SEL Activity - A Good Value

I was looking for a small truck that fits in a garage and was easy for elderly parents to get in; the only choices are the Santa Cruz and the Ford Maverick. To get an apples-to-apples comparison to a SEL Activity, you need to add the luxury and co-pilot 360 options to the Maverick XLT; the Santa Cruz is a better deal. I wish Hyundai offered a hybrid option. I think when you move up to the XRT and Limited trims, the value for your money is not there. The interior is comfortable, and the tech is easy to use. The performance is acceptable, and the MPG is what I expected for the size of the vehicle. The bed size is adequate for what I use it for, and I like the lockable factory tonneau cover.

Santa Cruz

It's OK, I didn't appreciate the $45 first aid kit, Seemed like Hyudai taking one last chance to screw the customer. I like how it drives & the ability to turn on the rear camera on occasion. Main dislike is that my knee keeps hitting the temperature knob - poor design on the center console.Also, when reversing, it's kind of one great big blind spot, especially with the tailgate down. Rear window is too high & too small. The setting where it re-locks the doors if they aren't opened in a few seconds is a real pain. If I want to carry something in the house to the vehicle, the doors lock before I get there. which is idiotic. I don't think I'll forget why I unlocked the doors. At least give it a few minutes. Also, it would have been nice to have some kind of cover for the rear-seat storage. If I fold up the seats, anything I put back there mingles with what's in the bin.

Great compact truck loaded with features and a great warranty

We were in the market for a compact pickup, and the Santa Cruz was head and shoulders above its competitors at the end of the evaluation process. It is better constructed than the Ford maverick, more economical than the Honda Ridgeline, and has a standard warranty that far exceeds both. The Santa Cruz has room for 5 and is more than capable as a truck, with a good towing capacity as well as better fuel mileage than larger pickups.

Excellent vehicle, lots of acceleration with turbo engine. Fun to drive. Very confortable interior. Exterior with excellent styling, lots of head turnings when driving it on the street.

Love my XRT

There's nothing I don't love about my Santa Cruz XRT. It gets up and goes when you need it. Very comfortable, good gas mileage, the stero has excellent sound quality, it looks cool and it's practical. It's just an all around fantastic vehicle.

Auto working great so far but

The only complaint I have so far is the tailgate remote button. I must hit it in my pocket there should be some notification if it is open and doors are locked but there isn’t. Many times I have gone outside and the tailgate is down. No notification from the app. Good thing there wasn’t anything in it but I have had to keep things in there overnight and have gone out and checked tro make sure it is up.

Love It!

The Santa Cruz is everything I hoped for. The ride is smooth and comfortable. Doesn't ride like a truck at all. At this time, the only thing I would change would be adding a couple of inches for legroom or adults riding in the back seat. Not really a problem for us though as we very seldom have riders in the back.

Bought a Sanra Cruz and it perfect for me as I do not need a full size truck. The ride is great , the handling is great, the options are better than others too! So far this little car-truck LOL as exceeded my expectations.
