A few suggestions

Oil leak at delivery, which looks like it may involve major work according to the service department. Also a better dealership inviorment for luxury car owners. There needs to be more trained technicians on the GV80. I'm very disappointing in having my car in the shop for days because of an oil leak. It's at the dealership right now and they have no idea how long it will take before I get my car back.

Genesis 1

Vehicle has been great to drive, and the adaptive cruise control makes highway travel very easy. However, disappointed by a check engine light appearing at 500 miles and having to wait nearly a month to schedule service. Such a long wait for a new vehicle is unacceptable.

We were really enjoying our new GV80 until the engine light keep going on. It has been in the dealership for over 2 weeks. The issue we have has made it difficult to rate the vehicle. If it gets fixed and does not re-0ccur our rating will be higher.

Good styling car with poor dealership

Good car, poor dealership; There are 4 inches scratch repair mark on the driver door handle panel. Dealer rejected to repair it because it is not their responsibility. I purchased a scratched car with $75,000+ payment. Also reliability issue with dealership; I have another Genesis (G70), and the El Paso dealer present poor and undesirable service every time. I did not ask pick up service (I dislike another person's driving) but there is pick and delivery service fee in the receipt. I did not pay this because of Genesis services, but it brings reliability issue with them.

GV80 Review

The car is very nice and comfortable. The gas mileage is a bit on the low side. The steering can be a bit loose at times, it is not the tightest. There is no massage for the front passenger seat, which would be nice to have. It also would be nice to have cooling seats in the back.

My new SUV

Got everything I wanted in a Luxury SUV but 10-20 grand cheaper. And I ain't mad! So far I'm pleased. Will have to see how things work out after a full year of driving and putting the GV8o through the paces. At this time I don't see any problems. Can't wait to go on a long distance road trip!

Quality and sales experience

Disappointed that the front speaker fades in and out and that the left rear door handle is loose. This should not happen on a new vehicle. It costs me time and money to have these issues repaired. Genesis brags about quality. A new vehicle should not have any issues. The sales person was very knowledgeable and professional.

It's a nice vehicle but I am concerned I may keep having issues with the display. My concern stem from the freezing of the screen not advancing beyond the confirm screen and the issues I constantly have with the media not permitting change of channel

Premature review

I’ve only had this car for 3 weeks and feel you are wasting your time and mine on evaluating this vehicle based on less than 400 miles. You should divide this up to evaluate new car purchasing experience, why I purchased and Genesis support system. After 4-6 months have me evaluate ride characteristics and dealer service. I’m very disappointed in the “Genesis” experience and fortunately love the Genesis vehicle as it’s my 3rd.

New GV80

This car is a dream to drive. The attention to detail is amazing. I love the split map screen that shows roads and a picture of the current weather sky pattern. I love the soft close doors. The sound system ( I like classical music) is wonderful. I am not giving 5 stars only because of an ongoing engine light problem that has now occurred 4 times. On 2 times I took the car in, one time it resolved before I could bring it in. The current time I plan on waiting a few days to see if it resolves again because it is a 200 mile round trip for service.

Great Car but Limited Service Options

The car is stylish and performs quite well but we learned after purchase it can only be serviced at Genesis dealers, not Hyundai, in spite of misrepresentations at time of sale. Lots of tech in the car--the lane assist is super on long drives. Check engine light came on at 500 miles and dealer cannot determine the issue.

Amazing car but terrible service from my local

My car is great! The ease of driving and comfort in interior is great. The touch screen is easy to work and self explanatory However, local dealers is terrible -I Am So disappointed in service. I was sold in the ease of service and no one ever mentioned that The concierge service was only if you purchased at your local dealership.

Excellent Car

The seats should be the same for both the driver and passenger. The car should also have a spare tire, which I ordered a year ago and still do not have. I ordered the spare tire from the dealership in Metairie, LA and they have not called me about the tire yet that was paid in full for. No one from the dealership has reached out to me as of yet.

Clarence GV80

Overall I like mostly everything about my GV80 but I do have one issue after purchasing the GV80 a week later I noticed a paint blemish about the size of a silver dollar near the windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle. The paint issue was never resolved!

Good luxury for reasonable price

Exceptional styling and road handling. Luxurious features that stack up against any competitor in same luxury range. Cool media platform and very comfortable to ride in back seat due to leg and head room. One particular feature is a microphone system that allows driver to speak with amplified voice that is heard through all speakers in car so passengers in the back seat have ease of hearing what the driver is saying.

Enjoyable so far

Love the styling and appearance. Dashboard cluster is limited, no digital display of the mph or head up display. The car handles well and generates several second looks. Notices of service maintenance can be bothersome. They appear when service is up to date.

The manly dealership is the best they where there for me all the way. I will be returning back to get my vehicles service there. Ask I said the are the better and helped all the way. I tested drive my g80 and it was wonderful different from my 2015 genesis which ad got stolen.

It’s the little things

The gas mileage is very concerning and the fact that I can’t use the available service of having the vehicle (not in range) is a real disappointment. The card key can’t be activated (per dealership) and a replacement will take 6 to 8 weeks. Luxury cars need a better looking service area and waiting room.

Excellent Vehicle; Safe. Not happy with dealer support.

The vehicle is comfortable, safe, and responsive. Quickly get up to speed, a lot of visibility, fast and fun. Dealership support post-purchase has not been wonderful, seems like Hyundai dealerships are not equipped to support the luxury side, alas. I say that excepting the wonderful experience I had buying from Corona Genesis.
