Not the value of a Prius, but cost as much

Bought this car when my truck needed a part that I was told was 2-3 months out on back order. Dealer would not budge from MSP. Part came in the same day of purchase, but dealer would not take it back. Hope to sell this summer to recover some of my investment.

This is the second Ionic Hybrid I have owned. I love the hatchback, lots of room to haul things. I love getting 55+ mpg. The gas savings offsets the payment! The price point makes it an affordable hybrid. I don’t know why more people don’t own the Hyundai Ionic Hybrid.

Not satisfied

I am not satisfied with this vehicle because from last 5-6 month i am hearing rotating noise from engine which different noise from the regular engine noise and also from last 1 month i hearing from suspension noise and also sometimes car vibrate when its auto shift the gear from 1 to 2

Great car but missing what i wanted most

I love everything about my car except the fact that the blind spot monitoring stopped working after 1 year and Hyundai can't fix the problem. I have 2 teenage daughters and blind spot monitor was one of the main features I was interested in for their safety.

When we purchased the vehicle, everything was great. It was winter in Minnesota when we bought it. Originally we had no issues other than bluelink was not working. We brought it back in to have that looked at they could not figure out why the remote start was not working. Also had issues with the rear door windows not defrosting all the way and the rear hatch window also not defrosting I could not figure out what was going on this as well. The dealership did buy it back and we traded it in and got a 2023 ELANTRA instead

Good car but not good after purchase customer service

The car itself is comparable to Toyota, however the quality of free maintenance service provided by the Hyundai dealership specifically "Tustin Hyundai" has been very disappointing compared to Toyota dealerships based on my experience! There is also a lack of customer service from Hyundai HQs office, so basically after the purchase you are on your own!

Gas Saver

This vehicle drastically changed our fuel bill each month. It’s easy to drive and has good control. The warranty is great making each appointment economical and easy. Consumer service is extra helpful, even calling to schedule inspections and maintenance when due.

Fuel Mileage without a Compromise

I love my Ioniq HEV. It gets a great mileage (above 60 around town). Its handling is very predictive and controlled in any weather condition. It is also very comfortable to ride, all day (no ride fatigue). I hope nothing ever happens to my Ioniq HEV, as Hyundai is no longer making it.

Very good fuel economy. A very quiet and smooth ride. Well built. It should come with more extras. Disappointed that it did not come with better rims. The price and a.p.r. of the car were very good. A little difficulty getting in and out of the car.

The Hyundai Ioniq is an awesome hybrid. I get great gas mileage without dealing with plugging it in. We have saved a lot of money on these terrible gas prices! The mileage is accurately advertised! 50-60 miles to the gallon!

Tech sucks

The Bluelink start does not work. They dont seem to care. The screen glitches. The bluetooth does not stay connected. The dealership cant do anything about it and do not seem to care. The car is idling pretty loud to have only 25,000 highway miles on it.

Good overall vehicle. Great mileage!

Amazing gas mileage and great overall vehicle. The seats can be a bit uncomfortable after about an hour, however even then it is not terrible. Heated seats a great and the infotainment center is big and easy to navigate overall. I would recommend this vehicle especially if you want to save on fuel. Cheaper than other leading hybrids and has a higher average mpg as well. I also preferred the interior on this vehicle over others as well.

A few things to fix

I really enjoyed this vehicle except for a few things that have recently arisen from the defective front windshield to the lunging during acceleration and the passenger seat not functioning properly. If these things could be fixed then I would be happier.

Great value

This is my first car purchase and I am not disappointed with it. The car looks good and is great to drive. It is very practical. It gets amazing gas milage, around 45-55 in thr winter and 55-65 in the summer.

I love the car then the issues started. The sensor for the emergency brake started popping up and then reddit said it's a known probably. Dropped it off for 2 weeks at dealer not fixed, then another day not fixed. Then finally after dropping it off it's fixed and hasn't popped up , but now my car seems to rattle randomly while driving. I lose money every time I drop off my car.

A very efficient and reliable car

I have 2 Ioniq cars . 2020 and 2022 both cars exhibit a very high efficient performance. Driving a hybrid car requires some driving styles modifications if you really want to see the savings: Adding 10 more mins average to your drive, having a slow acceleration after stoping, removing the foot from the gas once u know that either u are going to stop or slow down. Sometimes I get over 70MPG just by modifying the way I drive. always remove the power downhill and that way the battery get charge for free or minimize the use of A/C if the temp is fine. No engines, transmission, or battery issues so far!
