2023 Genesis G70 3.3T AWD

Overall a great effort by Genesis to create a real sports sedan competitor to Audi, BMW and Lexus...not there yet, but close. The seats wear very quickly and the interior is tight with a relatively small trunk. The Lexus GS 350 F-Sport provides a better overall package, size-wise.

Great car and value

Well designed, excellent features, comfortable, sporty, and a great value. I have had Mercedes', BMW's, Lexus' and Infiniti's and this car has exceeded them in terms of what you get for the price. It's a lot of fun to drive and has all the bells and whistles that every other luxury dealer charges a lot more for.

Great experience buying my car at Genesis Hilton Head. My first time buying a Genesis and I am completely blown away . A must drive for any one in the market for a sports sedan.

I will send in a review after driving for a month. My first experience with this Product and after 1 month I am completely satisfied. My salesperson was exceptional and went over the car thoroughly . I would recommend this dealership to all my friends.

Exciting, Fun, Fast and Classy!

It is quick with good, stable handling. Interior is gorgeous. Seats are comfortable. Plenty of comfort and luxury features. As expected, love the G70 3.3t. It is a pleasure to drive! The downside is higher than usual gas mileage consumption and lack of fog lights, strictly for cosmetic appearance.

1st Month Review

I drove approximately 1,500 miles in the first month. I really like driving the G70 - the acceleration, handling, and braking. It integrates nice with Android Auto as I prefer Waze as my nav. Really nice sound system. I've only had one issue so far with a parking sensor and I've got my first dealership appointment set for next week. They will have a loaner car for me so all is good!

Stunning Sports Sedan

Love Genesis vehicle selection and bold styling and exciting driving dynamics! Overall very impressed with my G70! I cross shopped Cadillac CT5V and TLX type S but Genesis G70 won me over! Btw, I influenced my friend to purchase same model of Genesis I have, 2023 G70!

Love the car. The ride the looks the dependability. Leased the car and very glad I did. Because of a hurricane to our area my new Toyota Avalon was destroyed needed a new car owned a couple of Hyundai new that Genesis would be as good for dependability except I felt it was time for a upgrade. Super happy with my decision.

This is a nice vehicle. I knew the service would not be the best, but is it worse than I though. It is a big part of purchasing a vehicle. I have owned several Hyundai's, but never used the dealer service. I have my first new vehicle in a long tome and am disappointed that I can not use the services as advertised. This could prevent me from keeping or replacing this vehicle with a Genesis. I love this car, but service is a huge part.

Genesis vs BMW

Owned a BMW 330i. The Genesis G70 is not the driving machine equivalent to the BMW. However for the money it is a very nice car with very good looks, nice interior and easy to drive. Some work on the suspension would make it a strong competitor. I would give the BMW an overall rating of 10 and the Genesis an overall rating of 8.

Great Luxury Lineup

I love my new Genesis. It’s new and it’s working hard to be established. I had an Acura, had it for a year and traded it in for a Genesis. I had been wanting one for a while and finally made the decision to go get one. I had to wait a couple of weeks but finally got the one I wanted.

Purchased this amazing car for my wife for our anniversary. She absolutely loves this car. What a luxury car! It has power and all the newest technology a car can offer. It is a very well priced and drives smooth. The interior is a black leather with red leather stitching along with red seat belts. We love our Genesis.

GREAT CHOICE

As in many things this car has it’s pros and cons. Nothing at the G70 price point has everything for me. However, it has many things I do want. It was a good choice in my case. Only real down side was the dealer. I have a 23 Sport Prestige which means it is relatively loaded. All the electronics work well and are fast and clear. A high point of the G70 is that the car is easy to use. All the knobs? Buttons and switches are easy to find and very intuitive. Radio is very good but imo could use a bit more subwoofer bang. Otherwise it s powerful and clean. Headlights are clear and bright but I’d love if they turned ahead of the car. Seats are low and very comfortable as expected in a sport sedan. Higher seats are available in the suv versions. The drive is tuned just right for a sport sedan as it eats up corners and rides quietly in a composed and fairly quiet manner. Turn in and road feel are excellent unless you want isolation from the driving experience. If you do I’d look elsewhere. Fit and finish are up at least on par and probably better than the completion especially at the G70 price point. Lots of queries from others as to how do I like my Genesis? Power from the 2.0 is more than adequate for everyday commuter driving. Just don’t have the same expectation of a 300 HP car. It’s great for 250 HP. I drive in ECO and average 25 MPG with just the right power. When I wish to have some fun I simply turn the drive knob to the sport or sport plus mode and away I go. Plenty of power sling with the expected significant decline in gas mileage. Lots of fun though and the G70 does carve up the corners in a flat and controlled manner. Brakes do the job very well but are not super car standard. Again, manage your expectations for the price point. If I only had one car I’d have purchased the 6 cylinder but only for the extra fun factor. The 2.0 is all I need for a great everyday cruiser. The rear seats are small but I knew that before I purchased the car. I made the choice so no complaint there. The trunk is just fine as I was not seeking a SUV. If you can find a good dealer I would not hesitate to buy a G70 but manage your expectations. It’s a great car for the money and a true value. I paid under 40K and definitely received a lot of car.

This car is awesome and I love everything about it. I’m still learning all the features it’s equipped it . At my age I needed all the driving assist features. My salesman Hadi was very professional in explaining all these features to me . I would definitely refer him to my friends and family.

Engine and fuel efficiency

The cons are that the engine idles a lot when the car is stopped and the fuel economy is not good. The rest is satisfactory. The dealer is friendly, but I hope the waiting space or place can be improved more comfortably. The vehicles I had are Toyota, so I can compare them with that one.

Outstanding customer service from Howard Chen he understands and know his product gave great details about the car. I was so impressed with his service to where I traded in my Lexus RX350 2022 for a genesis GV 70. The General Sales Manager and Finance manager they were both absolutely fantastic as well.

I love my G70. The car rides beautiful and it is very comfortable. This is my second G70 and like this one better than the first. I recommend the G70. All of the options are fantastic and really helpful when driving I feel very safe and informed while driving.

Ups and downs

Nice car. Good engine. More sporty than i original thought. Therefore certain things you would normally expect from a luxury vehicle is not there… no heads up display, not such a smooth drive, not an easy to use display while driving and kind of cramped quarters. Otherwise terrific car!

Very Satisfied Customer

Excellent handling, decent performance for 2.0L engine, and beautifully designed interior and exterior. The Genesis G70 feels like a very well-built car. Relatively small gas tank and would like better overall gas mileage considering the size of the G70.

Things that can be improved

The vehicle seats are a little low for me. I know it's a sports design, but can adjust high enough for a person 5'. The trunk can be closed from the inside. The features all are nice. the car is comfortable, get a lot of positive comments. I would purchase another.
