Cruise control safety feature

I have had this car for three months and I am about to trade for something other that a Hyundai! I have had Hyundais for years and i bought the Palisade when it first came out in 2020. I have never been as disappointed and unsatisfied with a vehicle than i am with this 2026. I drive 3000 miles a month for work and use cruise control all the time. Now when i put this car in cruise the direct driver monitoring system tells me “ keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel” 20 plus times during a 3 hour drive. I can’t do this anymore. Granted, I had a Tuscan for three years and at 105k miles I thought i should “upgrade “ to something more comfortable to drive for long distances. The Palisade is a big upgrade for a sales rep who puts over 3k miles a month in a car. I have talked to other Palisade owners and they are having the same issue i am. Telling customers to “don’t wear sunglasses or transitioning glasses to drive “ is not an option and respectfully should not even be recommended.

Beautiful SUV, But Not Practical for Moms with Young Children

Although the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is a beautiful vehicle with great features, I am disappointed with how inconvenient it can be for a mother of two young children. Having to physically grip the door handle to unlock the vehicle when my hands are full is frustrating. I also dislike that the vehicle does not automatically lock when I walk away. As a busy mom, I should not have to take out my key or manually lock the doors while managing two children. Another major disappointment is that the second-row seats cannot be electronically adjusted or moved as expected when car seats are installed. For a vehicle marketed as a family SUV, I expected more convenience and functionality for parents. While I enjoy the luxury features, I believe Hyundai overlooked some important everyday needs of families with small children.

Fine car for the price and everything you get

Good suv. Had several Palisades in the past years but my 2026 seems to have a lot of minor issues and I don’t seem to get the same gas mileage as my previous Palisades. Overall suv is very nice but little issues and recalls bring its rating doen

Love the look inside and out. Drives smooth. Large enough for large families. Great safety and technology. My only negative is the acceleration. Needs more horsepower for sure

Great family vehicle

This vehicle is and overall great family vehicle with lot of space, I just wish that for the price it was a bit more fuel efficient. Id say you get what you pay for, but even then its still an overall great vehicle to drive with plenty of room for the family.

Mechanical operation fine. Operation electronic systems fair

The mechanical systems are very good. (Engine, seats, etc.) The electronic systems are well integrated an the semi auto drive system is dangerous in curves at interstate speeds.

Unacceptable features

Windshield is NOT tinted dark enough. Tilt wheel does NOT tilt down far enough. Not enough buttons and controls are way too complicated and all touch points symbols are too small and require too much time to find and activate causing eyes to be off the road way too much! This is my third Palisade and I love the car otherwise. Very much!

2026 Palisade Calligraphy

Overall the vehicle is great. I love the redesigned exterior. The interior has a luxury feel that of vehicles significantly more expensive. The amount of features for the price creates a lot of value. The only downside that I have found is the layout of the center console, it lacks space for items and the phone charging pad is too small for my phone.
