quick service but be careful with grease
This oil change was fast but did not rotate tires; Justified that they were good even wear still. However, there were 2 or 3 significant black grease/oil marks on my buck-colored door panel. They were very hard for me to remove - had to get out the Simple Green and a lot of 'elbow grease' to get them off.

My service greeter was great. But service writer, Cole , was sarcastic and uninformed of service they were to provide. I waited a month for a “the works” service and have a full warranty on my Platinum 2020 Explorer. I asked if any of the electronics(gas mileage trip) would be checked and he told me I would have to make another appt. and it would be another month! I will do that, only because I am stuck with them and they did mess with the part that has to do with if you get too close to line even in changing lanes the steering veers away(tires). That was turned off at a previous visit at our request and now it is back on! There is more but I will wait and talk to someone in charge. I co-owned and worked in Diesel repair, SERVICE and parts for 22 years so I am knowledgeable and know that humor also goes a long way. Mike White Ford certainly does not go that extra mile.

Cole was Excellent
Cole was thorough unlike Tyler who shoveled me off to cole last time without briefing me that I was getting a new service attendent so the wrong oil was installed,.
Then Tyler agued with me because his computer said 15/40 was the correct oil even though I has requested 10/30 for the winter at the previous oil change.
AI was charged for changing the oil.
It is NOT my fault your computer is wrong & Tyler shoveled me off. Tyler could not explain why my manual differed from his computer but insisted on billing me until I proved & he confirmed 10/30 was the correct oil--Tyler never followed up. I called Ford and they confirmed the manual was to be followed. I also googled and in fact 10/30 is reccommended as a better oil more pervasively.
I have owned the turck for 20 years since new and the feedback from service tecks at your dealership in Sandpoint & others is that 10/30 is best for the winter.

Waiting for future stars to shine!
Cole and others where nice to deal with no problem there. Please read my work and service report so that you understand why I am a little uneasy and waiting for the future warranty work if needed. We purchased this 2014 Escape with under 20,000 miles and so thought a warranty would be a good idea. The added work done was not on warranty and I understand that I just find the lug nut replacement to be a bit strange but understand it can happen. The reason I am nervous is no fault of yours but is because of a Dealership we used years ago that seemed always to have added work needed that usually costs must more than we had planned on. We finally quit dealing with them and our cost of car repair reduced significantly. We find it so wonderful to become confident in the honesty of business operations and look forward to that happening with Mike White Ford of CDA.

Could offer more
Went in for first oil change since buying car. The service guy was super nice, but I was a little surprised and disappointed that they do not offer courtesy car wash when almost every other dealership does.

Forgot a couple of things
Specifically asked for the sticker in the windshield to remind me when to make my next apt. Last appt they forgot this as well. Didn’t notice till I got home as it was dark when I left my appt. Also requested tire rotation but appears it was not done.

Got the Battery and oil changed but 2+ hours to do it with an appointment, really
So the service adviser was nice and professional. But the whole experience was less the great. Like I said it should not take over 2 hours to do the simple things like an oil change and swap out a battery, more like an hour. I have done plenty of both jobs to know, I did have an appointment so the work load should not have been a shock to anyone. While I was stuck waiting all that time I wandered the showroom as it is. Two rather boring cars to look at. When I asked about the new Bronco, they had no brochures available just a laminated sheet with all the options per model to look at only. The sales personnel were sitting around on the desks and chatting with each other. There were a number of people in the same long wait as I and it would have been a great opportunity to have marketing displays, maybe a few 40 inch TV that can display the different models and options. Doesn't seem like you all are trying to hard to make the customer pleased with the dealership.

Weird Experience
I went to get my oil changed, and:
1) I was there almost 45 minutes longer than I was supposed to but I watched my car sit in the lot for most of that time. I don’t know if they didn’t realize that I was waiting at the dealership or not but that was still unacceptable.
2) When I got my keys back my lanyard was gone. For no reason it was taken off my keys and left in my car which was really weird.

