Love my Ioniq

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Hyundai Ioniq. The reason I bought it is because I drive my son two hours to soccer practice a couple times a week. I love being able to fill up my tank for less than 30 dollars and get almost 600 miles of range. I hate that Hyundai has discontinued this model

A drivers car

For those of you who really like reasonable performance you should look at this car. I had a prius 3 for 11 years and decided to try the ionic. I drive the ioniq not just sit in the seat. I could teach a class on this car. Most folks just get in and ride but i actually take part in what it offers. I have said it a million times i want a car to pay me back. I see it as an electric car and a sports car. It is no corvette by any means but if you actually drive it it has a boat load of interesting devices to make it fun. If i drive it like a corvette i will still get 32 mpg plus. if i drive it for fuel mileage you will be shocked to see 59.5 mpg often . Once you have taught yourself hot to operate it You will find it very interesting. The limited has 225 tires not 195 and that put it in a different league. Using the paddle shifter can be a trip . you can in economy mode use paddle shifter to activate the regen mode to 1,2or three. i hardle ever use brakes to slow me down. When you move to the selector to the left you activate sport mode and it works well . It shifts you down one gear and if you push hard on foot pedal it will drop down one more gear. This really improves reaction time when passing. The ioniq offers much more in the way of controling performance than the prius did. Both great cars. I pull a small utility trailer and get 41 mpg. Drive one and it will take you a day to figure out all the features. This operating system for sure adds a lot of ability to control the car like a sports car.

Excellent fuel milage!

We love our Hyundai Ioniq limited Hybrid. Our biggest disappointment is that the car has been discontinued! The Ioniq name is now for electric vehicles only. If you want the highest fuel efficient Hyundai hybrid you have to go with the Elantra now. Even so, if you go with a limited Elantra, it still doesn't achieve as high of fuel mileage as the limited Ioniq. Also, the new Elantra's and Sonata's front ends have to be the ugliest design that I have ever seen! I mean all they consist of is a big ugly oval of cheap looking ugly black plastic! I have owned many Hyundai's in the past and they just looked way better than the current ones unless you go clear back to maybe the year 2000 or so.

Minor things to make improvements

If fuel average between warmer and cold temperatures could be cut to 15 miles a gallon difference would be great and make quieter on road and wind noise would make this vehicle a great one to have. The warranty is a good one and I was told sense I'm first owner of my Hybrid that the battery is under warranty as long as I own it

Great Value and Great Gas Mileage

I’m so satisfied with my leasing of my Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid because it’s fun to drive and gets great gas mileage and I’m seriously considering buying my Ioniq when the lease is up and I also had my wife trade in her Honda HRV lease early to get her into a Hyundai Tucson lease and she loves her Tucson as well.

Great value for money

This car has incredible fuel mileage in the city, and also allows longer-distance travel in areas without charging infrastructure. Great accessories and other safety features at a super-affordable pricepoint.

Unequalled fuel economy. Reliable performance

Better than a Prius, with higher fuel mileage, better looks, superior transmission feel, and better acceleration. The purchase price is somewhat less, as well. 60 mpg is achievable, if you drive gently. 55 mpg is easy to achieve. Pre-paid maintenance for first 3 years does not include software updates, and oil changes require 2-3 hour wait.

Retired lady

Love the Hyundai Ionic plug-in hybrid, I saved so much in gas, I only filled car up once a month. I leased and stayed below my 36,000 miles in 3 years. I loved car so much had my sister test drive my car and she bought one. It's a better value for her as she has color panels and charging doesn't cost her anything
