Love my Ioniq

Commute daily over 3hrs and did not have a commuter friendly car. Began looking into Hybrids and found the best value for my dollar was the Ioniq. I went from filling up my gas tank 3 times a week done to 1 time a week...I have saved tons of $$$$ over and over. I absolutely love my car and have named her Xena the Warrior.

Extremely satisfied!

I love my Ioniq. I do mostly city driving, lots of stop and go, and the mileage is excellent! It has a very smooth ride and is so quiet. It is my first experience with a keyless start and took a little getting used to it. I love the backup camera and guide.Learning how to use the temperature controls most efficiently was the greatest challenge. I get many compliments on it's sleek style.

Better than Prius

I own a Prius & an Ioniq. The ioniq drives much like Sonata or Camry, not getting blown around nearly as much as a Prius. . It gets about double the MPG of a Camry or Sonata! It’s also quieter than the Prius. In most other ways, they’re comparable.

Hyndai Ioniq Hybrid

I absolutely love this car. It has a gorgeous design and great economy at 50 to 65 miles per gallon on average. It's comfortable and stylish inside. I love the hatchback which gives me as much room as a station wagon but still the sleek look of a sports car. I would choose this anyday over a Toyota Prius or most other cars. Great value for the money. Handles very well.

Best Car I Ever Owned!

Though the generous Hyundai warranty is pretty well-known, it seems like this gem of a car is not. Though I am WOWED by its great gas mileage (I'm averaging 58 MPG in the summer and 48 MPG in the winter), silence at stop lights, excellent sound system, regenerative coasting & braking, low coefficient of drag, eco-friendly interior materials, peppy acceleration and good handling, others seem most impressed with it's styling. Instead of my expected questions from strangers of "What's your gas mileage?", I often get "Nice looking car!".

Really like my wife's 2017 Ioniq, a lot!

Am thoroughly impressed with the 2017 Ioniq gas mileage, handling and performance. Nice to look at too! Funny that it took almost 12 months before I ran into another Ioniq owner in a Lowe's parking lot. We both raved about how great this car is to each other and are mystified why we haven't seen more on the road yet.

Loving my Ioniq.

I've had the Ionig for a year and love it. Excellent gas mileage. I get 646 miles to a tank of gas. It's a smooth ride and comfortable on long distance trips. I'd buy it again. Make an SUV with excellent gas mileage and I will make that my second car.

Limited Version+Ultimate Package: Great Vehicle with Amazing Safety Functions and MPG

The vehicle is amazing from design perspective. I love it both outside view and internal. Interior material mostly very soft and feels good quality. Seats are comfortable (leather) and looks nice. The console screen is large enough to navigate in Apple Car play. There are sometimes some lag or Siri does not function after several seconds of phone plug in but it is related to Apple Car play related issue not vehicle. Other functions like A/C control, Fan levels etc are very easy to push without distracting the driver and the view is very "clean". I used it for 14k miles+ (80% in city) and my average MPG is 47 during spring, summer and 43 during winter. (Living in South San Francisco Bay Area) not even close to spec numbers. DO not know why there is such big difference between spec sheet numbers and actual numbers. I asked Hyundai Service and they could not explain. The Smart Cruise function is very useful; it even stops the car based on the vehicle in front. But sometimes, even at straight roads, it gets confuse when there is a big truck on the other lane, and it starts to brake which is a bit problematic and shows some improvement needed but it happens rarely. The acceleration might be slow response sometimes when needed but it can be switched to sports mode before expecting a sudden acceleration (highway entrance etc.) Sometimes when switched from EV to ICE(combustion engine) mode, you can feel the jerking effect which is generally minimal but sometimes annoying. But most hybrids has similar effect. The trunk is very large for an hatchpack design. You can fit 2x large 2x small luggage easily. I had some intermittent issues with car; like the half of my digital cluster white out or black out rarely (the service could not duplicated); The bending lights has an angle issue that causing blind notch in the light beam that is annoying but does not effect much the driving safety or experience. (service could not duplicated as I did not let they drive over night). Other than those, I did not have any reliability issue so far. (Other than some campaigns that Hyundai claimed to bring vehicle for some safety check - but my car was not one of them; and I am OK that Hyundai noticed those and call vehicle for verification) Obviously, very high MPG as it is hybrid that save the gas and the planet. Overall, very enjoyable car to drive!

So pleased with my Ioniq!

I brought my 2007 Hyundai Sonata in for service last year and, while I was waiting, I saw the Ioniq on the showroom floor. I was planning to get a hybrid in the next couple of years but ended up buying the Ioniq that afternoon. I've been very pleased with the power, handling and gas mileage of the car. The interior room and trunk space are ample, easily seats four adults, with luggage on a trip. So glad I bought this car. Did I mention I'm getting over 55 mpg on average, even on the freeway at 75 mph from Seattle to Montana?

