Window too small

I think we paid too much for this car. The radio, picture window is way too small. The hatch back does not open or close automatically. There is not GPS. We have been impressed with the service. It is comfortable.

So far...good!

Although my vehicle is only at 15K, so far, I like the vehicle but disappointed in the mpg. I was new to the area when I bought this vehicle new & unfortunately, the salesman was not fair/honest in his representation of the cost...I certainly would not work with him on any future purchases.

Engine sluggishness is disappointing

I really enjoy my Santa Fe Sport as a vehicle, and am pleased it was our choice after shopping alot. The quality is excellent both interior and exterior and my only disappointment is the sluggishness that the turbo engine seems to have - like it is slightly clogged- and the overall mileage which is less than I hoped for

Seat bracket on driver side keeps breaking, I now have to pay to fix.

The car has been good for me so far, except the seat the driver side bracket having to keep replacing, then I would like better gas mileage. With all the trouble i've had with seat, most likely will buy again.

almost like this car

I really almost like this car. really fuel efficient and reliable. on the economic angle this has been a good car. Its a pretty good looking car and pretty comfortable and I am a large (6,2 250 male). love the sunroof. and is pretty well appointed on the inside. but a grossly under powered vehicle. the front wheel drive is heavy. Its not anything near sporty. Its an small suv but 4 25 pound bags of mulch in the back brings the rear springs down. While I would like to think I am refined enough to not need power... almost daily I think... this thing really needs a small 6 cylinder and some heavier suspension. my daughter loves the car and wants it when she is of age. and I think the car is perfect for a new driver

Three Years is Too Young for a Car to Have Problems

The most noticeable thing that has gone wrong in this SHORT time period is the Bluelink feature of the radio. It does not fully load for at least 5-7 minutes after starting up the car. I cannot change radio channels, I cannot see what temp it is in the car, I cannot see what time it is, etc. The local technicians have told me it's "in the radio itself. Will most likely cost $600-700 minimum. THE CAR IS ONLY 3 1/2 years off the assembly line. I am also noticing a lack of smooth shifting in the transmission. Could this be because a 4 cylinder is not as smooth-running as a 6-cylinder on this type of car with my type of long distance driving? These are things that are disappointing me about the Hyundai, and.......to be honest, I don't feel like a want to buy another. BTW, I TRY to keep my cars for at least 6-8 years.

No Apple CarPlay

Enjoy the drive and handling but disappointed Apple CarPlay is not available. This car 2015 Santa Fe 2.0T ultimate has 7 or 8 inch touchscreen navigation and Hyundai hasn’t made the CarPlay update available even though the 2015 Sonata and 2015 Genesis have CarPlay updates. I just had a required engine software update to detect a possible occurance of a future bearing vibration in the Theta II engines. The software update seemed to improve engine response and gas mileage but it was more of a seat of the pants estimation and a feeling while driving.

Disappointed with Hyundai for only the second time.

We were excited to purchase a Hyundai SUV for what is designed to be my wife's final car. Unfortunately this Sunday does not live up to the experience we have had with our sonata. It has the 2.0 turbo engine but it seems like the turbo has never really run cleanly and efficiently. Upon acceleration it just seems to load up and not accelerate smoothly. The latest factory recall is for concern over rod bolts damaging the internal components of the engine. so while I now have a new software system that will alert me to the banging in the engine I guess I am to assume that the engine will need to be worked on at some point in its life cycle. planning to keep this car for over 200,000 miles I am not exactly thrilled with the hundred and thirty thousand mile extended warranty that Hyundai is already offering due to this issue.

Love the looks, concerned about engine

I think the Santa Fe is a remarkably good looking mid size SUV. We looked at all the ones out there and glad we choose this, very pleased with the exterior and interior design. We have the 2.0 Turbo which has had several recalls in the past couple of years. We sure liked the acceleration of this engine during the test drives we did, but after 35,000 we seemed to notice it running not as smooth at idle and during highway entering. I imagine it has to do with the turbo. The mileage is generally 18-24 based on the ratio of city to highway miles in that tankfull.

Santa Fe sport:SONOTA

Very upset with the 3 recalls on the 2 vehicles. Quality control poor. So what if warranty is extended to 220K miles. I have never kept any of my vehicles less than 250K miles. So now I need to hold my breathe ...

Vehicle has a stalling problem.

Vehicle has a stalling problem that can't get resolved. I have had this checked many times with no satisfaction. Hyundai says they have no record of this from anyone else. I find it very difficult to believe that I am the only Hyundai owner that has this problem.

Like everything but the turbo engine

I still have a wonderful 2006 Hyundai with the V6 engine and love that car. When we decided on a new one it was natural for us to go straight to Hyundai. We were and still are impressed with everything about the Santa Fe Sport with the exception of the engine. The 4 cylinder turbo ran nice on the car we tested (not the one we bought) but ours seemed to pick up a combination of acceleration hesitation and surging when speeding up to get on a freeway or interstate. And at idle it seems to have more of an unevenness. We love the comfort of the seats, the interior fit and finish and the style of the exterior lines on this SUV.

Good and bad.

I have loved our sonata and had a deer not hit iit a couple months ago we would still be driving it happily, in addition to the newer Santa Fe sport that we have. the Santa Fe has the turbo 2.0 engine and it seemed to run crisper the first 10,000 miles. since then the turbo seems to lag as you're starting to kick it into play. we lovefhe styling the interior and the exterior of the car just not a big fan of the engine.

Problems never fixed

Sense I've had the car I've had problems with the idle when at a stop light, A feels like the car is going to shut off. The driver seat plastic wrap that holds the switches for the seat has broken now twice.

Engine good but paint terrible

I feel very safe in my Hyundai Santa Fe sport. But the paint job didn’t last three years and you can guess it’s only warranty for three years it looks terrible also inside interior some of the buttons come off decide panel for the chair driver seat also comes off many times had to replace twice and the warranty and then warranty expires but the engine is good the space is good to comfort is good. The air conditioning vents could be a little better not much comes out of them unless you blow it hard the sound is good quality not as good as Bose.

2015 Santa Fe Sport

I got the 2.4L with premium and tech package. Power is adequate. Use to V6's. Last veh was an Avalon. For the $$ a great deal. Love the panorama roof. Steering is better since I can change the feel with 3 options. Back up camera is a second set of eyes and with the large screen 8 inch a plus. What can I say THE TECH PACKAGE is a must. I was changing lanes and it bleeped. Saved me from hitting someone! It also warns you when a car is approaching. I always know my tire pressure in all 4 tires. Wish I had a full spare though. My Avalon had a full spare. If you are short like my wife is I recommend running boards. Tail lights need to be led at this trim level. Needs to be included with tech package. The quality of the interior is excellent. SOLID and upscale. Love the cool and heated seated. Heated rear seats as well. Adjustable rear seats move forward also. So many extras on the tech package. Last of all rear hatch opens by just standing in front of it. It is also keyless push button start and car can be started, doors opened, heat and ac operated by your phone! NICE!!

My 2015 Santa Fe Sport

Excellent car. I just came back from a 2,000 mile trip. The drive was comfortable and the car handled well on the road. Gas mileage was very good! I was not very tired after riding for ten hours. I am enjoying the extended sunroof and all the technology that comes with this car. It handles well at speeds over 70 and holds its own when passing tractor trailers. There is plenty of room for hauling stuff too.

Comfort plus

The vehicle is very comfortable with all the features you could want, from the rear parking sensors, the blind spot sensors and both cooled and heated seats driver and passenger and heated rear seats. The just okay is the fuel economy, I have only seen an average of 22 to 24 mpg.
