Air Conditioner
We have had our traverse in there 3x in last 2 months to fix the ac and it keeps going out on us a week after repairs are done. It went out on us again this week.

We understand your frustration with having issues with your A/C, Florida is no place to be without it. As we investigated your history we noticed that no actual repairs have been done to the A/C system. It had been recharged and a dye installed April 3rd of this year with a note to return in 3-4 weeks for your free recheck. In mid June you returned for a check engine and overheat problem that was repaired that day and all systems were properly working after the engine temperature sensor was replaced. The 4th of August the vehicle came in with A/C not cooling again but the dye was no longer present and the system was recharged once again with dye and freon at product cost only, with a note to return within the week. On August 30th the A/C was confirmed as still cooling and was rechecked at no cost, and no dye was detected. While it is frustrating to deal with vehicle malfunctions like this, it can get very expensive trying to guess at what parts may fix a problem without a clearer indicator as to what needs repair. Your car has one of it's many A/C components that is allowing the freon gas to leak from the vehicle that we must find before we can actually fix it. Like any mystery, one must narrow the clues down before the solution is found. We sympathize with you that this has been a process that has taken longer than you expected but hope you understand that not installing the right parts to repair the system is not the proper course of action. They are like a family. Great people.
I would recommend this place to any of my friends and family. Unfortunately my problem they tried and tried and could not find a problem and it still exists.

Thank you for being a loyal customer.  I am sorry that we have been unable to identify the problem with your vehicle.  Steve, the service manager, will be in contact with you to see if we can schedule a convenient time when you could bring your vehicle by and let one of our technicians test drive with you to help us identify the issue.  I know that it must be frustrating bringing your vehicle in for a repair and us being unable to identify the problem.  Due to all of the electronic controls on vehicles today, intermittent problems can be the most difficult to dianose.  I feel confident that if you work with us on this issue we will be able to identify what is causing the issue with your Mountaineer.
