For it's age, 2001, Very dependable.

Don't have many mechanical problems and for it's age it still looks pretty good and with regular maintenance I see it lasting for quite a long time. drives well and does not have rust, all the electronics are functioning as new, no complaints.

For it's age, 2001, Very dependable.

Just went on 800 mile trip, thanks to the boys at Chuck & Meredy's and the wonderful engineering of Volkswagen, no problems encountered there and back.

For it's age, 2001, Very dependable.

I've had this vehicle for many years, runs great and looks pretty good for it's age.

VW Passat GLX AWD Wagon

As far as driving, comfortability and performance, it's one of the best cars I have ever owned; however, it has cost me way too much $$ to repair over the years. Due to the VW (Audi) engine setup and configuration, the entire engine must come out each time something below it needs to be repaired. For this reason, I would never again purchase a VW vehicle.
