Great driving experience, but customer service is a bit lacking

I really enjoy driving this car. Have had it about a year now and the styling, features, comfort are all plusses. The only caveat is the genesis customer service which at times has been painstakingly slow to respond. Dealing with a repair has opened my eyes to how long something, that should be relatively simple, can take with Genesis. I love the car itself but the service experience can definitely be improved upon.

Stoked with our G70

Our newly purchased Genesis G70 is a stunner inside and out. Great looking car, it handles very well and possesses a peppy 4-Cylinder Turbo charged power plant. The stance exudes luxury and sportiness throughout. As a family we are happy with our choice and may be looking to add a GV70 soon.

Happy I did.

The car is awesome. Fun to drive. Great to look at. Unbeatable price for the value. The Genesis G70 sports luxury features that are comparable and in some cases out performs the more expensive vehicles. G70 sports Sedan is very responsive. Overall a great purchase.

Almost perfect

I love my car. The car is a fun to drive and is a great compromise between sportiness and comfort. The features you get would cost noticeably more from other manufacturers. I thoroughly enjoy my car but I do have minor complaints. I am tall so adjusting my seat leaves no legroom for the seat behind me. A small rattle has developed that would require me going to the dealership to address. Unfortunately, the dealership experience is hit or miss. Genesis needs to hurry with building their own dealerships. For me, the pros easily outweigh the cons. I own a 3.3 sport prestige trim.

Service is lacking, brand needs more distinction and it’s own dealership.

Absolutely love the car… Beautiful styling fantastic performance nice luxury touches turns heads wherever I go… The service is seriously lacking… This is not a Hyundai it’s a Genesis so it needs to be serviced like a Genesis. I never took my Lexus Toyota Toyota dealership or my Acura to a Honda. When you promise your customers something that you cannot deliver the customers won’t be back. The concierge service was a huge factor in my decision and I’m very disappointed that it’s not offered.

Great Overall Vehicle BUT….

This car handles well, feels good to drive, has good fuel economy/performance ratio. Interior styling and comfort are well designed. Audio quality and smart features make for nice creature comforts. Cannot tolerate that a dealer only has the needed tools to change oil.

Very nice car

Was waiting for new G70 design. Like the exterior and, as it turns out, the interior is what really sold me. Great performance, quick solid shifts with smooth acceleration . This is my our 4th or 5th Genesis and/or Hyundai. Wife and daughter have had Tucson and Sonata(s).

Loving it so far

Bought the Sport Prestige package after taking a test drive and not regretting it for a second. I think the best compliment I can pay is that it's such a perfectly balanced car: from the quick turbo spool to the beautiful, comfortable interior, to the luxury features everywhere inside to the way it feels soooo planted in turns, it's obvious a HUGE amount of time and engineering went into this car. Thoroughly impressed so far. Absolutely worth the price.

I love almost everything about my 2022 G70

This vehicle is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The performance is excellent with the exception of acceleration in sport mode. The rear end is lost way to easily. If better composed under hard acceleration, if the gas mileage were better and the rear seat offered more legroom, this vehicle would be perfect.

Great reliability, amazing exterior look.Enjoyable to drive. Passenger seat very uncomfortable, color not recommended,wheels should come with calipers. Sunroof annoying noise could not be fixed. Service issues with dealers,too slow to get appointments and delays in parts.

Almost great

The car handles amazingly, the looks are good but not the best, I feel like the refresh was forced into the old design instead of making improvements. A few issues on the dark chrome trim make the exterior hard to maintain, and there are a few rattles on the interior after a year of use. The wireless charger is useless and the headlights are a clear downgrade from the previous model. Over it’s a nice car but with a little extra work it could have been knocked out of the park!

Great car with some flaws

This car is great. Has great performance and styling along with safety and tech features and a nice audio system. However, the infotainment has some issues and there is a chance that every saved setting and location you set will be reset back to default. Happened to me once and it was very annoying. I had to reset every setting and I lost every saved location, POI, etc. This is unacceptable.

Great car

This is a great vehicle however there are some areas of concern as it pertains to vehicle paint, small dents and faded window trim. The vehicle drives well however during shifting it is very hard and take the vehicle a while to shift to the next gear. When I purchased the vehicle I inquired and the dealership stated that Genesis shift very hard and loud.

Excellent vehicle, the perfect balance of performance and luxury. Fun to drive. The road noise is a little more than I expected. Power and acceleration is well above average for the segment. Plenty of luxury features. A great value for the price point.

Perfect Combination of Value, Performance, and Luxury

Who said you couldn't have great performance, design, and the right level of luxury without sacrificing value? I've gotten so many compliments for my '22 G70 (Sport Advanced) and I love the fact that is not as ubiquitous as some of the competitors. The car feels so nimble and it is very quick. I don't really drive aggressively, but I love knowing that all that power behind my twin turbo is available when I need it. Driving this car is so fun; trust me, it won't disappoint you.

My second G70

I recently traded in my 2020 G70 3.3 Elite for a 2022 G70 3.3 Sports Prestige. When initially purchasing my first G70, the Sport model wasn't available, but the Elite trim was very appealing and drove excellent. My decision to switch cars was a personal, deep down feeling I had to do, and it was a perfect choice because the handling of the Sport trim is excellent! I'm so happy with my new purchase. My salesman Vinny was very courteous and made my time at the dealership very pleasant. Thank you

Unwittingly purchased a sports sedan featuring a luxury car's refinement exceeding my expectations....The body refinements of the 2022 G70 have made it a pleasure to look at. One friend of mine having seen mine parked in my driveway thought I had just purchased a Porsche. He was surprised that the G70 was a Hyundai descendant.

2022 G70 3.3L Sport

Excellent handling and acceleration! Front seat comfort is excellent. Value for the money excellent. Looks like gas mileage is slightly above EPA estimate. Depending on age, might want to upgrade to Prestige just to get adaptive dampers. Base suspension is good, probably better than A4. The ability to soften the suspension on less than perfect roads becomes more necessary the older you become. But, still able to tighten it up on mountain twistys.
