Genesis of the future.

Great Car with style, power, performance, fun to drive, great future and reliable. Genesis can and will do better!! I recommend this vehicle to anyone, make sure when buying a car to check everything inside and out, do that during daylight hours. Happy holiday!!

Love Car, hate braking system

I love my car but am so disappointed with the braking system. Always have problems! Love the warranty package given. Like the design on the exterior and interior. I have the sport edition so love the pickup and timing on pickup. Had problems with the exterior trim work fading.

Great drive but too many annoying bits

Please see below...Great drive...not having my contacts on board and having to deal with a hyundai network that's spotty at best is very frustrating... back seat way too small...gas tank too small-driving range too short...I can think of so many better ways to use the space currently occupied by drive mode selector

Overpriced and not luxury

I bought my first Genesis this year opting for a G70 2.0T based on the dealership experience. It has not met any expectations what so ever after owning it for two months. The MPG are terrible. The engine performance is just hoo hum. The ride quality is harsh and unforgiving. The noise inside the cabin when driving is terrible. I was considering a BMW and now I believe I should've bought one.

Good performance horrible exterior quality

Performance and handling is great. Exterior quality of this car is horrible, the paint blemishes extremely easy if say a bird poops on it and it’s sitting in the sun, I have marks all over the car I cannot get off. In all likelihood I will not buy this car when the lease is up

Worst Ownership Experience

Do not purchase anything from a Hyundai dealer. They seem to despise Genesis buyers, treat you like a buy here pay here customer, treat you like a dog post sale. Also the lies about loaners and concierge service. It’s a competitive car with other luxury brands sold by the worst dealerships in the world.

Car is good - Customer experience is subpar

The G70 is an attractive and comfortable car, and I would generally recommend it to others. The dealership experiences and the Genesis Customer Concierge services have been subpar. For a car company trying to compete with the Germans, they have a way to go.

Overall the vehicle was not too bad I didn’t enjoy the engine power when I accelerate I noticed as the months went on The power got noticeably worse in the road noise just made it even worse I really hope somebody from Genisus reaches out to me I want to speak on my concerns

I think Hyundai, Kia, Genesis provides great vehicles but....

Car is excellent but I am unhappy with my vehicle because I had to go the dealership too many times for repairing. Service is really bad. Like I want to get a new car now. I've always preferred a compact car like G70 or GV70 and they are perfect for me. Price range, performance, design but I am sick of tired of my car. In 2 years, I had to visit the dealership more than 4 times for repairing. And just yesterday engine warning light came on. I contacted the fucking service team online and chatter just ended the chat I was texting something I was concerned on. And she said service team will contact me as soon as possible but there is no response yet. If they don't call me back, it is fucking 3rd times. At the first time I've been waiting for their call for 2 months. To chatter I told her I hope to schedule an appointment tomorrow because of the engine warning light just appeared. It seems already I can't appoint the fucking service tomorrow again.

Tom’s Genisis G70

My prior car to the Genisis was a 1998 Mercedes 320E. I was blown away by the Genesis & all of its features, comfort and styling. I have not missed my Mercedes one bit! At the same time I bought my Genesis, my wife purchased a new Hyundai Palisade. Clearly we are advocates of the brand!

Poor build quality

Good performance, but poor build quality. Rattles and creaks from sunroof. Incompetent dealer service. Fading chrome trim in under 1 year. Vehicle is not up to the same standards as bmw and mercedes. I would not recommend until the dealer network improves / can actually fix problems. Dealer scratched my car while in service and would not fix.

Worst Manufacturer and Dealer Service Possible

The vehicle itself is beautiful, optioned well and great performance. I enjoyed driving it and wanted so bad to support the brand. However, do not expect to be treated with any respect when dealing with a Hyundai dealer. Sales tactics like buy here pay here, complete lack of service support and the promise of loaners and concierge service was a complete lie. I kept this car for maybe 3 months and around 1500 miles. The stress of trying to get things fixed and working with Genesis Consumer Affairs, who have zero authority to do anything and are ineffective was just too much. I traded in the G70 to preserve my sanity.

Nice looking car. Impressive exterior and interior. Very poor on gas. Smell of gas intermittently and very powerful.. Not a very comfortable car to sit in for a period of time. Low carriage also. Gears slip when changing from park to neutral to drive positions. Front defroster doesn’t work too well.

Horrible Dealers kills this brand

Google Review I posted for my experience with my dealer. (Hyundai of Metairie) Have my experience I traded in the car on a new 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE OR GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE ONE OF THE WORST DEALERS IN LOUISIANA. They only care about selling you the car once its sold to you good luck because the customer service is Horrible. So bad I sold my car because the service and customer service was horrible. McDonalds drive thru has better customer service then Hyundai of Metairie. Honestly one of the worst dealers I have ever experienced. Bought a new 2021 Genesis G70 after a month of owning the car developed a leaking trunk. Car was there for over a month. I would call my service advisor Cara Ledet asking for an update and was always sent to voicemail saying I would get a callback and never did. Only time they called was to say the car was ready for pickup. Once I received it back after being fixed the trunk was still leaking water. The second time they kept the car for a month I would call and ask for updates only to be pushed aside to voicemail saying ill get a call back. I never got a call back. The only time they called me was to say they couldn't find the leak. I was so fed up with this dealership I sold my new car after buying it in May 2021 and sold it November 2021.
