GV70

I love the vehicle. The fact that it came from the factory with paint defects was very disappointing. It appears that the chrome finished parts are tinted and can easily be scratched or damaged. Should have stuck with chrome or off a black out package. Very disappointed in how the dealership has handled the situation. There was no need to have my car for 42 days and still counting to fix paint defects. I should have been offered another vehicle. I have been making monthly payments on a vehicle that I have barely had to myself.

Great Car but Poor Dealership service

It is a great car, but unfortunately, it can not be considered as a luxury car with a 3nd tier dealership service. It is a shame. I'm considering to sell the car in the near future due to the poor maintenance experience I received in NY dealerships.

GV70 Review, 1 year in

The Car's Transfer Case failed at 5,000 miles, it took Genesis 3 months to repair, Genesis replaced two transmissions before transfer case, transmission was not the problem. I did not have use of a loaner or rental car for two of the three months. Genesis Corporate was a disaster to work with, I was in constant contact with the Genesis Corporate folks regarding the repair. I felt that Genesis was not willing to make this situation right and I am very discouraged on my treatment as a customer.

You got overprice product for basic Hyundai

Overall the car is pretty. Easy to drive. Easy to handle. But I still need to work out kinks. The circular dial should be different than the drive control. Smart adapter control need to work and I need to be able to trust it. Overall it’s a good car. But not how much I paid for the lack of service it’s just killing me.

fuel pump and low pressure pump went out at 14,000 miles in the middle of an intersection luckily no on was killed, but I can assure you someone will be killed as a result of the fuel pump failure if it is not corrected. the hood shakes at highway speeds. Your service department is horrendous. If i could do it all again I definitly would not have purchased the GV70, I will not recommend anyone buying a Genesis.

Car is nice but not the check engine light that came on after 7 months

The car is beautiful and sleek however, the paint chips very easy and makes the car look a but cheaper. The check engine light came on after about 7 months and it has been 5 months and the dealership has not been able to fix it yet. They are so busy it takes about a month to get an appointment whcih makes the driver very nervous due to the check engine light.

Great experience with an unexpected disappointment

I got my GV70 top trim in Toronto, Ontario. I did thorough research before buying it and It's a great mid-sized SUV. The drive is very smooth. Power is more than enough for everyday highway drive, the gripping on the ground is great, the suspension is similar to European stiff. The infotainment doesn't lag and is very smart. The HUD provides information and animation that I didn't expect and know despite I watched numerous online videos reviews. The nappa leather is extremely delicate. Sunscreen stays and takes multiple times of cleaning in order to get the hue out. Less than 2 weeks of driving, the battery died and I couldn't start my GV70. They are now replacing the battery and I hope it won't disappoint again.

A sports car in a SUV shell

New car purchase was friendly and respectful, thanks to Matt Rossi. Lots of fun to drive. Gas mileage lower than advertised. Takes some time to learn and discern all the functions. A follow-up zoom call (optional) for new buyers would be awesome. Overall thumbs up!

Great vehicle but Genesis Corporate and Dealers could use improvements

Love my GV70 but can’t use it for towing because a wiring harness isn’t available and I only found out hitch was available through GV70 forums. Genesis needs to get its act together. Both Genesis and several dealers told me hitch not available. Got part# and lo/behold local dealer can order, nobody can find wiring harness and Genesis cannot tell us when it will be available

GV 70 2022 model

Overall it’s a terrific car and excellent value give the level of technical, mechanical and safety features. Very few modifications are needed in my early experience with the car. Real challenge is not product, but huge disconnect with the Hyundai dealers.

Overall it is a car that I will enjoy driving for years but wait for the next model year

The YouTube review videos are accurate. It is a great car. Engine and transmission are responsive. Styling is great and it gets a lot of looks and questions. It is really close to being completely awesome but there are a few quirks. At high speeds, there are odd noises that make you think something is broken on the sides of the car and yet nothing is visible. Some of the navigation around the infotainment doesn't quite work right. For the money, the seats are not that comfortable for long rides. The cabin noise could be a bit more quiet...not expecting some unreasonable level of quiet, it could just be better for the money. The gas mileage is lower than advertised. Also, the car might be more stressful to drive with all of the bells and whistles on for collision warning and lane warnings and such. They sometimes freak out for no reason. But overall, for the money, it is still a great car with a lot to like. I would still encourage anyone to go out and get one and you will enjoy it...but my main advice it to wait until the next model year so they can hopefully iron out some of the bugs of the first run cars. Genesis in Denton was a pleasure to work with so I'd recommend them highly.

Awesome

This is my dream car, and the nicest vehicle I ever owned. Hopefully, they will keep making it better and better in the coming years. This vehicle turns heads and I constantly get stopped and asked about it. It is totally loaded with features and technology and that is important to me.

A gem

With the exception of the two complaints I have, the car was a good choice. I sold our second car so this is our primary transportation. It’s good looking, functional, fun to drive, comfortable and draws attention wherever I go. Now I’ll just fill in the characters by saying this is the most comprehensive survey I’ve ever taken.

GV70

I really enjoy driving my GV70! My previous vehicles were a Cadillac and a Mercedes and this car provides more conveniences and more comfort. We also own 3 other Hyundai vehicles due to the reliability, design, tech and price. We bought 2 cars in one day and paid full price, for my Genesis and an Ioniq. We were not planning to buy a car but found these products to be must haves. I didn't know the matte paint would require so much care but am happy I bought this car

Over all nice vehicle... disappointed at defective parts day after I took the vehicle home. Took in the car but no parts were available to fix. Very disappointed that the new vehicle has this type of malfunction. Still have no eye on theparts... it been almost a month.

GV70 white on black suv

I love the car! I just think it’s a little expensive for what it is. I would recommend it to other people but not sure if my friends would spend money on a car that isn’t very well known. I just went into the dealership and I liked this car , I was looking for the Santa FE and ended up with this!

Nice upgrade from My Last work vehicle

I really like the GV70, I like the color the style, and the features, I have yet to try it in the snow. Its fun to drive, gas mileage is ok, Since only takes premium that can get expensive. Interior is nice but its easy to confuse the circle transmission switch with the toggle for the the screen, Matt paint is a really problem can not use a car wash. When living in a northern climate. How do you expect us to keep it clean? Cant afford to hand wash every other week.

Turn up the bass

I love mostly everything about my Genesis except the volume buttons are way too small when this big huge dial in the middle could have been used for the volume. Some features have to constantly be set and reset upon entering the vehicle. I feel like im in a cockpit some times prior to flight

Nquire

Traded a BMW in for my Gv70. Quickly found the electronics to be less intuitive. However, my salesperson has gone the extra miles to help me make the transition. Fuel mileage is not what I hoped for. Comfort is much better than expected. Design is eye catching.
