'97 Ford Expedition - a well built machine

We bought our certified, pre-owned, Expedition nearly 20 years ago at Korum Ford in Puyallup. It has towed travel trailers and boats over miles of mountain passes, towed loaded utility trailers over rough terrain and down interstate freeways. It has taken up to six rowdy kids and two seasoned adults to team sports events and camp outings with fully loaded luggage racks with bikes trailing behind on the rear hitch. It's been an extremely reliable "Mom mobile" for those around-town errands and a versatile transport vehicle for sheets of plywood, lumber, hardware and "weekend re-modeler" chores. It's has successfully carried it's occupants to all northwest mountain ranges and waterways. Outside of regular maintenance, it has been a care-free vehicle with few repairs. A vehicle well worth exploring.

Nice truck over all

I've always wanted an Expedition ever since they came out, well I finally got one and over all I am happy. Some parts are a little pricey compared to other comparable models. There is in my opinion some design flaws but again it's a good truck/SUV. I have a 97 expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4, with 200,000 miles and it's still going.

AMAZING LONG LIFE

I ordered this vehicle from the Ford dealership before it was introduced on the market and took possession in October, 1996. It now has 324,000 miles on the original 5.4 L engine. It still looks good and runs well and does not burn any oil. I use regular oil and change it at 3,000 mile intervals. Not bad for 22 years of service.
