Nice car but cheaply made with a faulty windshield.

It's a nice stylish vehicle but it is cheaply made. My windshield crack went in a week of me getting the vehicle. I have had 2 replacements for the windshield it's you and I need another one. Getting into the service department to get anything fixed or oil chang takes a month or longer. The location/maps is not accurate.

Seat belt issue

I really like my palisade but have a huge safety issue. The captains chairs in the middle row will come unbuckled at random times after they have been buckled. Most of the time my kids are riding in those seats and the issue is an extreme safety hazard.

I've had nothing but issues with this vehicle

I've had issues with this vehicle and it continues to have something wrong with it. If I could go back in time I would tell myself not to purchase this vehicle to save myself if rom the hassle of having a vehicle that is in the shop one third of the time.

PROS: A Solid SUV with Loads of Features First off, the Hyundai Palisade is a well-built, solid SUV that offers an abundance of features. It boasts a spacious interior with comfortable seating for up to eight passengers, making it a great choice for families. The infotainment system is user-friendly, and the long list of standard safety features gives you peace of mind while driving. Additionally, the Palisade offers a smooth, quiet ride with a powerful V6 engine under the hood. The fuel efficiency is decent for its class, and the available all-wheel-drive system provides added traction and confidence on various road conditions. Overall, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade is an impressive SUV that ticks many boxes for those looking for a comfortable and feature-rich family vehicle. CONS: A Serious Windshield Wiper Issue Unfortunately, there is a significant drawback that I must address: a serious windshield wiper issue that Hyundai discovered back in August 2021. The problem is that the windshield wipers can suddenly stop working, which is a major safety concern, especially when driving on the highway during inclement weather. Shockingly, this issue wasn't resolved until January 2023. During this period, many Palisade owners, myself included, experienced difficulties with the wipers, resulting in dangerous driving conditions. To make matters worse, when I took my Palisade to the Hyundai dealership's service department, they were unable to fix the problem, citing a lack of knowledge about the necessary repair. Conclusion In conclusion, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade is an attractive, feature-packed SUV that has a lot going for it. However, the serious windshield wiper issue and the delay in resolving it cannot be ignored. If you're considering a Palisade, be aware of this significant safety concern and ensure that the problem has been resolved before purchasing. Wouldn’t buy again

Great features but there’s more cons than pros. Fuel consumption is too great. 60-70 dollars a week for gas. Way too much. Windshield cracks easily. Front and rear bumpers crack and break. Looks nice but wouldn’t buy again.

Good utility, poor quality, and poor dealer service

I’ve owned the car for 2 years and have had many problems with the car and especially with the service that I’ve received. The car has had multiple recalls. One of the recalls was because of problems with the master cylinder. I was unable to use the car for over a month because it took over 3 weeks to get into the dealership and then when I did get in they confirmed that the master cylinder was bad and I had to wait for the part. Next, I’m in the process of moving and the week before the move my check engine light came on with code P0597 (problem with the thermostat). I reset the code and it came back. So I called my Hyundai dealer… again 3 weeks before they have an appointment. I called the other local Hyundai dealers a minimum of 2 weeks. Since I was leaving in under a week I called the customer service line on 5/2/2023 and spoke to with Adullah, at around 8:40 AM CT. He was not very helpful but lead me to believe that I could have the car repaired and that Hyundai would reimburse if they did an inspection. I asked if it was possible to have it escalated to get into the local dealer, he said no, I asked if the could give me a loaner that was capable of towing a trailer, he said no. On 5/4/2023 I had the car repaired myself (see attached receipt). Drove from Chicago to Tennessee. Then after I arrived in Tennessee I called my local dealer they had me call Hyundai support. Again Hyundai support was not helpful. This time they gave me a case number 21365553. After a discussion of the problem I was escalated to Viola. She basically said it was my problem. I am a loyal Hyundai owner with multiple Hyundai’s, but question if I will every buy another one. I was stuck in a difficult situation and it seems that no one at Hyundai or the dealerships would help me. I feel it is appropriate that you do something to make up for these problems. Ideally you would reimburse me for the $542 warranty repair, or at least, at a minimum, give me a credit for the expense that I encored.

Poor driving quality

When I received this car at the first time, it was nice...But 1 year later, the driving quality was getting worse..noise and vibration from rear under parts...Technicians couldn't find the reason...even though I had visited dealer repair center 2 times...

