Surprise, surprise, surprise
The dealer will not ever let you know this little tidbit, when in Idaho this past year, I was passing a group of cars, the speed limit there is 85, anyway, I got out to pass on a fairly long stretch of hwy when I spotted on coming traffic. I put the hammer down and the truck fell all over its self and would not go over 99 mph. Panic set in as the group of cars was very tightly grouped and to dive into that group was going to make some lucky drive very upset with me. To sum up, I almost died because GM programs there vehicles at 99 mph max speed, they will not tell you when purchased. This will be the last GM product I will ever purchase, I purchase a new vehicle every 3 years - GMs position is to the tire rating, thats why they say they do it. Even if you install better tires, they refuse to re-pgm the vehicle. I ended up purchasing a 600.00 programmer and set the max speed to match my speed-0 at 140 mph
