Prices are too high. Not affordable!!!!!!!
Service sucked because I was told the hose for the air is leaking. It wasn’t leaking before. Why the diagnostic test if I told that the air was running hot. Money hungry at these places. Once was told I needed rotors and I didn’t. Ugh!!!!!

It is unfortunate that your ac is not working. The part that needs to be replaced has has 76000 miles on it and has failed. I looked in our records and i don't see we ever suggested you needed rotors. We offer financing and are more than willing to help you get your vehicle repaired.

Updated review: Tameron reached out and made things right
After writing my initial review, I was surprised to receive a phone call from Adrienne, Tameron's customer service representative. She was very polite, and informed me that what happened to me should not have taken place. I was told that the diagnostic fee is ALWAYS removed if you choose to get your car serviced with Hyundai (not to make up for an incorrect quote) and that the price I was quoted for my battery should have been honored. To fix the problem, I was refunded the difference between what I was originally quoted and what I actually paid. I was pleasantly surprised at this turn of events, and have to say I'm glad Tameron not only reads their customer reviews, but follows up with them as well. Thank you! If I ever have another issue I will reach out to the customer service department first!

Do NOT take your car to get serviced here. Do NOT rely on the courtesy shuttle.
I am a repeat customer at Tameron Hyundai and have always gotten my oil changes and scheduled maintenance here for 2 years. No longer. A low battery somehow caused my car to have some problems shifting and made the check engine light come on. Thinking it was an engine problem, I had my car towed to Tameron. Once my car was at the shop, I was informed that they could not look at it until the next day and a shuttle would arrive in 30 minutes to take me to work. I ended up waiting an hour, and finally took an Uber.

The next morning, I was informed that my car needed a new battery, which would cost $180 dollars. I told them to go ahead, as I thought this was a reasonable price (after looking it up, the same battery can be purchased for $200 at Advance Auto Parts). I was then called back to say that this fixed all the problems and that I could come get my car. When I went to pick up my car my bill was $384, most of this (about $320) was for the battery. Almost double what I was quoted! When I asked for the cost break down I was told that they had removed the $120 diagnostic fee to compensate for the battery price, but if they adjusted the battery price down to what I was quoted they would have to re-instate the diagnostic fee. In other words, there was no way they were letting me leave there without paying close to $400 (when you add sales tax and service time) for a battery change.

Nobody ever called to update me or inform me of the actual battery cost, so when I arrived my bill was a complete surprise. Had I been quoted 350$ for a battery I would have told them not to bother. I would urge you to take your car elsewhere. If you have no choice, make sure to get the estimated cost of services and any quotes in writing first. It's a shame that Tameron feels it's okay to take advantage of their customers in this way instead of owning up to their mistakes.

We will see how it goes. If Tameron follows thru then I would consider recommending , otherwise I would be very hesitant. will give them benefit of doubt.

Unjust cost
Took car in for recalls and for an issue with gear shift. The one recall that was performed pertained to the gear shift. They also charged us $115 plus to evaluate gear shift on top of recall. Evaluation charge should have been included in the recall, since this is the problem we were having in the first place.

It is unfortunate but sometimes recalls will not fix an underlining issue. Your service advisor explains why and goes over entire ticket to make sure the customer has all questions answered. Please contact your service advisor if you do not understand your ticket.

Mechanic work good, pricing bad
The actual work on the car was very good, but the advisor failed to tell me about the $25.00 "hazardous waste disposal fee" for the two $24 washers they replaced...what a crock. This fee is for the miscellaneous items used, e.g., WD-40, lubricant, etc. I thought the price I paid included everything...thank goodness I did not use their bathroom because it might have cost me extra!

It is unfortunate you feel this way. Every ticket generated at a professional and reputable service facility charges miscalaneous, simply because the facility pays a third party to pick up and remove waste the correct way. Walmart, Express Oil, Jiffy Lube etc all charge for it whether you see it on your invoice or not. Every customer pays it that comes to our shop. Every customer pays it at every Hyundai dealership. It is also stated on a 42 in monitor in our service drive for all customers to see. We are very transparent. This is one of two times you have ever been here and paid for anything so i can assure you all customers pay it and honestly we dont have anyone complain about it. We dont charge for restrooms..

You had a recall for your engine and you recieved a brand new engine from Hyundai. The issue with your starter is not covered as stated before. Those guidelines are set forth by Hyundai , we simply obey there protocols. The survey you filled out giving us a low score is a direct reflection of the performance of our staff and is not associated with the decision that Hyundai has set forth. My staff did nothing wrong in your scenario. Please reconsider your last rating, and hopefully you can give us a 5 star rating. There is a consumer affairs number to Hyundai that you can call to voice your frustration about the starter . Often times they will try to help in some way.
