A good overall car

Nice car!!

A great car, the only thing I would change is I wish the car had better acceleration. And they could make the trunk a little larger. It’s a fun, safe and reliable car to drive. Has a lot of safety features.

I had my mind made up before arriving at the dealer. The sale person was so patient with all my questions and concerns. I wish I had asked about a luggage rack. I never though about the vehicle have one.

The Kona is a great little car. If i can make a suggestion when you buy yours, get the sunroof. You will love the gas savings and it handles quite well..It is 4 cyc, so not super get up and go, but certainly enough to get out there quickly when you need to..

I like the vehicle.

This is the first vehicle I have had with so many amenities. Roomy, comfortable vehicle. I was looking for a good (very good) has mileage, dependable vehicle and I think I found it. I did take the head rests off the back seats for better visibility.

Great vehicle for mom’s.

It is a nice vehicle. The two tone dark red and black was very nice. I liked all the bells and whistles that came with it. The lane keep assist was probably the best part. The heated seats were very useful in the winter and for my back as well. The biggest issue was the lack of legroom in the back seat.

Enjoy the handling and the advanced features. Interior panels are too hard plastic.Seats are comfortable and scratch easily. Interior panels vibrate and tub against each other. Engine ca be a little buzzy.

Fantastic compact SUV

When I saw the sunset orange Kona I was obsessed. It gets decent gas mileage, has a cute exterior and comes in compact size. The vehicle has been consistent over the past year and love the bells and whistles.

Great vehicle but ride sucks

I love this 2020 Kona for its power, interior comfort, and gas mileage, but have 2 complaints. First, the ride is stiff like there are no springs or shocks. The slightest bump is harsh. The test drive on smooth roads did not reveal this. If I had experienced the harsh ride at test, I would not have purchased the car. Second, I purchased a service agreement but when I took the car to a Hyundai dealer closer to my home and different from the one I bought the car from, they charged me for the oil change.

Overall I have been satiated with the vehicle. Haven't driven as much as usual,Coved, less than 6000 miles.Has a little wind noise at higher speed could be a little better. I would say the Kona is a very good purchase.

Adorable but slow

I love the look of this car. It’s cute, compact and gets you from point A to point B. If you like speed, I would not recommend this car. Storage is great cause the back seats fold flat (after taking the head rests off) and you can pile so much in there!

Great, but not a family friendly vehicle!

Great, but not a family friendly vehicle! If you have children, this is not the vehicle for you. At the time of purchase, children were not a possibility for my husband and I, so that factor was not in place for the decision of our purchase. Since, we've been blessed with a little one and there is simply no room and we are scrambling to find something different. This is in no way Hyundai's fault but rather operator choice error, however, I'd hate to see a family purchase this vehicle thinking it'll be great for small children.....IT IS NOT! Go bigger!

Bang for your buck

When looking for a city car, with good gas mileage, and the ability to fit more than a typical sedan-- this was the way to go! I'm a traveling nurse, so I needed something reliable I could do a lot of driving in, and get good mileage doing. We like to hike and camp, so having a crossover was important for not only space (for moving frequently) but versatility when getting to hard to reach trails. Very satisfied with the Kona, overall. HOWEVER, the exterior plastic does scuff easily and the interior leather has torn from folding down the seats and having the seatbelt caught in between. Otherwise, it's a great car for being under $30k, and highly recommended for people who need a smaller city car, but want something more durable than a sedan.

2020 Hyundai Kona EV Ultimate trim

I love just about everything about it. I am getting over 131 eMPG with this vehicle and a near 300 mile range. The Heads-Up Display works great. It will display Current Speed, Cruise Control Speed, Speed Limit, next Turn By Turn direction and distance, Lane Keeping Assist information. It also displays cars in blind spot on left/right of you. My major complaint and this is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it is advertised as a SUV. I doesn't come with any roof rails and none are available after purchase. It is a SPORTS Utility Vehicle! This limits its usage. Kayak/canoe, skiis or lumber (5 ft back of front seat to Liftgate) can't fit inside with the Liftgate open. At least it won't suck in and exhaust from the vehicle.

Great car

Was looking for a car for tall people and found it. I love it. I only have minor issues with it. BCW system picks up phantom cars, it consumes a bit too much oil, no key fob remote start and back window is a little hard to keep clean with the weird slope.

navigation and auto start are hard to do. Battery on car went dead after two weeks of setting. Two different times car would not start dealer could not tell me why this happened. Also, told dealer that I had problems with the navigation system

2020 Kona Ultimate

Fun car to drive. Inside room excellent for this size car. Controls easy to use. Good safety features. A little less road noise and we think this car would separate itself from it's competitors. Excellent value, and so far we have had no issues with it's operation.
