Car built wrong

Car will forever have the same problem stemming from the recall. Oil leaks on the alternator which makes it good bad every year or so. I had to replace mine several times already . All Veracruz’s are defective . Do not buy !!!!!

Sporty, family friendly.

This vehicle is comfortable, and smooth to drive. But repairs seem often especially on the recalled valve cover gasket and expensive! The space with the 7 passanger is great, but don't expect much more room if you have all 7 passengers.

All the stars I can give

Bought in 2012; in 2014 suffered electronic failure. Matter was traced to placement of alternator under valve cover; oil leak fouled the alternator. Hyundai acknowledged the problem and promised a fix; followed up with recall campaign, and applied it to mine in 2015. The problem recurred in June 2016. Again, Hyundai authorized repair, but cannot and does not guarantee against further recurrence. Hyundai insists it should not happen again, but they did the same in 2015. Now it's older, the lemon law is just a joke, and Hyundai only insists, but cannot prove, that the defect does not affect the trade-in value. So I am stuck for at least several months with a vehicle I like, but cannot trust even to an ordinary degree. And that seems all right with Hyundai. Therefore, after fourteen years of owning nothing but Hyundai, this is my last.

Great car overall

Great car besides the one time I had a leak and car stopped. The warranty was great covered my car getting fixed and rental. Good for my family needs. I would like a little more cargo space when utilizing all three rows.

I enjoyed owning this vehicle. Unfortunately, this model is no longer manufactured. It was a comfortable vehicle, I only used the 3rd row seating twice, but the cargo area was ample. Recently traded it in.

I would give it 5 stars if I had more storage in the back, when the third row seating is in use. Overall this is a great car. I get good gas mileage and a comfortable roomy ride. Lots of neat extra features inside the car.

My 2012 Veracruz.

I LOVE MY VERACRUZ! Very comfortable ride, smooth ride, and handles great! Has all the features I could ever ask for including back up camera, and back up sensors! And the 3rd row provides me with extra room in the back for my family dog! The gas mileage is probably the only down fall.. Im getting about 16-19 MPG right now, but hey, I also have a LEAD FOOT! haha. Love it!

I love it,the seats are full size, has lots of power . I think I got a great 10 year warrenty.

Just think 23,000 plus, was a bit two much for a used 2012. Also the last year the Veracruz was made, this I didn't know until the last.

It is very unfortunate that Hyundai ceased production of the Veracruz, because it was the perfect fit in the CUV market. Good looks, roomy, ease to drive, all the creature comforts, and reliable. What more could you ask for.

OVERALL VEHICLE IS WELL ASSEMBLED, BUT FIND THAT EVEN THOUGH SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE IS GIVEN, CERTAIN PARTS OF THE VEHICLE SEEM TO MALFUNCTION IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. PURCHASED VEHICLE NEW DEC. 2012, AND THE FIRST ISSUE WAS NOISE IN THE REAR WHICH WAS CONSTANT EVERYTIME VEHICLE WAS MOVING. AFTER SEVERAL VISITS TO HEALY HYUNDAI, WERE ABLE TO LOCATE ( MYELF AND THE TECH. ) WHERE THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. THOUGH, THE VEHICLE IS WELL MAINTAINED, WAS INFORMED THAT DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE ASSEMBLE OF THESE VEHICLES, ELECTRONICS AND COMPUTER, THAT THESE COMPONENTS ARE PRONE TO GIVE OUT WITHIN A 5 YEAR PERIOD, MAKING THE REPLACEMENT OF THESE COMPONENTS, NOT ECONOMICALLY VIABLE, SINCE THE COSTS OF SOME OF THESE COMPONENTS WITH ENDS UP COSTING THOUSANDS. ALSO , FEEL VEHICLE CAN USE MORE SOUND PROOFING WITHIN THE DASH BOARD , OTHERWISE ITS AN EXCELLENT VEHICLE.

Extremely happy with our choice

This vehicle meets all or needs and the ones we didn't know we had at the time. Excellent quality, great acceleration, very roomy, individual heat/ac controls for front and back passengers. The only thing we don't really like is the headrest sits slightly forward for safety reasons. On long trips this gets a little annoying, but not enough for us to dislike the vehicle. This vehicle is no longer sold in the U.S. so you will have to buy a used one, go for it! It is great as our road trip car. Great ride and tons of space.
