Love everything about this car except the programming of the stereo system.

I purchased this vehicle in August 2015 and love everything about it except the stereo system. However, the stereo system is so frustrating that i would be discouraged from buying a Hyundai vehicle in the future. The sound is fine but usage of the system is problematic. For example, the random shuffle program recycles every time you turn on the car so you hear the identical songs over and over unless you manually redo the shuffle program every time you turn on the car. This happens with both the usb and the My Music (250 mb) storage. Also, in order to copy songs into the My Music storage you must copy them one at a time as they play. I tried to copy 250 mb of music off of a usb at one time and found no function to do this. After making such strides in design and build quality over the years I was surprised that Hyundai would be so negligent in addressing a basic function of the driving experience. It's not as if proper random programming or copy functions are not available. They were available in the stereo of the car I traded in and in every cell phone on the market. I think they went cheap on this aspect of the driving experience. Also, you can't change it out for a decent stereo that does all of these things without losing the steering wheel controls. Just terrible.

This section is unclear on what you are seeking.

This vehicle is mainly used for driving to and from work. Don't recommend it on trips longer than 300 miles. Both main drivers found the seats uncomfortable. Had to use pillows under knees as cushions. One driver complains at 100 miles. It gets better mileage than expected. The head restraints push our heads forward too much for comfort. Recommend head restraints in the rear seats be tilt-able for better visibility ... check out the Chevrolet pick-ups with crew cabs for guidance.

Sante fe 2015

this car is OK. I loved it when i got it, now i just like it. It is a beautiful car with great features and designs, but it is HORRIBLE on gas and also after 1 year, the brakes is not "sharp", the responsiveness is slow, i doubt that is wear and tear after 1 year. overall the car is just OKAY, i dont hate it, but i dont love it

lighting

the night lights have a distinct line above the height of the car and is dark above the line, also resulting in poor lighting going around corners. also, have continuing problems with grit coming into the cabin..have changed the cabin filter four times since purchase..still getting crud in..

2016 Sante Fe Sport

I really liked it. I had the Tuscan before so it was a great upgrade. One thing I do not like is that I was extremely disappointed that it could not be upgraded to the Apple Car Play. I am very displeased about that. I really find it hard to understand. Vehicles older than mine could be upgraded but not a new SantFe. I just find it really hard to believe there is no work around. And how the technology could be that different from one vehicle to the other with the same company. Just not happy about this at all!! I have been researching this issue and see I am not the only one either! The Navigation system is allot harder to work than a standard Garmin or an iPhone. Its annoying and frustrating. It does not let me see streets zoomed out so I can see options. It should not matter zoom ratio, you should see all the streets. I don't even use it anymore. The quality is a huge downgrade to what was available on Garmin's a decade ago. I Just use my iPhone map. Its free, easy to use and I don't have to pay to get map updates it part of my phone. I reviewed the latest map upgrade available but its $130. I just bought this car last year, I pay for all the link equipment yearly and it does not include map updates. And the updates I don't think are really worth it. Not yet. If they can get an apple play upgrade to install on my car, then it would be worth the map upgrade. Also other vehicles have remote start on their key fob. I have to launch an App for that. And pay for that service also. I am just starting to see that all these extra's are costing me extra in money every year on top of paying for them as added features when I bought the car. Maybe they were just are not worth it.

Good car but not for tall people

My wife is 5-4 and the location of the instruments seems to work for her. For a 6-2 guy, I feel cramped. Why isn't this a V-6? The steering wheel menu changer is lame...need to make the options changeable on the touchscreen The touchscreen interface is a little clumsy. How about putting the XM channels title on the tabs?

To many problems

i have had one recall on this vehicle and the blind side connector switch went out several times and had to be fixed. The car also had front wheel drive. What a mistake in my buying this model. I didn't know to buy all wheel drive. I bought the car from Sheehy Hyundai and I will never go back there to purchase another vehicle. Plus, the service department is the absolute worse. The driver seat is also loose. This is a 2015 model. Buyer Beware! What looks good on the outside is not always the best! The features for this car, though, cannot be beat for the price of the car. Go figure.

Reliable and dependable but if you want anything more than stock anything it's a pain to do. Rear speaks went out within two months of purchase.

What I don't like about my car.

The entry into the car is harder to enter I'm a short person and my head hits the top of the door entry. It is also harder for my disabled husband to enter the car on the passenger side, because of the contour of the door. There is nothing grab a hold of to help him enter.

My Santa Fe

Generally I like the vehicle but disappointed in the climate system. If one window is down the popping annoying sound is unlike other vehicles. This is a personal preference traveling with open windows but regardless it has an impact on my decisions.

Our SUV is not 3 years old and needed a new battery and new tires soon, only 17,000 miles the cost of this car is over priced. We will 98% not have another Hyundai again especially from Rick Case on 441 and Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale Florida
