I wish Toyota was still making this vehicle

Bought the car new in 2012. Toyota sent an update for the electronic screen system, proved they can update their software. But the overall software is so bad. Toyota will not update, but they can. I have to use my phone for GPS info. Also, will not connect with Android phone. Toyota stopped making because people bought less and less of this car. And toward the end they changed the design to be a ugly as the rest of the angry vehicles. So I though of buying an updated model but the design said NO! Because Toyota has gone to aggressive and weird looking cars, I wonder what brand of car I will replace my car with. If Toyota makes a beautiful version of the V in the near future, I would trade up!

Good Car

This has actually been a pretty good car, though Prius V's are no longer made and they had some issues with them. Ours is 12 yrs old with 140,000 miles and still runs great. The interior is in great shape and the paint job still looks good other than a few dings. This car has really good acceleration and handles very well. It does have a good bit of road noise but not terrible. Great gas mileage of course - probably around 40mpg. Since there is no transmission per se, there's fewer parts to repair or break. I actually enjoy driving the car and we plan to keep it till it is no longer practical to drive.

Slightly flawed technical masterpiece.

Our family has owned 5 Priuses. We currently own a 2012 V, a 2012 Plug-in and a 2015 regular model. They are bulletproof reliable cars with great fuel economy, reasonable comfort and good internal space and utility. What they don’t have is good performance or great small controls design. The Prius V has some design differences to the other models such as different parking brake design, emissions equipment design and roof mounted antenna which make me ask why and makes parts hunting more exacting. The V has a little more cargo capacity.

Reliable

Vehicle gives great mileage, is extremely reliable for a 12 year old car. Maintenance has been very very good Has lots of room to haul items. Only downside, the rear slants down. You can't get a 4X4 plywood in

Glorified GolfCart

I really don't know how this car ever got rated as a car. It doesn't reach 65 well at all 45 to 55 is best for this motor/kinetic. Its dangerous on the freeway, defensive driving, big time! Local driving and slow traffic is best for this car. Sound like a tin can when you shut the door, death trap. Good size and great gas mileage. forget about speed and comfort is the worst, terrible design thru and thru. So many things have broken and that little piece is 1,800.00 please stop bad design. I want my Nova Back! Design simple not beautifully expensive. We need to start to be real with the world. Out falseness has gotten too big for itself, shed the fat corporate companies. Release the oil and find the water, breath the air and see true function again.
