Great mileage

This is a light car with more room than you think. Gets great gas mileage and is quite peppy. Handles well in adverse weather. Only drawback is loud cabin noises. Hard to hear hands free when traveling at high speed. It sounds like a window is down

Quality, big gas savings, excellent electric motor.

My car is a 2019 Plug-in Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid The electric motor gives me more miles than stated by Hyundai My gas saving is impressive. More than 100 miles with full tank and full charge. Until now, I had no problems with this car it all. Very, reliable car ?!…

A Worthwhile, Affordable Car

Good for what it's worth in urban & suburban areas. Avoid rough terrain. Be sure to find a car loan that offers a low-interest rate (i.e. no more than 3.75%) or just buy the car up front if you saved enough.

Great mileage, cool looking car

This is a nice sized hybrid. Gets great mileage and has a really classy look. The warranty can't be beat. That is the decision maker and why I will continue to buy hyundai products. The service is great too, with free oil changes and inspection for life, lifetime engine warranty, and my particular year, I got a lifetime hybrid battery warranty

Some quality issues, otherwise perfect

The car is very nice and perfectly suites my needs, commute to train station and run errands on weekends. The handling and suspensions are very good for the price. The camshaft position sensor at exhaust side failed in less than 2000 mostly ev miles. For two weeks the dealer was too busy to have a look, and I paid out of my own pocket to fix the issue elsewhere.

Great car mileage and cargo space

Recommend highly for gas mileage, look and cargo space. Happy I don’t have to charge like a Tesla. Seemed for economical car it offered the most for money and wasn’t ugly, plus dealership was close by

Ioniq

Needs a spare tire and the wheels needs to be upgraded. Current wheels are ugly and make the car look cheap! This is the worse part of the hyundai, I don't need to write a book. I guess I just keep writing to satisfy your 200 word minimum.Great, I finally got to 200 words.

Good Commuter

Vehicle is decent enough to commute in daily. Gets the job done. Seats could be slightly more comfortable for long drives. Overall a decent vehicle with great gas mileage. Weekly Avg 52+ mostly interstate.

Overall Satisfied but....

No issues with performance, price etc but had bad experience with the dealer - 1) Got my vehicle shipped from Route 46 from NJ to GA but they only sent one key. Called them requesting for the other two keys. They said they will ship but never did and then I found that they went out of business and permanently closed. Would be great if Hyundai can send the other two keys. 2) They didn't pay the full tax amount to GA state even though it was an all inclusive lease fee. So I ended up paying for the additional tax of about $1400 from my pocket. I complained to Hyundai lease company and general helpline but of no use. I was planning to settle this when I return my vehicle.

Doesn't feel sturdy

Doesn't feel sturdy. Battery does Not seem to be working properly. Fuel economy lower-than-expected. Financing experience less than expected. Customer service less than expected. Would probably not recommend

Problems right from the start

I love my brand new car. It gives me great miles and it’s great looking in my eyes. However I have had 2 major problems in the 2 months I’ve own the car. First, 2 days after getting my car the engine light and turn off engine sign came out while I was going 70mph in the highway. Super scary. Had to tow the car. It turn up it was nothing a “glitch “. The 2 time was early of 2 months after purchasing the vehicle. Couldn’t open the doors because the electric key wouldn’t work. Long story short the battery was dead. Had to tow it again because I didn’t know how to open door (no one explained???). So.... crossing my fingers nothing else happens because I’m not very confident about this car. Hope it turns out well.

Electric Battery Too Small To Be of Use

When the dealer said that the electric battery would go 29 miles, I assumed they meant if you used ONLY the battery it would go 29 miles. But they meant in the combined Hybrid and Electric Vehicle (HEV) mode! What good is that? The battery takes 2.5 hours to charge at a pay station or 11 hours at home - and a full charge buys you 29 miles!! NO THANKS! Around town it's okay, but I bought this car to take a trip around the country - so the battery does me no good at all. Aside from that, the car seems okay. The bumpers are 1/4" plastic and will break off if used. There's no spare tire, just a "repair kit".

Ioniq

I'm enjoying my case except the same route has had a slow leak since I've gotten it and I'm tired of adding air! Got it for gas mileage as I travel quite a bit and I'm truly satisfied in that department!

Making it

Was excited about vehicle until I rode in 2020 Toyota Prius - roomier, quieter more comfortable seating for passengers. No difference in price or gas economy- consumer regret after purchase. Also financial offering was not really much incentive.

Trunk

Please explain why the trunk release on the key fab does not work?? There has to be a better way to release the trunk. Why did Hyundai feature a trunk release button only to disappoint it’s customers? Is this a features to come in the future? Please reply.... Thank you

Ioniq Hit and Miss

Drives surprisingly well for a Hybrid. Quick acceleration, but after my first 20k miles, the engine seemed a bit loud. Seats are still uncomfortable. Hyundai had a recall on Hybrid filter, so I brought my car in at about 21k miles to have filter replaced. Shortly after, I heard a slight noise when deceleration at about 30mph. Turns out the transmission needed replacing. This is my 5th Hyundai in 7 years, and my 1st Hyundai Hybrid. Never had any issues with my other Hyundai’s and will most likely buy Hyundai again.

2019 Hyundai Ioniq

I like the car in general. I consistently get 72 to 74 miles per gallon, just driving on country roads (no highway driving). The only complaint I have is with the transmission/ engine electronics, It stumbles or bucks when driving on a level road on engine power at 40 to 45 miles per hour, as if the computer can't decide whether to go to battery power or not or to change gears( not sure which). I told the dealer about it at my last oil change, hoping there was something like a software update to correct the problem. They told me there were no current updates. The car has 9000 miles, so I'll just have to keep asking the dealer about it because it is annoying,

Ok vehicle for price to lease, not buy

Leased for wife because of super low lease payment ($99.00 a month) but I would not of bought it because of the high sticker price if I was going to purchase it. Way better value in EV vehicles in marketplace

Can be better

Ki, I bought this car back to November 2019, attracted by price, stile and fuel consumption. 1. When I signed all paperwork and checked the car, I discovered problem with rear left door it was slightly bent and driver door was broken in the place on handle plastic cover lock in case to open goor by metal key. I didn’t take the car and to fix it. On the dealership I was told leave the car and take another one by time when they got a parts. It took one month. Okey after that time finally I got my car but first impressions was spoiled... 2. In two weeks, I got a noise in the trunk in bumpy road, asked dealership, nothing changed after fixing. 3. In Summer time I changed oil on dealership, they forgot to tighten oil changed bolt button of the car. I have got a oil licking just on my driveway. They pick up my car and fixed, I been driving for three days with low oil level. 4. The worst thing after almost an year of driving my car, 15k on odometer, MPG fallen from 55mpg to 45mpg. I didn’t change anything, same car, same driver, same fuel, same conditions...... I don’t have any explanation... Think twice before to buy this car, 8 years ago, I owned Prius, sold it after 3 years and 35k odometer. Never had a issues like this. Definitely Hyundai and Toyota is not the same car.

Stylish and great safety features & smooth ride, but weaknesses in the headlights, the bumpers, the Siri voice command system, the check engine light frequency & vehicle deceleration or stalling, lack of a CD player, lack of a spare tire, etc.
