2025 Genesis GV70 Review – Extremely Disappointing Ownership Experienc
I had very high expectations for my 2025 Genesis GV70 based on its styling, luxury features, and reputation. Unfortunately, my ownership experience has been one of the most frustrating I have ever had.
The vehicle has suffered repeated electrical failures, including multiple no-start incidents that left me stranded and required towing to an authorized Genesis dealership. The battery has been replaced more than once, yet the problem continues. The dealership has confirmed there is an unexplained parasitic battery draw that they have been unable to diagnose or repair, even while working with Genesis corporate technical support.
My vehicle has been out of service for an extended period, and despite multiple repair attempts, there has been no permanent resolution. Communication from the dealership has been inconsistent, with several calls going unanswered, leaving me to repeatedly seek updates on my own. Because the vehicle is my primary transportation, this has caused significant inconvenience, additional expenses, and considerable stress.
While the GV70 is an attractive vehicle with an impressive interior and enjoyable driving characteristics when it operates properly, none of those qualities matter if the vehicle cannot be relied upon to start or if the manufacturer cannot identify and repair a fundamental electrical defect.
I expected much better from a luxury brand. Until Genesis demonstrates that it can stand behind its product with timely repairs, clear communication, and lasting solutions, I cannot recommend the 2025 Genesis GV70 based on my experience.
