A gem

With the exception of the two complaints I have, the car was a good choice. I sold our second car so this is our primary transportation. It’s good looking, functional, fun to drive, comfortable and draws attention wherever I go. Now I’ll just fill in the characters by saying this is the most comprehensive survey I’ve ever taken.

GV70

I really enjoy driving my GV70! My previous vehicles were a Cadillac and a Mercedes and this car provides more conveniences and more comfort. We also own 3 other Hyundai vehicles due to the reliability, design, tech and price. We bought 2 cars in one day and paid full price, for my Genesis and an Ioniq. We were not planning to buy a car but found these products to be must haves. I didn't know the matte paint would require so much care but am happy I bought this car

Dashboard noise is very annoying

Over all nice vehicle... disappointed at defective parts day after I took the vehicle home. Took in the car but no parts were available to fix. Very disappointed that the new vehicle has this type of malfunction. Still have no eye on theparts... it been almost a month.

GV70 white on black suv

I love the car! I just think it’s a little expensive for what it is. I would recommend it to other people but not sure if my friends would spend money on a car that isn’t very well known. I just went into the dealership and I liked this car , I was looking for the Santa FE and ended up with this!

Nice upgrade from My Last work vehicle

I really like the GV70, I like the color the style, and the features, I have yet to try it in the snow. Its fun to drive, gas mileage is ok, Since only takes premium that can get expensive. Interior is nice but its easy to confuse the circle transmission switch with the toggle for the the screen, Matt paint is a really problem can not use a car wash. When living in a northern climate. How do you expect us to keep it clean? Cant afford to hand wash every other week.

Turn up the bass

I love mostly everything about my Genesis except the volume buttons are way too small when this big huge dial in the middle could have been used for the volume. Some features have to constantly be set and reset upon entering the vehicle. I feel like im in a cockpit some times prior to flight

Traded a BMW in for my Gv70. Quickly found the electronics to be less intuitive. However, my salesperson has gone the extra miles to help me make the transition. Fuel mileage is not what I hoped for. Comfort is much better than expected. Design is eye catching.

Overall very pleased. Beautiful vehicle inside and out. Drives great, plenty of power. Do not understand why radio cannot receive traffic info from SiriusXM (according to them). Two driver set up difficult to understand. Traffic not available from SiriusXM (according to them). Location of front license plate ruins look of grill.

I'm hopping the dealership will be able to fix all the little issues I have with the car when I take it in for the first service....also the wait time at any Genesis dealer for a regular service it's about 2 months....unheard off until now...they also don't honor the genesis concierge when they supposed to come and pick up the car for service and leave a loaner car.

An excellent first compact SUV that is let down in terms of quality control and dealership experience

This vehicle is absolutely beautiful inside and out. You feel like you paid for something significantly more expensive than what you actually did pay for it. The quality of the materials used inside the cabin is exquisite and the infotainment ease of use is great. The audio could definitely use a bit more bass but clarity is miles ahead of what I was used to in my 2019 G70. The exterior however was a let down in terms of quality. The paint was uneven on the passenger door (you can literally see the line where it looks like it was spray painted) and the trim pieces around the door were all scratched up. How this left the factory, I will never know. The vehicle itself is great, but it's let down by the worst dealership experiences you can get. I initially drove it off the lot without test driving this specific vehicle because i had test driven another one twice and didn't need to do it again. Unfortunately, that was a mistake because there were tire vibrations that were absolutely nauseating to drive above 30 mph. They fixed that problem after a week because i simply refused to drive that vehicle like that. The dealership made me come back a second time because they did not know what was causing it and just let me go on my way. DO NOT EVER GO TO GENESIS/HYUNDAI OF WESLEY CHAPEL- AWFUL DEALERSHIP. They lost their Genesis accreditation for a reason. When i went back to get the window trim replaced, they said they ordered the parts and they never called me back to let me know if they got the parts in. That was in November, it is now January and I've called them back to no response or call backs. If Genesis is to survive in the luxury field, they will need to bring sole dealerships with a proper service and customer service department. Overall, I love the vehicle in-spite of its flaws but the dealership experience, being so bad, may not make me return for a third vehicle.

It should have been a 5 Staf

Beautiful vehicle and so comfortable. Drives smoothly and quiet and performs when you need it too. Overall looks are amazing and interior and exterior styling are class leading. So why not a five star rating well the engine note to match the synthesized noise it makes through the radio speakers. My fuel economy is only horrible as I am averaging only 15.5mpg over the life of the vehicle which is over 5500 miles now and only using premium fuel. And I am headed back to get more work done for the 3rd time because of power train vibration issues. If these three things were different it would get a 5 star ratting.

Great car

I love my new vehicle but there could be some improvement in interior design. I wish there was more room besides bottle holders, I had no space for my keys. Also I would choose cloth seats material I don't like the leather finish. I feel like driver seat is not that comfortable, and brake pedal is too far from the gas pedal.

What happened to my 24mpg average GAS?

Only driven German Suv's with13-14mpg for past 20 yrs. Saw a picture of GV70 and was excited. In 2019 I began wait for release with interest of the avg 24mpg. I get 17-18 mpg. SAD on gas. But ENJOY!!!

Nice new ride

Stylish car that continues to turn heads. Was looking at jag, bmw and Mercedes was skeptical about genesis not having owned previously. The ride quality and looks are amazing. German rides feel solid and well built. Wanted something different and I am no longer a skeptic and very happy thus far!

Substantial downshifting & braking issues, but overall a great car

The styling, technology & storage are great, but there are some substantial drawbacks that weren't called out in online reviews. I can't stop front seats from moving back, which presses against baby car seat in back row - I really want to disable the feature, as I don't even need all that space to get in.

Dealership overcharging for this vehicle. I feel this vehicle should have come with the cover and net for the trunk area instead dealership selling for $200.00 and something a piece so sad. Genesis need to offer some free items for the purchase of these vehicle.

The vehicle is definitely worth the price. Dealership and the concierge service isn’t what they make it seem from the ads and selling point. Car looks beautiful. Tires and rims aren’t anything to talk about. Car play is very glitchy Paint chips easy

Perfect except for the electronic controls

Overall, the GV70 exceeded my expectations. It has all the features (and then some) of a comparably equipped Mercedes GLC300 for about $15K less. It has been a dream to drive. I just wish the electronic controls were more intuitive and easier to use. Commands are buried three (or more!!) clicks deep. There is a H-U-G-E learning curve to the controls/interface. Even with all that being said, this is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. Practical, luxurious, and fun to drive...what's not to love???
