Stuff I don’t like and would not buy again

1 Radio controls are awful. I repeat awful. 2 The engine shutting off every time you stop requiring you to hit the reset button is crazy …my BMW X5 once you push the button and shut the auto-off system off it stayed off until you re-engaged it. I wouldn’t buy an another Hyundai with the same system currently in the vehicle where you have to re-punch that button every time you restart the vehicle. 3 The steering wheel design looks like it’s from a 1980 Buick. None of the radio controls are marked. I hate the radio volume control rolling wheel. 4 The Hyundai NAV system looks like an Etch-a-Sketch from the 70s. It has virtually no detail …at night it’s nothing more than a single line on a dark screen. I always use Apple CarPlay navigation instead. 5 I love the ride, it is the quietest vehicle I’ve owned 6 The back hatch edge does not have a lip on it so if you have to hatch open in the rain, the rain runs off on top of your head if you’re standing underneath it 7 The interior and seats are amazingly comfortable best thing about the vehicle 8 In the rear deck, the driver side needs cubby built-in to be able to put spray cans like tire dressing and wipes, The passenger side cubby in the rear deck is too small, and needs to be longer and slightly wider 9 I love the metallic silver paint In the tan leather premium interior best color option available on the 2024 model 10 The seat air conditioner seems to come on by itself if you turn the temperature down low enough. The seat AC control button on the flat screen is too close to the temperature control wheel. It is too easy to inadvertently turn on or off the seat AC 11 The glass material used for the touchscreens fingerprints way too easy for both the map control screen & the radio / environmental Control screen, guess that why is why the entire display system was redesigned in 2025 12 i like like the 22 inch wheel design and size a lot! 13 now to the grill. Whoever thought, designing a chrome plastic grill with 300 little spaces in it would be a good idea. The engineer that designed that should have to come to my house and clean it after getting it covered with road grime in the snow…. you literally have to clean with the towel square by square and clean each one of the 300 individual squares. What a crazy idea that design is…the grill is impossible to keep clean.

Quality

Have not had this vehicle for a year yet and so far we had 2 repairs done, AC and Head unit. So far not happy with vehicle.

Amazing and Elegant

The GV80 is an amazing luxury vehicle. The ride is smooth and so comfortable. I have two things I would change and I know one of them has in the 2025 model. Wireless car play and the back hatch design so it doesn’t drip water after rain or a car wash.

completely dissatisfied

Unfortunately, I was sold a faulty vehicle. And when contacting genesis corporate about it, they had the audacity to offer me $700 dollars and a requirement to sign off on Genesis being responsible for any further problems that may arise with my vehicle. If that isn't a sure fire way to confirm that I was sold a faulty vehicle and that Genesis wants to wash their hands of me and this vehicle, as well as solidifying the fact that I will never purchase another genesis vehicle again, I don't know what else that response could be good for. It was pretty much a slap in the face.

Beautiful Looking But.....

Waited 2 years to be able to afford and everything I thought I was getting in my GV80 was not there and just could not afford to spend another 10K for sun roof, cool seats, rear heated seats. Wish the seats were more comfortable.

GV80 is close to being a 10 out of 10.

GV80 looks great inside and out, especially the matte green exterior paint. A few nagging issues and "softer" ride keep it from being a 10. The dealership has not been responsive in addressing the nagging issues.

Dashboard

This vehicle has a great and elegant design, and its quality is impressive. However, there are several features missing that prevent it from being the top contender. One major issue is that the dashboard controls are too far away to easily access. The rolling control knob is not useful for CarPlay, and the inclusion of an unnecessary writing pad is baffling; it is dangerous to write while driving. Voice commands would be a much safer option. Additionally, the wireless charging feature has never worked with my iPhone since I purchased the vehicle almost two years ago. Despite this, the dealer has not offered any solutions to fix the issue. I find it disappointing, especially considering that iPhone users make up a significant portion of the American market. Thank you for not addressing this problem.

Terrible car

Exterior has some style, but inside feels cheap and poorly thought through. Adaptive cruise not only doesn't work well, it is just flat out dangerous is certain situations and will cause an accident. The ride is rough.
