Own 3 Hybrid Ioniqs

All 3 of my Ioniqs are regular Ioniq hybrids (not plug-in or electric). Review is to compare the 3rd Ioniq purchased and compare it to the traded in vehicle (Prius) since Hyundai designed the Ioniq to target current Prius and/or future Prius owners. 1. First Ioniq traded a Cadillac SRX in for Limited with Ultimate package. No brainer here on mpg improvement. 2nd Ioniq replaced a 12 year old Nissan Versa that's transmission had gone out and estimate to replace was $4,200. Replaced with SEL model. 3rd Ioniq- I traded my brand new 2017 Prius Touring 4 with only 6,800 miles on it for another Limited with Ultimate package. This review is for that one since it is the one I drive. I did give up many features on the Prius compared to the Ioniq. But, I gained a little more comfortable seating (6'4"), a more stable ride (2" wider than Prius) and my sunroof (Prius Touring 4 does not have option for sunroof because of curvature of roof and no one in secondary market would touch it).

Great New Hybrid

Bought this car for the Hybrid technology. Needed better mpg for ride share driving of over 1,500 miles per week. This is roomier, cheaper and better looking than the Prius I used to own. Plus, it has more technology and a MUCH better interior. Very little downside so far!

Great car, hybrid or not

I've put over 30,000 miles on my Ioniq Blue and it has been a very fuel efficient, reliable, spacious and fun car to drive. On average in Central Texas I get from 48 to 52 real world MPG. If I drive with a lite foot I can achieve anywhere from 56 to 75 MPG. Sport mode really make the car quick and very fun to mash the gas pedal. Interior has no wear and the tires are still at 75% tread. Great car hands down. This is my 7th Hyundai and my 12th car in 10 years. I highly recommend it to anyone, even if you're not considering a hybrid. It's that good.

2017 Hyundai Ionic SEL Blue Bluedrive Hybrid

Not at all hard to achieve 60 MPG plus. Interior lighting positioned good and exterior lighting works well, rear backup and blind spot audible notifications perfect, sound system with HD radio, SXM, Apps, Bluetooth, Apple and Android smartphone apps are excellent pairing, ECO is fine and Sportmode is great when needed to accelerate quickly onto highwat from ramps, excellent lifetime battery warranty

Probably the best vehicle on a market

We're very satisfied with my wife with this car, as it's very up to date with technologies and comfort. It has very good suspension and drives awesome. It has unexpected features, such as it lowers volume when you shift to reverse etc. I'd recommend it to everyone I know,especially with avg mpg of 48))

Very economic and fun to drive

I've had the Ioniq Hybrid for about 6 months now and it's been great, the internal comfort and space is better than expected, even though it is a compact car, the fuel economy was even better, I've averaged 55mpg with mostly inner city trips.The infotainment system also works well, integrating seamlessly with Android and Apple phones along with great sound quality.

Love This Car

We absolutely love this car. The mileage is incredible, the ride is as smooth if not smoother than our Hyundai Sonata. The tech package was a good choice and we are glad our sales person, Larry Goldberg, suggested it. Long drives are more comfortable knowing these features are in place and there to insure our safety. I was astounded at how peppy the car is and have not found it wanting in any of the driving conditions I have experienced to date. We are about to embark on a cross country trip in the next week and we are looking forward to our drive in our new Ioniq. We're also looking forward to a smaller fuel expense as well.

A pleasent change from my SUV

This is a great car! The gas mileage is spectacular. It doesn't feel like you're driving a hybrid, especially when the car is in sport mode. The apple carplay is such a great bonus and the safety features such as lane assist are awesome. Have only had a few people in the back seat so far, and the consensus is that a little extra leg room in the back and a wider seat would be nice. Trunk space is perfect. Overall, I love this car. It was a huge change from my SUV but I love the way the car drives and looks. Very satisfied.

I realy LIKE my Ioniq.

Very nice little car, have had no problems with it. Runs and rides great.The a/c works great. Very mice interior lighting. Seats are very comfortabe front seats. Lot of storage space. Really like the sound system.

Amazing car!!!

Probably the best decision ever to purchase a Hyundai hybrid !! The car looks good all black but i didn’t realize black paint shoes scratches and dirt really easy, i used Costco auto programs to go to the right dealership, highly recommended going through Costco to purchase a car!!

Beats the Prius hands down

My new Hyundai Ioniq has performed flawlessly since purchase. I am averaging 57MPG around the city and have topped over 60mpg on the hwy. The mid level SEL trim with the optional Tech package brings a nice suite of added safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and blind spot detection mirrors and smart cruise control. The interior is very quiet and the ride is compliant with comfortable heated seats, dual zone temperature control, and power driver seat. The 7 inch and driver friendly audio suite has android auto and apple car play with Bluetooth and voice command on the steering column. The warranty is class leading for worry-free driving as well as 5-year roadside assistance and a lifetime warranty on the hybrid battery. This car which was designed to compete with the Prius, beats the prius in every way and I encourage anyone considering purchasing a new Prius to compare and drive both because the choice is clear and lastly the Ioniq is priced well below the Toyota.

Love it so far!

I am especially impressed that it is coming close to the predicted mpg. The ride is smooth, and my passengers love the quiet ride. Gas mileage is critical because I use the car for ride-share. I am very satisfied.

Exceeds all my expectations

This car is well built, stylish and efficient. I have driven the Prius before and this is much better. This car is not cheaply built, it is of high quality and I can tell that Hyundai engineers went through a lot of trouble making sure every button, and switch is in the right spot. This car was built with the end user in mind. I love it and I love Hyundai quality.

I traded my 2015 Toyota Prius for the Hyundai Ioniq. I love this car. More importantly, my wife loves this car. It's stylish, quick, and fuel efficient. The car's technological features are intuitive, and I average 50-55 mph.

Awesome car

The way the car feels when you drive either long range road trip or stuck in work commute traffic is seamless and the gas efficiency is incredible. Pairing the phone with the car is no effort easy and I don’t know how I drove without it being an ionic
