GMC 2008 Yukon SLT 4 wheel drive.
Bought it new, have owned it for 10 years. For the most part, vehicle is reliable, very comfortable, quiet, a pleasure to drive on long trips, and very versatile. Like any vehicle, do the maintenance on or ahead of time, and they will last. Overall, a very useful SUV.
Would buy another just like it.

2007 GMC YukonXL Denali
What should have been a solid vehicle from the factory started out with a blown head gasket due to dealer failure; but, GM made it good and replaced the engine. Then at 75k miles the transmission overheated and had to be rebuilt. Then at 170k miles the engine again had to be replaced with a remanufactured one and then at 175k miles the transmission gave out due to overheating. Turns out the transmission cooler is undersized for a 6.2L engine when pulling a trailer; despite they advertised it as a great recreational vehicle. But despite all this, I’ve had the engine replaced, the transmission rebuilt, the cooler replaced with a bigger version, and lots of other small things. Why, simply it’s an $80,000 vehicle that from a chassis perspective still has lots of life left... and for a $12,000 investment figure I can get another 7 years out of it. Would I buy another - you bet! But hopefully GM has improved upon all these challenges.

Pros
Comfort, lots of power, great ride (when airshocks are working) can pull a trailer well (when engine and tranny are working)

Cons
Transmission Shift Cable Linkage uses a non-replaceable bushing that requires the entire cable to be replaced. Instead of a $10 part for a 30 min fix it takes 3-4 hours from part acquisition to completion and you hope they get the dash put back right. Very Poor Design on this model. Engine camshaft has tendency to wear out around 150k miles requiring replacement that costs about as much as a newer rebuilt engine... and this affects a lot of other issues. Then the tranny cooler is undersized and should be defaulted with a larger version otherwise it heats up to fast. Finally, if your headlight bulbs need replacing; that requires taking the fender skirt off just to get to the headlight release... look it up on youtube and beware...

Great ride
This is the nicest vehicle I've ever owned. It handles well, is roomy and is a great looking vehicle. The backup camera is a feature I have really enjoyed. I especially like having side mirrors that can be retracted in & out with the touch of a button.

Pros
Solid construction

Cons
I'm "old school", so there are features I won't use, i.e. DVD player.
