Windstar is a great little car

I love my car---ok she has a few faults--can fly if the wind gusts are over 40 mph and her right side door does not open from the outside with the key---but the good thing---great gas mileage ignore the mag I get 26 MPG in the city and 36 on highway she had her ups and downs but my God she started after 3 days sitting out in the Polar Vortex ( I have no garage) and started when I needed her to at 4am in the morning and I did not run her for those 3 days and the little gal is easy to park she also warms up quickly in winter and she does not mind hauling things in the trunk and back seat (I had to help out mom with her things when she went into the nursing home) I would recommend car to anyone and Carmax rt 59 in naperville who sold her to me

Cheap Transportation

I purchased this 2007 Toyota Yaris 2 years ago with 132000 miles on it. I have since put 22000 miles on it. I have done all the services the owners manual schedule. I get 340 miles to a tank of gas usually 8 or 9 gallons to fill up. You can not beat this car for economical transportation.

Bought new 2007 still going strong.

Only had one problem. Was very preoccupied car stopped running in the middle of the road. I called my friend, they came and pushed me off the busy street to a filling station. Assessed the situation and after debate put gas in the car and realized I had ran out of gas. LOL

I love my car

Great Japanese economic design. Yaris is compact but with enough room to fit 5 people confortable , I have the sedan model. Trunk is very spacious. I love it. I have had it since 2007 and keeps going strong.

Windstar is the best

love my cutie just love it it gets great gas mileage. love the way it handles. easy to park and maintain. and I have manual door locks which I love. she has had her problems but at 72000 she is still going strong and is very reliable

Our car is a great car Toyota Yaris 2007 never have any problems we are very happy to have the car, our daughter in law Karla give the car to us together with our son Joe they purchased new and then they give it us, they know we need it a car because the one we had give up on us, we are very feel bless to have this car, we thank our children to give us this great car.

Awesome fuel consumption

She has much power & maneuvering for such a tiny vehicle. The MPG is so high i stopped counting. But the car is too small for my taste, & the dash info is in the middle of the dash, its very awkward. No armrest for the driver really sucks.

Love my Yaris!

I bought my Yaris used in 2009, it has only had two recalls (minor), and has not broken down. A lady T-boned me running a red light, and my car still was able to drive away from the scene. This car is fantastic on gas, I maybe fill it every two weeks! I fill it up for $30, if gas prices are above $2.00. You can fold down the backseat for more room in the trunk. The only problem is it can be loud on the highway (wind). And I have noticed if you have the vents circulating outside - in, and shut it off (zero), I can still feel the breeze coming in. The seats can get very uncomfortable after 10 plus hours of driving, however I assume that is typical with any car. The AUX plug in is in a very bad spot, can be a pain to plug in if you are seated in the driver seat. (It is located on the front passenger side area). It's easy access to change the oil. But changing the belt can get tricky, you have to have small hands to reach it. (We had to use a screw driver to reach it to take it off and put a new one on). The stock hub caps that came with it were cheap, and fell off quickly. All in all I am very happy with my Yaris, even after 6 years of driving!

Great City Car

Get good mileage very happy with the large interior feel. Have had no trouble with the engine good pick up too. The care does not work well for long distance driving. We drove from Chicago to Los Angeles a couple of years ago and it can be challenging out on the highway with windy conditions. It is not a heavy car. Guess you can't have it both ways good gas and great highway driving.

183K, 9 yrs and going strong

I've done very little maintenance on this car it continues to keep going. Consumer Reports did not give the Yaris a good review, probably because of the lack of amenities. I can agree with that BUT if you want an inexpensive car, very low maintenance, RELIABLE with great fuel economy, I recommend the Yaris. BTW, I own two of these.

Very reliable and economical to use.

We drive our cars hard but always use Castrol Synthetic Oil. The car has run very well. Happy to buy a car fully made in Japan. The only downside is the water pump replaced 3 times. One in Warranty.

Economical and Fun

It's a fun, economical car that hasn't broken down on us even once in the ten years we've owned it. The only negatives are that the weather seals are drying out, and the "ground effects" body parts are having a hard time staying on.

Been a good car for 160,000 miles.

Great car for a Senior couple. Economical yet with the seat fold downs have been able to haul for our home and room to have cargo space for month long trips. Even taken 10' boards Without leaving trunk open. Sorry the Sedan no longer made

13 years and still perky

We’ve loved our Yaris so much, we bought a new RAV4 last year. It’s like a peppy little race car with the standard transmission. It is looking like 13 years old though, the paint clear coat makes it look like it has psoriasis, but she still hums. Tom

Yaris

Not a bad little car! Handles well, fair amount of room. Seats are comfortable on long trips. AC is great. Good gas milage, I got 40mpg on my trip. I don't like having the instrument panel in the center of the dash.

2007 Toyota Yaris Review

My daughter lives in New York City and I "babysit" her car here in Washington State. It has mileage in the forties and has had recalls and the surprise of the headlight switch defective which resulted in costly part and of course costly hourly tech charges. This has disappointed me as I have previously enjoyed the positives such as excellent gas mileage. I think it looks good for a lower price car and one that my daughter could afford at the time.. In the past my husband and I have had Toyota products and have been very satisfied. I am feeling sorry that the Yaris is no longer going to be sold as it does provide a low-cost good looking car,
