Compare Genesis before you purchase, quality is surprising excellent

My wife and I compared a lot of luxury vehicles all the top brands, we both were in agreement the Genesis was superb, we both liked it better for comfort and ride quality and style. Also the team of people that helped us were very professional friendly and respectful we had the best experience compared to many other dealerships. We could not be happier with our purchase, 10 out of 10 in every aspect.

Great car - too many annoying bugs at this price

Does all the main stuff well. Great interior, good power (3.5), super quiet, comfortable ride despite huge wheels. The "Smart Liftgate" will open the hatch into your garage door and while you are washing it. Stupid. Have to turn it off in the system and hope it stays that way. Per Genesis service the "digital key" can "wake the car up and drain the battery - mine did this. Really? Stupid design and horrible execution The collision avoidance stuff ripped the steering wheel out of my hands during a fast section of highway lane merge and nearly caused an accident. If you have 2 drivers with different phones it doesn't switch phones to the driver without menu diving - pretty annoying.

Love my new GV70.

Great ride. Love the styling inside and out. Plenty of power when needed, smooth ride. The big screen is excellent. I'm still learning a lot of the features. There are many nice touches. The sales process was the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Gas hog

Had the 2026 GV 70 since the end of March. Love the ride and the smooth comfort and all of the technology. The gas mileage sucks for a 4 cylinder engine. That turbo sucks it up. I am not heavy footed but the best I can get city driving is 17mpg. Highway driving 28 mpg. My 2015 Genesis sedan with the 3.8 liter, 6 cylinder engine got 24 to 25 mpgs city driving. Sorry I traded that car with only 80,000 miles on it in for this very expensive SUV and feed it constantly. I really thoughtthat this car would be the last new car I would buy but not so. Very disappointed in the horrible gas consumption. Looking to trade in on a Mazda CX50 hybrid or the Honda hybrid for better fuel efficiency. Will not go all electric.