OIL CHANGE
WE ASKED THE TECHS NOT TO MOVE SEAT AND PLEASE DON'T TOUCH THE MIRRORS OR SWITCHES. THE HEADLIGHTS USED TO GO ON AUTOMATICALLY AND OFF WHEN WE GOT OUT OF THE TRUCK. NOW WE CAN'T GET IT BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE! WE ARE 77 YEARS OLD AND NOT UP TO DATE ON THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY.

Dennis, thank you for taking our call regarding your concerns. As we explained, there are times where we are required to move seats to safely move the car, but this was not the case in your vehicle as we did not change the seat position at any time.

In regards to the headlight issue, your headlights are working as designed, which does not offer the automatic on/off feature. Service Appointment
Staff was great. They get a 5 star. But I made an appointment for an oil change and a brake issue. Oil change complete but they said I would have to make another appointment for my brake issue. The appointment was for both so I'm not sure why they did not schedule accordingly to take care of both issues. I don't like wasting my time.

Oil Change
I took my car in for an oil change and asked for new wiper blades. I got there at 8:30 and didn't get out the door till after 11:30. I understand busy but there is really no excuse for it. I had an appointment. The girl in service came and told me they were backed up and it might be 10...ok. But after 11:30? No...not ok.
The staff is very polite. No problems there.
This hasn't happened before so I hope it's not going to be the standard

I arrived 10 minutes before appointment. Truck was taken in at 2:00 which was the appointment time. Truck was finished at 2:45 and brought out into the parking lot. I sat and waited for paperwork to be finished until 3:45. An hour wait did not make me very happy.

Hit and Miss
The oil change process was smooth, but the last time I brought a car into your shop for a minor repair, my car was held hostage while the part was being ordered. I told the tech that I might need the car for the weekend at which point he cancelled the order for the part but didn't tell me. I ended up not needing the car for the weekend, so left it there. When I called back the following week to check on it, they didn't even know the car was still in their possession. I had to wait again for them to reorder the part. Twice when I called them and was told someone would call me back, they never did. I had to call them. Less than thrilled.

Always an extra problem when I take it in for oil change.
Cole Patterson came out after oil change and tire rotation and said I had a right front inner axle seal leak. I said that can't be true, I had it fixed a while back. He checked and said that I was correct and had it replaced 12/19/19. He said it was under warranty and he would call once it was replaced again. When I went to pick up my Explorer he said the mechanic said to just catch it next time... I was HOT. What do you mean "catch it next time". I left Cole's area after signing paperwork and paying bill and went to talk to Joe! I have known Joe for 12 plus years and told him how frustrated I was. He graciously set me up with an appointment next Monday to have the axel seal replaced. I love Joe and hate that he isn't out on the service desk. I only trust him!! I have had my 1996 Ford Explorer, 2007 Ford Explorer and now my new 2020 Ford Edge all taken care of at the Ford dealer. My mom had her 2000 Taurus Wagon and my son had his 2010 Ford F150 all worked on at your dealership (once owned by Tom Addis as well). I have lost some confidence with you. All but Joe! He has always taken care of me and I trust him.

Barely satisfactory
I had a simple oil change and tire rotation service today. I think they changed the oil but it is still black so am not sure. As for the tire rotation. They did not reset the TPMS on the vehicle so the tire pressures are backwards. Also the rear tires were overinflated by 15 psi. Last but not least one of the “hub covers” was not seated properly. Probably would have lost it had I not checked before I left the dealer. Overall the attention to detail was a bit lacking.

Ernest, thank you for leaving a review. We agree - an hour and 45 minutes is generally too long for an oil change. We're not sure if you recieved the call from your advisor, but we called and left a message describing exactly what we went through with the evaluation process to ensure quality work was being completed for you. We always want to make sure that everything is done correctly and thoroughly and in the case of some vehicles, it takes longer than others. We invite you to come back in when you next need service and hopefully give you better communication regarding timeframes.

Brake rotars
I asked that rotates for brakes be turned only if needed. There was nothing in inspection report about condition of the rotars and why they needed turned. They were done and I wonder how if they really needed to be done?
