I want to share my honest experience with Shorts Auto. My journey began at North Side Ford for an ABS
light issue. They took over a week just to read the test codes, which I had already checked myself. After that, they came back with a repair estimate of $10,000 for a fix that wouldn’t even resolve my ABS problem. I spent the whole day calling around to 30 different places, trying to get quotes for the necessary repairs. Later that day, Shorts Auto contacted me with a much better price on a new transmission compared to the rebuild quotes I had received, and theirs even came with a warranty.
One of the major issues I had with North Side Ford was their poor communication. It was nearly impossible to reach anyone for updates. In contrast, Shorts Auto went above and beyond, keeping me fully informed throughout the process. They completed the repair quickly, even finishing ahead of schedule.
If you’re debating whether to choose North Side Ford or a smaller shop, let this review serve as a testament to how much better Shorts Auto is. I’m incredibly grateful for their excellent service in getting my car back on the road. Thank you, Shorts Auto!

I took my car to The Service Center today for an oil and filter change, and to have my tires rotated.
They also performed a safety and maintenance inspection, all for a very reasonable price, and in a timely manner. I waited for my car in the lobby, which was comfortable with available refreshments. As all of my dealings with this shop, the staff made it a pleasurable experience. Ms. Kim and Mr Adam were helpful, informative, and friendly. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again; if you’re searching for a repair shop, you cannot, in my opinion, beat the Service Center.

I was traveling to my hotel and unexpectedly I ended up getting a very large nail in my tire that end
ed up flattening my tire. What made this situation worse was that I was already running late to a speaking engagement. Enter Jose Sr & Jose Jr of Interstate Auto Repair. They not only fixed my tire unbelievable fast, they also completely took my stress away, due to the fact I was able to make my event on time. They may not know it, but I now consider them family!! My car had to be towed in. They were able to fit me in. The starter had to be replaced. I, also, had
issues with something getting clogged in the a/c system. They took it apart. They were not able to find the issue though when they put it back together it fixed the issue and they didn’t charge me for it since he didn’t know if he really fixed it. I appreciate the honesty. I would recommend them for sure.

Jim and Bert have been our mechanics since 2017. Our previous shop closed, and because we had already
heard positive things about their work—we became their clients. One thing that stood out immediately was their honesty. Before finding them, I tried several nearby shops and was repeatedly disappointed: high charges, unresolved issues, and unnecessary repairs.
With Jim and Bert, the experience has been consistently reliable. I recommend setting an appointment so your car can be prioritized on your scheduled day. They do accept walk‑ins, but arriving early is best because they usually have a long line of customers.
Today they replaced the lower ball joint on my car, and the final bill was lower than I expected. They even used a top‑quality brand part, and the workmanship was excellent.
I’m glad we found them. They’ve been the best mechanics we’ve ever had.
