Superior quality in looks, fit and finish. Stellar infotainment with touch-screen.

I needed to replace my 2005 Suzuki Aerio AWD which is a small, but hi-profile vehicle. Some mocked it as a "clown car" but being tall, I liked the ease of getting in and out of it. So, I looked for cars that were close to the dimensions first of all as this was main priority, along with AWD. The Kona Limited had exactly what I looked for and had all the bells and whistles of our (3) Mazda CX-5's. The quality of the Harmon Kardon audio with 8 speakers surpasses the sound in our 2023 (2017 & 2020) Mazda CX5's with their 10-speaker sound so that was a big surprise. Of course the added tech and safety features and 5 star crash ratings far surpassed the Aerio, and I think surpassed the CX5 as well. I'm very pleased but wish there was a liftgate release feature in the Kona, power passenger seats & the ability to turn off the stop/start engine permanently, and not at every start up of the car. And I'm still trying (at 200 miles to get used to/learn how to drive the DCT as find it quirky. Otherwise, this car rates a 10 in my book.

Love the car. Just hope reliability issues are solved

Needed a new dependable car. Broke down at 280 miles. Still searching for a dependable car. New cars known for their reliability shouldn’t break down second time you drive it. Been using a rental when we go out of town

Happy Happy new car owner

We researched several cars and set a spending limit. Fuel economy was a big factor and to have it in a sporty vehicle is great. The Kona headlights illuminate the road beautifully. Sporty ride that reminds me of my favorite Karman Ghia.

Auto enthusiast with 40 years dealership and professional racing experience

The Kona N fit my needs exactly as a fun to drive, relatively economical, daily use vehicle. It has not disappointed. Out of 4 cars, it is my go-to vehicle for most of my travels. I especially like the versatility of the drive modes. I leave it in normal or eco mode when in my own neighborhood to keep things quiet, but can turn the Kona into a beast at the push of a button.

2023 Kona N

This is a phenomenally fun vehicle. There is no apparent reason to produce a “Subcompact, crossover SUV” that is track capable other than, “Because we can.” Apparently, the U.S. market wants SUVs and Crossovers more so than hatchbacks. I would have bought an i30 N given the chance because I was really leaning toward a 2023 VW Golf R. The Kona N is actually smaller and lighter than the Golf R with a great price point. It is FWD only, but that does not detract from its performance and handling. The factory warranty was a big deciding factor, to include track use! Who does that? I’m glad I scooped up this gem before it goes the way of the Veloster N.

Cruise hasn’t worked since day one; NO fix

The cruise has never worked on this Kona and the dealer has no fix. They have another one that has been sitting in the shop for over a month with the same issue. No fix, no loaner and no rental for my upcoming long trip. DO NOT BUY!

Love it!

This car is absolutely fun to drive! Can’t wait to drive it everyday! Love the color, handling, quickness. Turns heads! Love the interior and it’s functional features! I love my 22 Santa Fe but this Kona N takes the cake!

Bought brand new

Overall it’s an alright car. Paid a little bit more because of the car market but could have better performance specs. I bought the limited fully version which I had to pay more. Delivery was okay but could been a better car

Great little vehicle but some features are a challenge

The Kona N-Line is a sharp fun vehicle. Great gas mileage and handling with a powerful 1.8L Turbo engine. Maybe slightly overpriced vs some competitor vehicles in same category but great buy. Some features are difficult to find when using the displays but overall ease of use is great with the large display.

Very Happy with Kona

Great for both road trips but also a great fit for a city with tighter parking and garages. A lot of great features especially for the price! Good fuel economy both in the city and on the highway. Has been a great value and fit for our family.

Really good car

Very solid and stylish car. I would rate it higher except it is burdened with a IVT transmission. Loses a large amount of performance and daily drivability if you live near any hills and use your cruise control. Steering is very sharp and brakes are responsive.

Best little hot hatch out there. Good enough for a daily driver, fast enough to feel like you’re driving a sports car. The customization is beyond anything in its class. You can tune the suspension, exhaust, drive modes. I love the ride, fuel economy is great. N mode is all out fun especially with the NGS button (N Grin Shift)

Love my new Kona!

Little hot hatch is back. I like the versatility and how it handles and drives. Sporty meets fuel efficient with cargo room. While it seems small at first it’s a really fun car to drive. Infotainment system is awesome and love the blue link features (remote start choices, locate, etc.)
