unhappy customer

Good morning I am very disappointed with your service staff follow up program because I requested , during my maintenance visit to have the defect on the leather seats to be fixed and they did nothing; they said someone would call me and I have not received any calls nor messages. I also called Johnny Maldonado to see what the process was and left a message, but again with no response from him. I would like to know what Genesis will do and when. Violeta RICCIO

My GV80

Vehicle has been a pleasure to drive. Very comfortable and looks great. It feels sturdy and I feel very safe driving it. Vehicle has many, many great features that make it a great vehicle to drive. I enjoy the heads up display very much. I feel safe because of the warnings sounds the vehicle makes while driving, st=uch as lane departure assist.
