The brand I didnt know I needed

I have enjoyed everything about my GV80. It checks all my boxes, and I could not be happier with my first new-car purchase. The cargo room and luxury features check every box for me.

Great vehicle. Not perfect.

I am generally pleased with my new GV80. I picked this SUV over the GV70 to have more room. However, the second row legroom is tight. Also, because of the 3rd row seating there isn't much room under the trunk surface. Also, my 2019 Acura RDX had a helpful function. When I walked away from the car it would automatically lock my doors. I am surprised that this option isn't offered in the GV80. Also, when I approach the GV80 and bring my hand close to the door handle, it takes like 10 seconds for the doors to unlock which is a little slow compared to other cars. Also, I don't like the fact that there is no dedicated place for the front license plate.

First 6 weeks ownership review

Purchase process with dealership needs significant improvement. No introduction of operation of GV80. Took 2 wks to resolve issues. Found contact with dealership difficult after sale. Moved from 2021 GLE to GV80. Cumbersome process to change driver profile from #1 to #2 & visversa. Software needs refinement. Adjustment of seats, mirrors etc do not always follow change in driver, has to be reset often. Voice command doesn't always work. Asks for unknown connection, especially when giving voice command for GPS destinaiton. Need to have area dealership in the Wilmington-Myrtle Beach catchment area.

2026 GV80 Reciew

Build quality is great! I still enjoy getting into the vehicle and watching the screen light up every day. The seamless display is a joy to look at. The screen however does have some drawbacks. The responsiveness could be improved and it will glitch sometimes showing black/blue dots, freeze, or quit on me. All comes back after a restart but it can be frustrating.

It’s nice but not my favorite

The look and size of the GV80 is just what I wanted. The drive is so smooth and comfortable. What I’m not a fan of is the placement and use of the haptic music changer. Give me a button that always work so I don’t have to try multiple times to change stations or songs. There is so much focus on driver safety which is great, but when I have to keep looking to see if it’s doing anything it’s kind of distracting. There are some things that I just can’t get to display, like tire pressure. While the tech is great, it also can be distracting. Simplify things while still having the great display. The other thing, let me push the lock button on the inside door handle when I’m getting out. I don’t want to always have to try to get the outside handle lock to work or get out my phone. It’s so annoying to me - I don’t; want to mess with that when it’s raining or snowing. Just let me lock it from the inside before I shut the door.

Good, but could be great!

Find the car to be an excellent fit for my wife, myself being more of a "Petro Head" or car guy, just think what it could be to even be greater. First of, and most importantly, having their top tier SUV, ride could be made perfect by air suspension you find with competitors... Every bump is just a little bit more noticeable in this vehicle over a much older suv I have with air suspension. 2nd, which is just a personal pet peeve, when you first enter and start car, it asks for which driver is driving. You can set up things like sports mode, lux ride.... For some reason it doesn't remember auto break hold and that silly worthless engine off when you are stopped at a light or traffic. Each time I have to remind vehicle to turn on autohold, and turn off the stop engine feature. I know this is a petty concern, but why couldn't this be added to driver assignment? Last thing I find very odd... Its the only high-end car we own that doesn't offer massage feature for both front seats, only the driver.. (Yes, I know it's silly, but it's pretty hard to find things wrong with this vehicle)

very good car overall

Very similar to the 2023 GV 80 for most part. Do not see ant significant changes in this version that stands out. Still lacks soft close doors which remains an option and that is very disappointing in a luxury vehicle competing with others who provide that as standard at this price.

Expected more, got less

For a luxury vehicle it doesn’t have the driving feel of a luxury car and the technology is cumbersome at best. My wife hates the car and it is her primary vehicle. Every mile or so she gets an alarm that says she needs to pull over and rest. I’ve tried everything thing including taking it in for service. They say I just need to write Genesis and let them know. The self driving system is barely working. The steering is non-responsive and clunky. The car is a lot louder than I would have thought. In addition the technology is non-intuitive. We are at the point of trading in this $87,000 junk and won’t consider another one

Just a fun car to drive

I don’t have anything bad to say once we figured out the “Pay at the Pump”. This thing is pack with comfort features, safety features and technology. Each time I drive I remind my wife how much I love this car. Power, handling and comfort is all there. “Auto hold” at a stop. How’d I live without this? Love it and Edmond Genesis has been great.

Beautiful car but very poorly built

My third genesis and first two had major AC broke down and my third one have sensor problems after 900 miles. ( I even told sales person about it and he totally ignored me at first)
