I had 2 front lower control arms for my Chevy HHR installed by Hazel Dell
Muffler & Brake.
They quoted me $100 for 1 hr labor and $25 extra for bringing my own parts,
for EACH side. In total incl. Tax & waste disposal fee I paid approx. $280.
The bummer… it only took them LESS THAN ONE HOUR COMBINED!!
What would you do with an extra $100, got it?
After complaining, I was told by Tim Woodruff, the office guy, “ that they charge
what their COMPUTER calculates! After all, they are in the business to make
money and they don`t do anything without getting paid for it”!
Thanks, but no thanks for the rip-off, guys.
P.S. They are NOT alone! Many other smaller Repair Shops in Vancouver, WA
use that `Computer Says...` tactic.
