No Owners Manual has been provided

I wanted a car with all of the latest safety tech. for my wife and my research lead me to Genesis. We are not able to use and setup this car without the owners manual that was not in it when we looked for it. We have filed claim 21632428 because of it.

concerned about elec/computer and transmission. beyond such, very happy with car. one day i get in car and no blue tooth/phone. that lasted two days. another occasion all radio presets except for two disappeared. wiper settings and confirmation rarely agree.

Great car, very iffy ownership experience

The car goes, stops, and handles very well, and looks good doing it. It carries a good amount of cargo and is reassuring in bad weather (when the AWD drive works). The car is also a pain in the tail to buy, service, and repair (when the AWD fails or you have a fender bender). The one-and-only Genesis dealer in my area can be hard to work with and third-party shops don't know how to work on Genesis cars and can't get parts. The ownership experience is not what it should be. Speech recognition is somewhere worse than Cortana.

Customer service not what promised

Good vehicle. Service department and customer service not happy. I have had 2 warranty issues with the vehicle it's been over 1 month and issue is not fix. I also had to change dealership at a longer distance to get the issue fix. Dealer ship where I purchase the vehicle is horrible I don't want nothing to do with them.... my vehicle is still at the service department.

Poor fuel mileage

Fuel mileage not as well as advertised, lots of electrical glitches, feels like it wanders on the road, underpowered for the fuel mileage it gets, it looks great, ride well, I get compliments everywhere I Go!! It would be best if they had Genesis dealers closer!

Very beautiful car, with a very problematic engine

I really want to love this car. I love a good story of the underdog becoming the lion. I was looking to buy a 2023 Porsche Cayenne, but after my experience at their dealership I decided to move on. Through a friend I heard about the GV70 V6 and purchased that instead. I felt that it was a wonderful car for my needs. Then at 10,000 miles the differential broke. They changed that and fixed it. The engine has leaked oil for months, the car is still at the dealer for the fifth time trying to figure out/fix the oil leak issue.

Read the survey as I have stated issues many times. The hood design is flawed, it should be flushed with the vehicle. Genesis connect are telling me I have a Bluetooth issue but have yet to fix it hence I cannot use the Infotainment system since May.

The vehicle is placed itself in luxury segment but the service could have been a lot better. Overall drive is good but instrumental cluster info and noise insulation is a little down side. Service schedule and app issue is again another point that should improve

Brand new vehicle not working

Vehicle was picked up with damage/not working features as described that have not been fixed or compensated for and no options have been presented to me. Rating will be higher if issue is properly handled by genesis. Issue is still outstanding, I have spent a ton of my own time on it, and I am very upset with how it has been handled / not handled.

Horrible Purchase and Shattered Glass

I ordered a 2023 Genesis GV70 and received delivery on January 19, 2023. On February 21, 2023 my tailgate glass shattered and police department found no evidence of a break in. When I contacted Stafford Genesis, I was advised that the repair would be my expense. The glass was ordered out of pocket for $444.00 approximately and they could not give me a delivery date for the glass . My insurance deductible is $300.00. and I had to rent a car as well.

POOR GPS Navigation / fix breaks

Poor navigation system does not load fast. When I out side of the city, It does not even load. I have use my phone google GPS. Next - my break system . I am afraid I may hit some one. the break acts slow . . Driver side Viper blades leave some spots not wiping.

Great looking but greatly disappointed

If I had to do over again, I would not have purchased this vehicle. A lot of the cool features that the Genisis USA promo videos show are not for the North American market or due to chip shortage. Basic tech is subpar. A lack luster sound system with no power. A gas guzzler with no real power or sound to back it up. I regret buying it and wish I could return it. I am very unhappy.

My experience so far

I purchased my Genesis GV70 new. Connected services did not work after 2 days of owning. At three weeks into ownership I was on my way to my cousin's funeral and the dash board lit up and told me to pull over to check the brakes. I lost power to the brakes and in 60 mile an hour traffic I had to navigate to a safe place to park with out causing a wreck. The dealership picked the car up and it was in the shop for about 4 days. They did some sort of a reset on the connected services and they were working after that. They said the battery had gotten low and that's what caused the brakes to lose power. Within a couple days after getting my car back connected services has stopped working again. Its a fun car to drive, packed with features and luxury, however I now worry about it's reliability in the future.

I would love to love my car again. With all the problems, it has been a struggle. Taking this survey during a time my car is broken again might not be fair. If I could get timely service and loaners that would help a lot. If we could get the problems fixed that I have been dealing with my rating of the car would definitely be different.

Bad Customer Experience

I have very bad buying experience. Drive Experience is good ., But I have very Bad customer Experience. Honestly Very Disappointed with the Customer Experience. they are sweet Before I thought to buy the vehicle. once I said I will be buying all the sweetness is gone. Why Should I spend time on referring(When Nothing Offered for referral) and writing all these reviews?

Again I am really dissapointed with Genesis customer service

I really like my GV 70(we as a family have had 12 Acura's and never had a problem and a good dealership) however I bought this car because of the promise of good service and warranty . I didn't expect Genesis to close the dealership and now I have to drive 120 miles for service...

Genesis sells a vehicle with features that are too complicated for the dealership and repair personnel. Features that work are good but when they do not work, they do not have the staff to repair.

Genesis limits the dealerships and repair personnel that are authorized to work on their vehicles. Our nearest dealership is 60 miles away and the one that is closest only has two approved technicians. Their ability to fix problems that are identified seems to be very limited. This is not the vehicle to purchase if you live in a rural location.

Beware of faulty battery

Fun to drive when it works. Battery died after two weeks with less than 300 miles. Not dependable and was treated horribly at the dealership. Very poor customer care, service and respect. Bought it at genesis dealership in highland park,il. I would never purchase anything from them. Had to get battery jumped to bring to their service department. Called them more than 5 times during the day to get update on status of my car. Never had one call returned. Was also told I could not have a loaner car after being told I would get one when I purchased the car. Eventually my husband had to go to the dealership later that evening and wreak havoc to get an answer. We are so disgusted with this dealership that we want to return the car and be done . It has been a horrible and most disturbing experience ever

I bought a 2023 Genesis GV70, have had it for a month, one week in my driveway, three weeks in the repair shop

The transmission is having problems, it makes a clunking noise when putting the car from park to drive and/or into reverse , followed by a decrease in power, acceleration is greatly reduced. First trip to the dealership they said they don’t understand the error codes, they say it was fixed, a few days later , the problem came back. Now they say they have had to order a new part. No one at the dealership returns phone calls, I have to go down personally each time to check the status of the repair, not the best customer service.

Horrible dealership experience

The dealership I dealt with provided with an extremely negative experience. They were shady, rude and overcharged me for hidden items that were not disclosed. They also removed papers that guaranteed post sales work promised on the vehicle from the docket handed to me after sales. I spent countless hours trying to sort the issues out w/ them and faced rudeness and horrible treatment. genesis cust support is equally unhelpful. Never ever gonna buy from Genesis or will let any friend or family do so.