So many recalls and manufacturer equipment failures

Had been looking forward to upgrading to the Palisade from my Santa Fe and was initially pleased with the vehicle. Unfortunately, it did not last long as it has had at least 3 recalls, multiple trips in for repairs of manufacturing defects including a broken moon roof that would not close and a failed drain that caused water to pour inside the vehicle plus the complete failure of the entertainment/ blue tooth/ navigation system which required a replacement. Not acceptable for a vehicle of this price and advertised quality. Interior comfort is still a plus as there is nice space for both front and second row passengers.

great except for interior smell

This is a great all around car except for the terrible smell in the interior. It smells like a persons bad garlic breath. It will make you sick on a hot day! I am embarrassed to ride anyone in my car because the first thing they say is "What's that smell?"

Palisade

Had an excellent experience with the dealership during test driving and purchasing. Bought it brand new with only 30 miles currently has 1400. Interior of the car is excellent, comfortable and offers lots of great tech options that are all easy to navigate. But the road and wind noise are extremely disappointing and having issues with rattles coming from the dashboard. Heard lots of great things about Hyundai before our purchase so hoping these issues will get resolved.

Limited hyundai palisade

First time hyundai owner, don't make me regret my purchase. It is a good car BUT it does smell. Worst when it is hot and the car has been idle for a few hours. Please fix the bad smell so I can be a happy customer. Bad smell = bad experience.

Not satisfied

Good vehicle overall. But too many small issues. Paint appearance being top issue. Outer body/panels appear scratched. Vents not working as expected and seat was slightly damaged at time of delivery. Overall very dissatisfied with build quality of the vehicle.

Driving this vehicle is not fun.

Gear options are confusing. Engine turn off confusing. I sit in this vehicle and it was so comfortable I immediately made up my mind to purchase it. The seats are spacious and comfortable. I wrote a check for this vehicle without really looking into the actual driving operation. If comfort and steering ease is what you are looking for, buy this car If you want uncomplicated operation, give it a good looking over.

The Good and the Bad

Car looks good and drives good. Has decent acceleration and is fairly smooth especially on highways. In the technology age the entertainment system and how it interfaces with us and our devices is very important. Currently the wireless carplay disconnects too often to be useful and enjoyable often creating a frustrating ride on road trips. There isn't a wired connection on lower tiered vehicles. If you want value, style, space and don't care about being able to use your phones navigation or music applications consistently, this is the ride for you. It seems they could patch an improvement to the system that will hopefully fix the frequent disconnecting.

Poor stereo reception

Vehicle overall seems to be built very well heating seats were great the ride is good a lot of legroom brakes seem to be good overall seems to be a good buy. However the FM reception is the worst reception I have ever had and any vehicle of my entire life

I hate not to love it.

This vehicle is beautify and well equipped for the price. It has plenty of power and interior is large and comfortable. The problem is the excessive wind noise I am hearing from the driver side passenger doors window. It seams to be tied to pressure building up inside the car and air getting pushed out around the windows causing various sounds from a low pitch buffeting sound to a high pitch sound that appears to be due to air leaking around the door seals. This also causes the windows to sound like they are cracked under certain conditions.

5, bad choice, looking for something to replace 4Runner, thought the palisade would have been the car but disappointed. Not coming back for another vehicle. Will be going back to Toyota or Nissan. I was looking for a change I heard good things about the Palisade

Nice car- hope the quality of materials holds up

Purchased a brand new 2021 Hyundai palisade. We drove more than 5 hours to a dealership who had the vehicle we wanted at a fair price. We bought the car. Looked beautiful, was very comfortable and had great features. On the way home, a suitcase shifted in the trunk (when swerving to miss a cyclist that veered into my lane) and bumped the plastic panel with cup holders in the third row. The impact cracked the panel and left a large sharp splintery hole in the side of our brand new car. This has happened to me in many vehicles before but nothing ever broke. I called the dealer back when we got home and was brushed off. They told me to go speak to a local dealer but don’t get my hopes up. Was disappointed in the service and how I was treated. This should not have happened to a brand new car, especially one I just spent almost $50,000 on. Hoping Hyundai will reach out and try to help me. Also hope this doesn’t happen to other plastic components in the car over time. Crossing my fingers.
