Nice Car
I was excited about this car until I found out that in order to use/have remote start you have to pay a subscription. If the service was reliable, it wouldn't be so hard to swallow, however, the service is not reliabe and Hyundai has not been responsive at all to the complaints when contacted regarding the issue. They always claim the issue is due to the user's internet\web connection. It is ridiculus to think this is the cause of the problem. This is far from the truth. How can anyone explain that I use the phone to send the request to remote start the car less than 50 feet away from the car, get an error message, but I'm able to retrieve email and browse the web? I'm obviously connected to a netework so the issue is not with my phono dropping off the network. I'd say the problem is definetly with Hyundai's Blue Link application and their server. The phone I use to remote start the car and receive an error when I send the request to remote start the car, is the same one I use to browse the web or receive emails. This is all while being about 50 ft away from the car. The few occassions the request works, the response is very delay, about a minute or more.
I enjoy driving the car, I would say it is for most part very nicely designed, this issue with Blue Link is a big let down for me. Addiotionally, they make it believe online as if the remote start works from Android watch and it doesn't. One other big design problem is the sunroof. It is loud and it flaps. I recently took the car to be service and inquired about it, they agreed with me that it is poor design and that the material could break with the force of the wind over time.
There is no way I can give this vehicle a better rating than this unless Huyndai responds to the complaints in a satisfactory manner. They at least should waive all Blue Link fees for all customers until they have resolved all their issues with this application. It is a good idea, but it needs to be worked on to be fully developed.
