It’s the little things

The gas mileage is very concerning and the fact that I can’t use the available service of having the vehicle (not in range) is a real disappointment. The card key can’t be activated (per dealership) and a replacement will take 6 to 8 weeks. Luxury cars need a better looking service area and waiting room.

Excellent Vehicle; Safe. Not happy with dealer support.

The vehicle is comfortable, safe, and responsive. Quickly get up to speed, a lot of visibility, fast and fun. Dealership support post-purchase has not been wonderful, seems like Hyundai dealerships are not equipped to support the luxury side, alas. I say that excepting the wonderful experience I had buying from Corona Genesis.

Service

I have been driving Hyundai and Kia car over 30years, there is one thing they did not change is after service. I have to wait at least a couple of days for parts even they have manufacturing capacity in us.. this means they did not have that much care on customer time..

Nice car

Very good vehicle but I was shocked that the tires wore out so quickly on a new car and the sunroof cracked. Also, it rides very low for towing. I tow a small fishing raft during the warm months when I go fishing on rivers. If I had known the towing was so low I probably would not have made the purchase.

great vehicle but poor service

I purchase 2 GV-80s approximately one year ago. I'm very happy with both vehicles but very dissatisfied with service as to what I was sold and what I am receiving. I do not feel the dealership was honest with me on how the car would be serviced what actually happened.

Excellent vehicle and I love the safety of having a full-size spare tire. Our only complaint with this vehicle is locations of dealerships & accurate knowledge of the vehicle itself for service i seems to be an issue with timing and loaner availability. Also the dealers are not using the full synthetic oil on Maintenace as required in the maintenance requirements & they clam that Hydai only allows a blend type oil?

At the time of inquiring about the vehicle we had a difficult time finding a dealer close to Portland , Me.

After owning our first Audi Q7 for9 years we decided to buy the new Genesis Q80 after reading the good reviews in the wall Street Journal as well as the vehicle 6 cylinder comes with a full-size spare tire. We find the vehicle to have a wonderful ride and handles wonderful on the highway with wonderful acceleration. We wish that the MPG were somewhat better but our real only complaint with the vehicle is the heat/cooling controls for even though each passenger has the own fan control however the vehicle only has one fan, so no matter which passenger adjust the fan speed it will change it for the entire vehicle. The sync control in the front is a great idea so the driver can control the back seat area, however each fan control should be capable of its own selection similar to our Audi Q7.in my opinion. The only other issue we have is on maintenance the book calls for a particular type of full synthetic oil however at maintenance time the dealers are only allowed to put in a blend which contradicts the maintenance requirements. The other negative o the vehicle is that its hard to find a dealer in the Portland Maine area and all the dealers are not that familiar with the vehicle and its been difficult to get an appointment and have a loaner car as noted at purchase time of the vehicle and you must be within 50 miles of the nearest dealer.

Overall a good vehicle for commuting Value for money with regards to features The car does not deserve to be sold in a Hyundai dealership The brand deserves to have its own stand-alone dealership You don’t get a Lexus from a Toyota dealership Concierge service is not yet ready to compete with the rest

Great car but still needs to address some issues

I find this portion of your review summary to be redundant. Why have the customer complete the survey and then ask them to do a summary with minimum of 250 characters. All the data is there and all you have to do is collate the information. I hope this completes this review because I am having a difficult time closing it out.

GV 80 Review

overall pleased with vehicle, service at dealership not so much. I feel they misdiagnosed the issue and told me it had " bad gas" which I do not believe. I have had no issues of poor performance for the last several weeks since the problem with the check engine light and control system failure intermittently occurs.

Love my car

I love my new Genesis. Just had a few problems with it but taken care of. Never been able to use concierge service, was told unavailable the two times it’s had to go in for service. This car has a lot of bells and whistles, just wish I knew how to use them.

Safest Vehicle Purchased

Overall this is very well designed vehicle. Safe and beautiful. I get lots of comments, from people at the red light to people seeing it in a parking lot. I love the safety of the vehicle with kids in the back, i have grandkids and this helps so much with leaving kids in the back.

Lacks quality post-sale customer service.

Superbly engineered vehicle. Very disappointed in post-sale customer service. One dealer closest to my home would not return repeated phone calls/voice messages to schedule first oil change. I even called the Sales department and asked them to relay to Service Department. Twenty five miles away a dealer was happy to do the work and they were professional but the work environment and waiting area reminded me of a 1970's gas station mechanics shop.

i really like the GV 80 -- 3rd row seats for children - could have more leg room for 2nd row seats - fast - drives itself - gets a lot of looks from other drivers - not many on the road - dealer service department is lacking in reliability and attitude

I love the vehicle EXCEPT for the Wireless charging station which is a extremely poor design and does not work with my iphone 13 pro. At this car’s price point this should not be the issue to complain about. Otherwise I would have given this car a rating of 10 across the board.

My GV80

I have enjoyed my vehicle, however my ratings are affected by the check engine light and inability to get parts to fix my vehicle. It is not the fault of the dealer and they have been very good at informing me of the situation but the manufacturer has to figure out how to deal with parts issues.

GV80

GV80 is a good looking car with good bang for your buck. The car itself is fine. But if Genesis wants to be a major player in the luxury car segment, it needs to significantly improve the dealership experience. Some of your dealers have no place selling "luxury" cars. It's unfortunate that they spend a billions in deception a great car yet not put enough emphasis on the dealership experience.

Overall great

We’re pleased with our selection of the GV80 suv. If we had to do it again we would buy it. Maybe a different color . Dealerships and the concierge service need’s upgrade to meet with luxury car standards of other brands. I brought a Cadillac Escalade in 2014 and they still treat me with a better level of service than Genesis from the waiting room to washing my suv…this is after 8 years! Service after the sale for a luxury brand is absolutely essential to me!
