Fords lost gem
I’ve driven many autos throughout my driving lifetime. And with most newly married starting a family couples I found the need for a larger vehicle. From pulling the camper to hauling materials it needed to be versatile. I went the station wagon route. Then I upgraded to a suburban. Great SUV but not good mpg. Then I tried a vehicle called a Ford Flex. I fell in love. Roomy, comfortable and with fwd I was cruising down the highway at 24-25 mpg. Unheard of in my suburban. I’m on my second one. An awd model. Down to 20-21mpg highway but I don’t have to worry about the snow on our ski trips. Classy roomy and a hell of a lot better looking and easier in and out than a mini van for older folks. It’s sad that Ford didn’t promote this vehicle more aggressively. It’s a lost gem of a car in my opinion.
