LIKED IT FROM DAY 1

From the moment I test drove the KONA, I enjoyed the styling and overall feel of the vehicle. All of the options were easily spelled out, and didn't take long to master. It's just a fun vehicle to drive!

Great little car

First thing I liked about the car was the style of the exterior body features. It’s a crossover with an aggressive look and a great drive train option. The 1.6T Ultimate is a quick, responsive, comfortable good-looking vehicle. However, Hyundai could have spent more time and attention to perfecting the DCT on low speeds and city stop and go. It gets a little jerky at low speeds but that’s the nature of some DCT cars. There’s a lot of engine noise on cold starts but that’s high pressure injectors for you.

A fun little car!

The Kona is a great little car with plenty of safety and comfort features. It is easy to drive and park and has good visibility. It is easy to get into and out of and has plenty of leg room front and back. It is probably best as an around town errand car rather than road trip car, especially if more than 2 are traveling.

Excellent value for money

Sporty and perky car with good mileage and amenities. Thisnis the second Kona in my family. My son has the 1.6 turbo but I got the non turbo one. Looks and handles great but could use some upgrades on entry models. Overall, happy with the car.

Kona is awesome!

The 2020 Hyundai Kona is awesome! I got the SEL trim level. I love the color choices, the interior design. I enjoy the drive! the transmission is super smooth! A couple of downfalls, the audio volume is too low from all audio sources. The interior door panels are all hard plastic including the arm rests. The tires are not the greatest especially with road noise. Overall it’s a great vehicle, and I’m glad I went with this over the Nissan Kicks.

Almost perfect

The Kona is a third car for me. I wanted a small utility vehicle for moving things around and mounting a bike rack on. In all honesty, i am not a fan of SUVs and was unimpressed by some of the competitors...heavy, dull handling and abysmal gas mileage even on the highway. The Kona handles like a car, routinely gets 30+ mpg on the highway and doesn't look like every other small SUV. The engine is a bit anemic for passing, but I knew that would be the tradeoff for better mpg. Hyunday, if you want the 5th star, offer a manual transmission. Both my other cars have "sticks" but trying to find an SUV with a manual is like trying to find the map to the Lost Dutchman Mine. Oh well.

The Kona

What else is there to do during Corona and social distancing than get a new car. Than go for long drives to see the country side around you and follow the roads that peak your interest. Just you, your car, and the road ahead. Just remember to turn back in time to make it home for supper.

the ride is a bit hard coming from a sporty c30 Volvo . mileage is good , technology in car is very good , I can voice text and call anyone in my phone with ease. A bit small for my tall family of Four .

Nicely designed compact SUV

I chose to buy a Kona because of it's size and many safety features. Plus I wanted a brightly color car so I got a lime green one. The front seats are comfortable although I wish the passenger seat could be adjusted more. The back seat area has very little leg room so I wouldn't recommend the car for a family unless they have small children. The most irritating thing about the Kona and why I didn't give it an excellent rating is the engine hesitation that occurs when stepping down on the gas from a stop. It only lasts a few seconds but I haven't yet figured out how to keep it from happening. And if I step down on the gas too much after the hesitation ends the car engine takes off. This is requiring some getting used to. Another pet peeve is the lack of a spare tire. I'd suggest purchasing that option when you buy it.

Good Value

My Kona is stylish has good value. The Kona gets good fuel mileage and rides good. I like the appearance and the way it rides. It has a very appealling interior and the seats are comfortable. Overall has nice electronic media package. I do think GPS should be standard with vehicle. The price of the Kona was fair.

kona lease

I traded my leased Tucson in for the 2020 Kona due to a need for a smaller SUV. I have had it only a month and due to the Coronavirus pandemic have not driven very much. I find the stability due to the shorter base less desirable and the ride not as smooth. will need to drive it more to reassess.

Other small SUV that I’ve looked at felt less than compare to this one. Great value with all the bells and whistles. The gas mileage is great too which is always a great thing. The Kona is super well made.

Just love my bulldog go-cart Kona. Just a joy to drive. Never just loved a car form the get go before. Pretty sweet ride. Great for 2 people. Plenty of room to put daily and weekend stuff. Sport mode takes car to new level.

Kona Surf Blue Color

I love my 2020 Kona. It is roomier than it looks. The gas mileage is a little more than estimated. I get many positive comments on the Kona. My salesperson was patient and applied no pressure . He stayed in touch by phone and e-mail.
