G70 3.3T AWD Sport

Although I only have the car about a month, the quality, performance and looks is why this is my second Genesis vehicle. As an original 2015 Genesis (G80 predecessor) I felt the brand provided a quality vehicle at a very competitive price. The past two years I drove an Alfa Romeo which I enjoyed, but going back to the Genesis brand brings another level of technology & quality. I highly recommend the G70.

excellent car....a little tight seating for a TALL GUY. infront and somewhat impossible in the rear....but it performs admirably!IT DESERVES ALL THE KUDOS IT RECEIVED IN THE ORIGINAL LAUNCH. i PERSONALLY THINK IT WOULD BE A TERRIFIC 2 DOOR CONVERTIBLE....MUCH BETTER ;LOOKING THAN THE MERCEDES C300

6000 Miles in a G70

I have the Elite. The seats get a bit hard on the backside after a few hours. I wish the drive mode would not default to "comfort" at each start, better if it would stay at my last setting. Can't figure out the door locking/unlocking process. It locks fine on drive, but when I shut down sometimes all doors unlock and sometimes only the driver door. I must be missing a setting of some sort. As for style, only thing I would change is the grill, too much chrome, better with a chrome rim and maybe blacked out or body color for the rest.

do not know the meaning

Your representative at the dealership is very important and if a customer brings an issue to you about their negative sales activity the corporate office should be concerned and not say, " We have nothing to do with the Dealership". That is what I was told by your corporate representative, Coy. I was a staunch customer of Genesis as my family, and now I do not think that Genesis supports their consumers. There are other brands. I am certainly giving a second and third thoughts if I would EVER purchase another vehicle from Genesis or Napleton Dealership

enjoy, fun to drive

highly recommend this vehicle,G70, satisfied overall with preformance and dealing with the dealership, I maintain my G70 it gets washed once a week, I live beachside so I wash it because of the salt from the ocean,I only have 4500 hundred miles so it's still very new, I have been stopped many times from people asking what kind of car it is as it has a unique look to it, encouraging people to go and take a road test, Initially when I went to the dealership I hadn't plan on purchasing that day but the salesman was persistent after being there for hours I gave in, paid cash and left that day with my new car, I was a happy customer

Excellent Vehicle but needs Better Preparation at Dealership

We've owned our 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T for a little over a month. We are still very happy with the vehicle. The handling and speed is excellent and everything on the car is finished very well. We would definitely consider purchasing another G70 in the future. The only reason the vehicle missed 5 stars was preparation at the dealership. The dealer did not remove a lot of the plastic sheeting from factory. The vehicle was a 2019 so it probably sat in the lot for an entire year. There should have been sufficient time to prepare the vehicle properly for sale. Its unfortunate but its our only minor complaint about the vehicle. Less than an hour with a razor blade and the problem was mostly fixed.

so far so good (into 1 year of 3-year leasing program)

overall, it's been a good experience but there have been minor issues, e.g., brake vibration while braking, clicking noise from a steering clock spring, awkward up-shifting feedback. Apart from these, the vehicle is fun to drive and extremely well made internally & externally.

Head turner with power !

This car would have had a 5 star review BUT I’ve had a few issues since purchased. Make sure where you buy this car they follow up with good service! First the good, this car has the looks ( I wrapped my mirrors red to match the brakes, wrapped the roof black and put a carbon spoiler on it. Everyone asks what kind of car it is and how great looking it is! I tell them it performs well and has every bell and whistle w out that BMW price ! Wish it had remote start and a button on the trunk to close it, that’s all that’s missing. I have the top of the line awd version and it’s zippy and handles well! I love the sport suspension! My car has 16,000 miles on it. The seats are quilted, I love the hold button ac seats work well as well as the ac. No lag there. Now the sorta not so good. I’ve had the car in for a wind noise in the door jam early on after 4 times they figured it out and fixed it under warranty, a piece of chrome around the window was replaced under warranty and a new set of tires at 9,000 due to a shimmy very slight shimmy in my steering wheel They wanted me to pay part of the tires , that wasn’t Happening sorry so Michelin covered it. Well , that shimmy isn’t gone and it comes and goes at high speeds only 72 and up. I finally was told by a head tech there at a different dealership that it’s been an issue from others as well but he’s claiming you get that with the performance of the car ????? I am tired of taking it in for that. It’s a very slight shimmy some don’t even notice it. My fiancé didn’t but I do. It doesn’t happen all the time. Sooo that’s the bad. Also they had to deglaze my brakes at 9,000 as they were saying due to the cars sitting so long at he docks. Ok ??? Other than that I love this car!!! Small back seat but my dog is the only one back there ?.

