New car, a few mechanical issues but Rodeo Hyundai's service department has been on top of it.
I purchased a new 2018 Hyundai Sonata from Rodeo Hyundai November of 2018 and felt that they negotiated with me fairly and mostly via email which was my preference. This was a huge plus as most dealerships try everything they can to get you to come in and negotiate on their terms. Negotiating via email was the deciding factor in purchasing my vehicle at this dealership. That said, I have been mostly very satisfied with my Hyundai Sonata, it handles well, has decent power for a 4 cylinder and I typically average over 27 mpg city and highway combined. Since I have purchased the vehicle, I have gone in for 2 oil changes and by chance, the knock sensor went bad right after the 2nd oil change on my drive home. I turned around, went back to the dealership and they quickly checked it out but had to order a part so I had to leave my vehicle there for a day. Shortly after this repair, I started hearing a knocking sound ironically and after doing some checking of my own to make sure it was not something in the vehicle or trunk, I took my car back in to the dealership where they found that now one of the front shocks had started to go bad and needed replacing. Again, a part needed to be ordered and I needed to come back but to their credit, when I did return about a week later, the repair was completed in under an hour! They are always offering and willing to wash the car with every oil change and repair as well. Neither repair has cost me anything as they were both covered by the warranty. Happy with the repairs and the dealership in general, not happy about 2 mechanical problems in under a year with a brand new car that has under 9000 miles on it.
