Perfect Size Car

I love my 2021 Kona! It is a sharp looking car re the interior and exterior and is a pleasure to drive! This is the second time leasing it and most likely will lease another Kona again when it is time to turn it in. It’s the perfect size for me and it serves all my purposes. It’s very easy to get in and out of, gives excellent mileage, and trunk size meets my needs. Overall, it’s a great car for the money!

Nice car but issues the dealerships are too busy to fix

For the most part we enjoy our Kona but there have been issues with the electronics, trim and engine recalls that dealerships are too busy to fix. The rear trim on the hatch fell down and blocked my view. It was 6-weeks to get an appointment despite being unable to see out the back. I took it to a local mechanic to fix. I was told the engine recalls have overwhelmed the dealers and repairs like mine need to be delayed. No loaners are available either and this is my primary vehicle.

I'm Happy I bought This car

I had no car for 25 years and then decided it was time to buy one. I am not looking for fancy or status, just a good,m reliable vehicle and this gives me everything I need. So far, no problems, and I hope that remains so.

Stylish but enough storage

This vehicle is ok but not what I was expecting as far as storage since it's classified as a small SUV. There is very little leg room in the back. Driver side door panel s limited on space, no room for a drink. Not satisfied the the gas mileage/range.

This is my first Hyundai and I am happy with it. The car is cute and gets good gas mileage. The car is reliable and has a good warranty. I wish It had GPS and the ability to start the car from the house.

Like my Kona that it is the right size for me

I like my Kona that it is the right size and it saves me gas. Kona is used for school and work only. I would recommend this small suv for anyone that just need a ride for work or school because it’s not too big or too small. It is the right size.

Hyundai Kona

Had to replace my old vehicle during the pandemic. My old vehicle was totaled and my insurance company gave me a Kona while getting the claim settled, so I essentially had a 3-week test drive for a Kona. Seems to be a great car, and I don't regret buying it (although sometimes, I wish I'd gotten a red one instead of white LOL).

One Year & We Love Our Kona Even More!!!

We got Our Brand New Kona last year and we absolutely Love Her. She drives Great through all kinds of weather: snow storms, heavy rains, dunes, etc. Our Kona has accompanied us on all our adventures. She celebrated her first 10,000 miles at Yellowstone, in the middle of nowhere, and brought us back home safe and sound. Kona AWD is really a Great Car and we Gladly Recommend Her!!!

Would not recommend too many problems even with low millage on a brand new car with only 22 miles on it from dealership I wish I never would have gotten rid of my Nissan juke for this sad excuse for a car

Engine failure

I helped my daughter purchase her first new car. Engine went out and left her stranded after 12k miles. We bought the new car for a reliable source to get her to college and work. It took a week to get her a rental. We are now waiting for the motor to be replaced under warranty. This was a big disappointment.

Handles poorly in adverse conditions..

Would rate at 5 fun to drive and zippy in good road conditions but handles terible in adverse conditions. This would be a great car if you never needed the all wheel drive. I was would test drive in snow if you live in an area where it snows.

Fun with a Turbo

I bought this 2021 Kona Limited based on the experiences of others who had bought earlier year models. The Limited comes heavily loaded with technology and a proven 1.6T engine that provides plenty of power. The handling is surprisingly good for a small CUV and visibility is very good. The seats are comfortable and the controls are all where you would expect them to be and easy to reach/operate from the drivers seat. Fuel economy meets or exceeds the EPA rating as long as you don't play too much with the turbo.

Poor response and quality

For the first few months, I didn't trust in this vehicle due to the engine poor response/acceleration. it takes several seconds in response The fan was broken in the first 14000 miles. Some parts in the trunk fall off and others were broken in the first 6 months.

Single driver

Nice,, reliable, comfortable vehicle which gives me more room.and a sense of safety. Only drawback is stiff steering. Looking forward to seeing how it performs on snow and mountains. I like road trips and the car is comfortable for driving long distances..however,.limited trunk room in back requires putting back seats down for more storage.

great to drive and easy to handle.

I like every aspect of the Kona--have had no trouble with it and have high confidence in Hyundai. The only exception is that there is no Navigation system. All the controls are easy to see and easy to manipulate.

Sporty and fun to drive!

I use my '21 Kona SEL as my daily driver. It is so fun to drive. It would have been real nice to have built-in navigation but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. Also i would have liked some different material for the seats but they are still good enough.
