Great vehicle

I bought this car brand new. It handles well and gets great gas mileage! I average 26 to 29 mpg. My last vehicle only got about 20 mpg. This is a smaller vehicle with a smaller gas tank but, it is well worth it. The only thing I would change is I would have purchased a Kona with all power. This one does not have power seats or the blue star or whatever it's called. Overall though, it's a great little suv with awd.

Ok

Noisy in highway, no folding mirrors, no memory seats and no front camera for parking . Kind of disappointing but as a third car it’s ok. Low fuel consumption, size of the car is good, good styling, small car and the response in the snow is really good with the AWD

Overall Satisfied

Overall like this car. I am a member of the Hyundai family. My biggest complaint is that this model does not have the option for remote start and unlike with my last lease, I didn’t get complimentary service for the duration of my lease.

Recent Kona purchase

I purchased a Kona, but did not test drive the one that I ultimately purchased. When I had troubles with vehicle, I was told to give it more time because it was a "known issue". Make sure to test drive your car first.

Smooth handling... small suv

I enjoy driving my kona because of its easy handling, smooth ride and comfortable seating... it’s a little small for traveling but gets excellent mileage ( 28-30!) So far it’s been maintenance free. The Apple carplay and features have been easy to learn. It’s a sporty choice for a smaller SUV. All wheel drive is a bonus!

Great Kona......Try driving!!!!

This car is delightful. So many colors now. I have white and love the contrast with black design outside. I give it 4 Stars to 5 Stars only because I like a little more room. And want larger console. Tough to store many things like pen, paper, glasses, etc. in small space. I have to use side panels for additional storage. Overall this is My kind of car. I can always tell by driving for 5 minutes. The Kona did this for me!!!

Amazing Car, Amazing Price!

This car is seriously amazing. It’s a good size (even if the backseat has like NO leg room), has amazing features like Apple CarPlay and daytime running lights which lower your car insurance, all wheel drive, sports drive mode, etc.

Very little wrong with the Kona

It is a nice car to drive, very comfortable, roomy in both front and back seats. Like the turning ratio. Could have automatic seats for the price. Windows are great to be able to have them go on their own when engaged. First time I've had the controls on the steering wheel. Like that a lot. The ease of setting up phone with the interior screen. All in all is a nice car. Very little anything not liked.

Structure of Vehicle

The height of the KONA is perfect to enter and exit for me, I am short at 4 ft. 10 in. All devices to change temperature, radio stations and all other items are within easy reach to driver. I find the small screen above dashboard showing the speed limit and speed I am going is very visible and helpful. To adjust drivers seat is convenient but passenger side is manual and difficult to reach.

kona awsome

First, I like my Kona. Like all cars this one needs more power.(never enough) Why can't the infotainment system stay where I left it. I always have to reset it on start up. Also it is slow to respond. The headlights on bright could reach farther. 4 stars because no car gets 5 stars. There is a lot to like, these are just the stand out negative items.

STYLING

THIS VEHICLE HAS A LOT OF CHARM AND PEP, HOWEVER THE GAS MILEAGE IS NOT WHAT IT SHOULD BE FOR THAT TYPE OF CAR. IT LACKS A REMOTE OPENING TAILGATE WHICH I THINK SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS A DONUT/SPARE TIRE. LOTS OF COMMENTS ON THE STYLE FROM FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

My new Kona rocks.

Good value for the money, lots of safety features, has everything you need from blue tooth, hands free phone, drive assist. Lane assist, backup camera, heated seats, cargo space, good gas mileage. Fun to drive.

Beautiful exterior handles very well

I love the look and handling of this Kona. It is fun to drive easy to handle. The exterior is beautiful and the safety features are outstanding especially the pop up display. The sound system is fantastic clear and crisp. The exterior is lacking and storage is badly lacking. The cargo space is small and the sets do not fold down flat. The center console is small and poorly placed. The amount of plastic in the interior makes the overall experience lack it feels cheap. The seats could use a few more inches forward to accomodate comfort

Overall a very nice vehicle, but could stand more power

When acceleration is needed, a lack of power causes the transmission to downshift and races the engine. It needs more power, thereby increasing the torque. This causes the transmission to shift in a jerky manner and really races the engine.

I loved my new SUV 2020 Hyundai Kona SEL. The standard equipment had a lot of safety features. It had a 5 years/60,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty and a 10 years/10,0000 miles powertrain warranty. This SUV was a good and fun car to drive.

Kona

Love the size, features are great, needs a heated steering wheel also a button in the car to open the hatch. I always had the sonata for years and loved it. I just wanted to get something smaller with all where I drive. This is the perfect size. It could use a few more options.

Great Car

I wish it looked a little less outdoorsy, personally and more cute, but I like everything else about it. I bought the Turbo because it accelerated better than all the other veheciles in it's class. I wanted a small SUV but still needed the power, because I enjoy driving.

Good buy with a few minuses

Good solid car small small minuses, noisy cabin, hard ride, head lights should be LED. The interior is nicely appointed but the use of plastic on door panels and throughout the interior gives the Kona a lower priced car.