Y. Grant 2017 IONIQ Limited

This is our 2nd Hybrid purchase, we got rid of two SUV's due to gas. We looked at the Toyota Prius C and base model; we tested the Kia Nero, Kia Optima Hybrid, we were waiting for Camry Hybrid, but none were available. The car is small but efficient and tailored for daily use. The hatchback has good room and I bought the trunk privacy screen for parking in public areas, this should be part of the limited package... The gas mileage is great, at 50 to 55 mpg, relative to driving habits, ECO driving is best under 60 MPH and we are using the 87 Octane gasoline. From stop to 20 mph, there is a lag, before the CVT picks up normally from 15 to 20 mph, so we use slow starts until 10 to 15 mph then we proceed with normal driving. The car is fast after 40 mph, it really moves, a large SUV was on my tail and I opened up the gas, and it responded. The SUV tried to catch up, but this car was gone...that was impressive... The SUV caught up a few miles later and looked at the IONIQ for a few seconds, nodded and went on their way. The sunroof is great, the carpet is padded and comfortable, the backseat is okay for adults, but better for children and their toys. The cup holders make sense in the front seats, but need revision for the rear seats. If you have kids you need more pockets, deeper cup holders to keep them busy and clean. The driver assist for car proximity is standard, driving daytime lights, LCD displays with touch screen is good. The 20 memory slots for the entertainment system is really nice, and synchronized with the IPhone voice, maps and texts. Al can be controlled from the steering wheel without looking, great for safety, and it has voice commands via Bluetooth and normal Voice recognition. The tires need to be rotated and kept at the right pressure, the car is sensitive for low pressure and will warn until the issue is resolved. We had our doubts, since PRIUS was the best selling car and longest hybrid history, but the IONIQ is a very good car for entering the Hybrid market. We are very happy with it. The sound from the hatchback needs dampening, the road noise is loud, even with the radio, so ask for sound resistant weather stripping on the next model IONIQ. The model looks like the Elantra and is an easy car to maneuver. The seating is for four, five only for short trips.. I bought a spare tire, jack and lug nut wrench, which was over $150 dollars, but not having a spare is crazy. AAA and Hyundai services can tow you to the dealership, but that is not worth the wait and after stores close, who wants that hassle. The tire gel supplied for flats is okay for a nail puncture, but a side cut in the tire and you will be stranded, until the tow truck comes for you; thus invest in a spare tire. The car has a battery jump start built into it next to the hatch open button, that is brilliance. The last thing to mention is regarding car washes, in my opinion, do not use the car wash, try to hand wash your vehicle to keep the paint in good standing, use wax for protection against the elements and what ever touches your car. Take the time to learn how to clean your car, or hire someone to hand wash and wax it. Scratches and swirl marks do not come out after the car washes' brushes ruin your car's paint. I would recommend the Hyundai IONIQ to anyone looking for a Hybrid vehicle.

Hyundai ioniq

I was hesitant in buying this car simply because I didn't know much about what a hybrid does. After I sat in it it was very comfortable. I like how the instrument panel is set up. Easily readable and buttons were easy to find. I also like how you are able to check the tire pressure, miles to empty and all the other features. The back seat sits comfortable. The only thing I wish it had was a cargo cover in the back. I made one to cover that area, but it would be nice if it came with one. Other than that, I've taken two trips to Florida and it got great gas mileage and road comfortably.

Fantastic car in every important way

Ride quality, convenience features like Apple Car Play and satellite radio, and MPG performance are outstanding for a responsibly priced car. Getting honest 59-60 MPG all day long! Two Ioniqs are in my family now!

Ioniq

The car functions as advertised. After 4 months we are still averaging 57 mpg. Really no issues with the car. It’s a lot lighter then our outback so the brakes are sometimes tricky. I wish the outback had some of the features of the Ioniq, like driver only AC.

My 2017 Ionic

I can’t praise my Ionic enough. I bought it in July, 2017, and have already put over 18K miles on it. It provides me with reliable service and FANTASTIC gas mileage. Anywhere from 53 to 57 miles per gallon. And I’m not a light-footed driver. Also, it’s got plenty of power when called upon. I’ve had two people come up to me while filling the car, asking how I’m liking it and I’ve told both that I can’t praise it enough. I’ll just be glad when they introduce more colors to the lineup!

Save money with satisfaction

This is my first experience of hybrid car. I used to pay $200 gas money a month. Now I pay only $50 a month. Even though I pay more monthly payment ($50 more) I actually save $100 a month! This is a great saving plan for everybody. It also has a great design and many functions that I love. Especially the screen for my backward drive gives me comfort that I am safer. I love this car!
