GV 80- Drives very well- the technology is spotty

Great car- very smooth and powerful. The technology on the inside is spotty. I am very frequently getting error messages that the driver's assistance is not working or that it cannot connect to me Apple Car Play. relatively minor things but things that should not happen in a $95,000 car. Also frequently when AppleCar play is connected i will get kicked out of google maps or it will freeze and not allow me to do anything on the screen. Additionally, my screens have frozen and gone completely black without warning and I have to stop and turn the car off to restart. very irritating.

First car moved from Mercedes

This is my first experience owning this vehicle, and unfortunately, I’ve encountered several technical challenges. One of the most frustrating issues is the door operation. At times, when you approach the vehicle and try to open the door, it won’t open. Instead, it closes again, and you have to wait several seconds before it resets and finally allows you to enter. In an emergency situation, this delay could be very concerning. Another disappointment is the seating comfort. The seats are simply too firm for long-distance driving and become uncomfortable over time. In addition, the vehicle includes so many technological features and controls that it can be overwhelming. There are so many buttons and functions that it’s easy to become confused about which one to use. At times, it feels like you need to take a college course just to learn how to operate everything. Will I continue with this brand in the future? At this moment, I honestly don’t know. While I appreciate innovation and advanced technology, ease of use, comfort, and reliability are equally important, and I hope these concerns will be addressed.

Beautiful vehicle

So far, I love my GV80. I love the style, the color, and the smooth ride. However, I am having an issue with the driver’s seat not going back far enough when exiting and entering despite the fact that I set the Easy Access to Extended. I have to contort myself to get out.

Impressive luxury car

My brand new 2026 GV80 has exceeded my expectations. I thought that it was a great car when I decided to lease it but I am continually appreciating the car more and more. It drives so smoothly. The 27" screen is so useful. The integration between the HUD and Android Auto really helps. I'm proud to drive this car

smart cruise control very much less than smart

GV 80 comes with smart cruise control, but it is not smart and could cause a wreck. There is no option for a manual cruise control. Had I known, I would not have purchased. The dealership either lied to me or was not aware of the limitation. GV 80 has many little "neat little things" that a driver will never ever use, but they do not have the potential of causing a wreck as the smart cruise control has that potential.

Happy so far

Overall, very happy, but a couple of misses: Front counsel - better engineering for cup holders, storing things (change, lip gloss) Headlights - don’t project far enough (Volvo far better), infotainment Love the overall look of exterior and interior.

How many times do we have to say..."Great Car" with no issues...However at our age we will be driving less than 4K miles a year.....

GV80 Comments

Tail gate doesn’t open hands free as easily as on our Buick Enclave. I hit my head on the top of the door frame when getting into the car. Like the car not sure it’s worth the money paid for it.

Excellent Luxury Vehicle

This is a solid, well constructed SUV. The technology is user friendly and very helpful. Safety was an important consideration for us and the technology and the solid construction has exceeded our expectations. In the past we have owned several Lexus cars and our new Genesis GV 80 is a better car.

Great car

I really like the car, the fit and finish are superb. I drove a full size pickup before so the ride is great. The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the complexity of the Infotainment system.
