My 3rd Subaru

The Crosstrek is a nice looking car from the outside. And admittedly it's been a long time since I bought a new car but for over $23,000 it seems very cheaply built. I did get the base model but still everything seems so low budge and cheap. I am a bit disappointed. I ordered my car based on pictures and reviews and didn't go see one before mine came in so was a little shocked when I finally got to see it. Maybe if I had spent another $5000 or $10,000 it would be a lot more finished looking. I think it's just the way most things are now days. Hopefully it holds up as well as the Xterra I had the past 18 1/2 years. My other two Subarus were good cars so I decided to try another one.

Good and bad

Drives very well. Much smaller storage capacity than I anticipated. Absolutely horrible technology! Writing more because this stupid review requires at least 200 letters in the review. Must be the same foljs who designed the car’s technology

Subaru X Trec

All in all this is a good car. I have one concern. The 4 C and sometimes it feels like it’s straining and the engine sounds rough. My last car was a 6 c and I feel the difference. The inside is roomy and comfortable and it’s good on the road cruises well on the highway. My only concern is whether this car will go 100,000 miles. Good mileage and gas savings are the positives for me.

My 2019 Review

Well I finally got to drive my 2019 in a descent storm that came through the Sierra Mountains on Saturday the 12/7/19. We started in a down pour and ended in a down pour and snowing in between ,I am talking aprox 1" of rain per Hour and heavy snow going over the Echo Summit. I have been living in the snow area for about 40 years so I considered myself kind of an expert with snow driving. What I dealt with so far -- First of all the car itself handle excellent on the snow didn't even have to put Crosstrek in XMode. Know for the down falls -- 1.) Headlights kept getting blocked by snow accumulation I had to stop twice during the 80 miles through the snowing drive part and clean them off. 2.) Eyesight stopped working which didn't effect the car driving 3.) The temp gauge was stuck on one temp probably due to the snow build up on the front of vehicle 4.) the Fog lights were not an option due to snow accumulation on the front of the vehicle. 5.) right side of windshield got snow build up due to the wiper wasn't built to clean that far over to the right

A good vehicle with notable disappointments

I bought this vehicle new and traded-in an 11-year-old VW Golf which I loved. I’ve been a VW owner for a long time but, as that company had been going through a lot of internal crises, it seemed time to consider something else. It’s surprising how many intelligent features the Golf had which the Crosstrek does not, for example, automatically locking the doors when you put the car in motion. The list of such things is not short. The Crosstrek lives up to its billing in quality of build, fit, and finish and it has all of the touted safety features. As I’ve said, it’s big shortcoming is in the intelligence of the design of the driver-vehicle interface. Particularly frustrating is the audio/media system.

Great car

Cute little car for the all around traveler. Just enough room for all your stuff and easy to get around. Great styling and great for in town and out in the country. Great in wet weather and snow. Right height for all around driving.

No problems

The Subaru is reasonably priced and well made automobile. No problems. Good in snow and rain. For a smaller vehicle the space is very nice and comfortable. If I had one concern it would be the sound of the engine. Car is a bit noisy. It drives well and has good steering and holds the road well. This car has good pickup and is up to speed quickly. This is my 3rd Subaru and can honestly say Subaru’s will go forever. They have been dependable and great in poor weather. If you want a dependable car that will go forever this is the one. Finally, you can’t beat the price.

Very good vehicle but in one area

This car is solidly constructed with excellent fit and finish. Holds plenty of stuff for its size. In four years of ownership, not one mechanical issue. Runs great, plenty of power. Dashboard interface, though, is just plain weird.

Purchase of 2019 Crosstrek

As old as I am, I hope I do not have to go back to college to learn what all this new, incredible car does [there are a lot of bells and whistles]; the technology alone is AMAZING. I am confident enough in my salesman, Drew Sundstrom to know if I have any questions he is a phone call away. This is my first purchase at Parker Subaru and will not be my last; I will definitely be sending family and friends to Drew. Thanks for making this happen Drew (and all others who assisted).

Perfect for teens/college-aged kids

Really love how spacious and versatile the Crosstrek is. From the outside it looks tiny but the back seats are roomy enough for an adult and the cargo space is big enough for my kid to haul a saddle in.

Hybrid is the way to go.

Love Love Love the Crosstrek. Wasn't looking for a new vehicle. I love my Impreza. But, Gary LaVine was talking about the Crosstrek crossover that we had to look. Gary said here test drive the Crosstrek, you would like it. I fell in Love. Thank you for making our experience like a dream come true.

A quite capable little car!

After driving nothing (literally, nothing!) other than Honda Civics for 30+ years, I wasn't sure just how I'd feel about a different manufacturer's car. Honestly? I have few complaints. Sure, it lacks power and requires more shifting than I'm used to, but I didn't buy it for its performance. The added ground clearance has made driving on the state forest roads way easier, not to mention less worrisome! In short, I love this car! Spacious interior and a cavernous hatch make it particularly useful on long journeys.

Safety and economy without sacrificing cool

Just took it home tonight. Zippy little car. Looks as cool as my Jeep Wrangler that I traded it for. We read the reviews for snow, took it on a test drive. Love at first drive. Killer burnt orange color gives it a great rugged appearance.

Subaru 2019 Crosstrek at 5000 miles

Love it! Car really fits me, like putting on a glove. I've been a professional aircraft pilot for most of my life, and this car is like the cockpit of my favorite planes - everything is where it should be. Car is nimble and responsive, holds the road beautifully.

2019 Crosstreck Limited

I have said in the past I would never own a Subaru, but as I am getting older and seeing all the safety functions they have I thought well, my reflexes are not getting any quicker, this "Eyesight" crash avoidance system could really be a good thing! I bought mine new in February and have over 20K miles on it as I travel a lot for work, have been averaging 31-32 MPG combined, car is very comfortable and drives very nice. I would recommend this car to anyone!-Jack
