GV70 prestige

Overall I’m happy. I’m not ecstatic. I will keep this car for a few years and hope the next reiterations are better. I do enjoy driving my my new car as well as the worry free maintenance, valet service, and technology features included. Here’s to going for better.

The car jerks automatically and when coasting it brakes automatically. The tire pressure always shows even after inflated. The app and car are not in sync. I need a change for my ve hi le. Now I am disappointed with my car. And the service is not up

Great car, terrible dealers and support from Genesis with dealers.

Buying the car was a terrible experience. The cargo cover was in a box in the backseat which dented the back door panel. The salesman that I told I wanted a thorough overview of the car after I bought it passed me off to another guy they couldn't get rid of me fast enough. The service department is completely non-responsive as well as Genesis and trying to get help from the dealership. The transmission has a bit of slop in it, which makes me doubt long-term reliability. The car itself is absolutely beautiful comfortable and great to drive and the stereo is phenomenal. I traded it in with less than 1 year due to the dealership experience. I'll never buy another Genesis because of it.

Good car, sales process not there with the luxury cars...

Good looking car though still not there with the service/quality with the competition. Sales and service process tries but fails short of the likes of BMW and Audi - does not have feel of a luxury division. However, still a good car and really impressive design. Rides nice on highway.

GV70

I love the vehicle. The fact that it came from the factory with paint defects was very disappointing. It appears that the chrome finished parts are tinted and can easily be scratched or damaged. Should have stuck with chrome or off a black out package. Very disappointed in how the dealership has handled the situation. There was no need to have my car for 42 days and still counting to fix paint defects. I should have been offered another vehicle. I have been making monthly payments on a vehicle that I have barely had to myself.

Great Car but Poor Dealership service

It is a great car, but unfortunately, it can not be considered as a luxury car with a 3nd tier dealership service. It is a shame. I'm considering to sell the car in the near future due to the poor maintenance experience I received in NY dealerships.

GV70 Review, 1 year in

The Car's Transfer Case failed at 5,000 miles, it took Genesis 3 months to repair, Genesis replaced two transmissions before transfer case, transmission was not the problem. I did not have use of a loaner or rental car for two of the three months. Genesis Corporate was a disaster to work with, I was in constant contact with the Genesis Corporate folks regarding the repair. I felt that Genesis was not willing to make this situation right and I am very discouraged on my treatment as a customer.

You got overprice product for basic Hyundai

Overall the car is pretty. Easy to drive. Easy to handle. But I still need to work out kinks. The circular dial should be different than the drive control. Smart adapter control need to work and I need to be able to trust it. Overall it’s a good car. But not how much I paid for the lack of service it’s just killing me.

fuel pump and low pressure pump went out at 14,000 miles in the middle of an intersection luckily no on was killed, but I can assure you someone will be killed as a result of the fuel pump failure if it is not corrected. the hood shakes at highway speeds. Your service department is horrendous. If i could do it all again I definitly would not have purchased the GV70, I will not recommend anyone buying a Genesis.

Car is nice but not the check engine light that came on after 7 months

The car is beautiful and sleek however, the paint chips very easy and makes the car look a but cheaper. The check engine light came on after about 7 months and it has been 5 months and the dealership has not been able to fix it yet. They are so busy it takes about a month to get an appointment whcih makes the driver very nervous due to the check engine light.

don't waste your money

This is a very disappointing vehicle/suv. The ride is very rough and the noise is unacceptable. When you drive this suv you will feel every imperfection in the road even be bounced by the smallest ones. The outside noise: wind, tire, and, traffic are outrageous for a supposed luxury vehicle. Have not and will not recommend the Genesis GV70 to anyone. Very disappointed. Wish I could return it and get something nice for the money.

Terrible fuel economy outweighs all other redeeming qualities

The fact that the fuel economy on this car is so bad ultimately overshadows all the other amazing features of this car. I have never had a car that guzzles gas as much as this one. I am actively looking to replace this car because fuel costs are astronomical and this car is always thirsty. The cost of ownership is incredibly high. No engine should be this inefficient in this day and age. Very disappointed in my ownership experience.

Not good

I am not impressed with the vehicle. Poor gas mileage and stained paint is one of many issues. There’s also a horrible interior rattling that never stops! I don’t know how long I will be able to handle it before I start looking at my options if this is not addressed.

It's just ok, makes me miss my x3

Gas milage is bad and the infotainment is extremely annoying to use. It's just not as intuitive of a car, but damn it looks good and is comfortable. I also get the place hands on the wheel warning very often on straight roads with my hands on the wheel. Wired android auto is also a bit out of date on a car of this price.

Constantly in for repairs.

Connected services didn’t work for 11 of 12 first months. Check engine light is on for the 4th time. Brake pads failed at 15000 miles. Inconsistent service experience. I had great hopes for this vehicle and the reviews seemed to support it. Unfortunately it has been my worst performing new vehicle (out of 14).

Great promises but I got a problem vehicle

I had such great hopes for this vehicle and loved it for the first 1-2 months. Then the problems started. It’s been in the shop 7-8 times in the first year and is going back in two weeks (should be sooner but takes that long to get an appointment). Maybe it’s just my vehicle but I’m terribly disappointed.

Driveline problems

3300 miles transfer case replaced and now differential defective waiting on replacement. Loved the truck until all these failures. Looking for buyback and replacement to give Genesis another shot. First model year hoping 2023 are better.

Looks are Deceiving

Well they ole adage is “looks are deceiving“. It’s true. Looks are amazing but everything else falls short! Especially the dealer/manufacturer communication with a vehicle with less than 3,900 miles on it and has engine and differential issues and dealer just saying couldn’t duplicate and blow us off several times. Just found out the replaced the service manager and I called the new service manager left voicemail with no return calls and emailed with no return emails. Welcome to corporate American where customers come last!