Love the car, hate the dealership

I really love this car. I didn't expect that I'd like it so much. I really wanted a luxury sedan. The SUV's are all the rage, but I wanted a luxury sedan which left me with fewer choices. The Genesis had some really great reviews and seemed like it had everything that I wanted. I get a ton of compliments on this car. It's a sweet looking ride. This car is a rocket! When you put it into sport mode, you can feel the car power up, and it almost growls. Even in the comfort mode, it handles and responds quickly. The car offers a very smooth ride. I love the cooled seats, and I will definitely add that to the list of requirements for my next car. The sound system has amazing sound and clarity. Some of the controls for the entertainment/navigation/information menus aren't intuitive and I had to look in the owner's manual to figure out how to use some of the features. There are a ton of features that you have to pay for. It would be nice to unclutter the menu of those features. The major downside to this car is where you have to purchase it-at a Hyundai dealership. I bought the car through Phil Long Hyandai at Chapel Hills. I wrote a google review, if you're interested. It was an unbelievably terrible experience. I keep thinking that my experience with this dealership will get better. The concierge service is a joke. The service department is terrible. The last time I got my oil changed, I had to call 4 times over 4 weeks to schedule an appointment. The buying experience of the Genesis was so terrible that I won't buy another one. It's unfortunate, because I really do love the car. Not only is it an amazing value, it's amazing to drive-I love this car.

Gorgeous but flawed

Absolute stunner. Many features are excellent. Will call out exceptions: 1. Entertainment system's compatibility with Android Auto is buggy (this may partially be Android's fault). The worst was music volume not returning to normal level after being interrupted by navigation directions, and people on phone calls telling me I sound like a robot. 2. Heated seats should be default or available as an option in any trim level of a "luxury" vehicle, but here they only came with an expensive package that I did not need or want. 3. Ended my lease before 1 year because the vehicle is indulgent, expensive, and I don't need it.

Love it but not Quite Happy

Last few months have been aggravating to say the least. This vehicle has been in the shop more than it has been in my parking space. I should be some sort of credit for my lease payments. Hopefully it's fixed this time or Genesis can have it back. I'm over the visits to the dealership.

Affordable Luxury

I think this vehicle is really summed up by calling it "affordable luxury". The drive is smooth and I think this car has a lot of bang for your buck. I think the best color combination is Black on Black as the grill and trim goes well on black all over the vehicle. Interior wise you have to go with the top spec. I think the 3 months no payments and 0% interest on the vehicle was a real game changer for me added with the 36,000 miles free oil changes and valet service really made the value proposition one that I could not pass up. I do not believe this a family car. Although it is not quite a coupe. I feel it is a pinnacle of a sports sedan. I need more room than a coupe but not too much room and I think this vehicle hits the nail on the head in that department. I think the technology is going to be hard to beat and therefore is future proof in my opinion. Sunroof is in my opinion angled just enough to be a sunroof and not a token gesture. Overall I looked at an Avalon TRD, 5 series and a 2020 Sonata. This 2019 G70 was out in front all the way and the additional incentives coupled with the buying experience really made me feel Genesis wants their cars out on the road. My only draw back is as a Genesis customer is I really do not want to mix with the Hyundai customers.

Overall great car. Needs just a few tweaks.

The G70 looks very sporty and handles really, really well, especially in the snow. My only disappointment has been with the way a few things function and with the quality of the leather seat. I am succinct and have nothing further of any value to add.

Great car, horrible depreciation value

2019 Genesis G70 with Sport,Prestige, Elite, Dynamic package. GREAT CAR for value. However, be prepared to keep it for awhile. Horrible depreciation in value....unbelievable....just completely speechless. After 24 months of ownership and all maintenance performed at dealer. Vehicle consistently professional detail to find out car has huge depreciation. We seeking to upgrade to new GV70 when out however with sooo much negative equity not a wise decision.

Other than the braking problem and limited room for the rear passengers I am happy with the vehicle. Initially the low profile tires were a problem as I had hit into several potholes on the road damaging tire and rims. Fortunately I had purchased insurance from the dealer covering this.

Run boggs down, navigation not so great

Navigation runs from phone app. Not reliable that way. Voice command doesnt understand well either. The engine pick up boggs down when I step on the gas pedal. Scared to pull out infront of anything going fast. Thats a bad issue. I told them about it. Said it was fixed but still does same thing.

What a bargain!

The vehicle is absolutely marvelous! Only con about it is the gas mileage. It's not a deal breaker but, every little bit helps. When driving through the mountain roads, you can really feel what the vehicle can do. It holds to the road like the little AFX cars your parents bought you when you were a kid....not to mention the paddle shifting! Wowwww.

2019 Genesis G70 3.3T

Great looking car…and you won’t see many others on the road…which gives the vehicle an exclusive feel. Fun to drive as well…the 3.3T packs a punch. However…Apple connectivity issues/poor transmission performance/average audio speaker system/and pulsating brake pads have injured what could have been a tremendous car.

The downside of owning this vehicle is that the interior space is limited, ESPECIALLY in the back seat. The car takes bumps poorly with low profile tires. The engine performance and shifting are excellent. excellent. Gas mileage average. Styling is sporty and very nice.

This car has a nice design, surprising luxury in the interior and exterior for a Hyundai. I have only driven this vehicle 3250 miles and have own it for two years ; so it was difficult to rate the characteristics of my vehicle. It will be the last car I purchase.
