G80 1 YEAR LATER

After one year of ownership I still find this vehicle fun to drive, still impressed with navigation, interior and overall looks of the vehicle. The interior is quiet and well fitted. I would like to see a little softer ride but that would probably be a trade-off for handling. The one big complaint I do have is the front seats. I personally do not find them comfortable especially on long drives. It is nice to know it has a very high safety rating. If you are looking for excellent fuel mileage you will need to look at a different vehicle. I believe with a few refinements this could be a 5 star vehicle.

Great car but poor aerodynamics

Great torque, acceleration, styling, ride and purchase experience. Interior is designed with taste and thought for luxury. The only knock against the car so far (and the reason why I gave it 4 stars) is the interior noise coming from both passenger side windows from breaking the wind at higher speeds (>60 mph). There is some problem with aerodynamics that isn’t there with other luxury brands. So, the ride isn’t as quiet as it should be.

I think Genesis is having an engineering on this vehicle

Have owned a 2017 Genesis G80 with no issues. My 2019 had the same problem as my 2020 just purchased. Vibration which they can not identify the solution to correct. 2019 was declared a lemon on the lemons. Although it took 5 moths to resolve the buy out of my lease, Genesis was very good to work with.

2019 Genesis G80 Owners Overall Rating after 12 Months.

Overall I'm quite pleased with my Genesis Manufactured Product. Unfortunately I experienced severe problems with the front two Continental tires early on. I should have been informed by my Dealership that a Warranty Claim could have been made to Continental Tire. I was told no Factory Warranty is available on the tires so I went to Discount Tire to purchase the two Tires. I also purchased the Insurance in case there is a design flaw with Wheel and Suspension compatibility.

Under priced

Great car Would recommend this. My second one. Great car to lease. Had a 2016 that was nice for the first 12 months. WS not happy with the ride quality and the ownership experience. But Genesis listens and made this car far better. Was looking at others Caddy was close but not worth the money. Great value, lease values not agresive enough. Have faith in your residuals. Dealership experience was fantastic. Would recommend them to anyone.

For me the vehicle is probably what I was looking for, even if I do not need a car like this, I bought just to spoild myselph

For me it is a very nice vehicle, comfortable, the dealer location is close by and since I did in the past, bought from them I knew who I was dealing with. The after sale service in the past was great so I am sur in the future it will be at least the same. Thank you but I do thing that my survey answers may not be what you are looking for I do not like to do any survey

Nice Vehicle with many nice "bells and whistles" - which create steep learning curve. Genesis dealers would benefit from having knowledgeable "concierge associates" available who owners could contact. Navigation system not intuitive and have been difficult to program.

Excellent car but could use some minor attention to detail. Would like for the designer to review the structure on the outside of the vehicle near the review lamps on either side of the automobile. There is wind noise coming into the interior of the car.

vibration problem

great vehicle, fit and finish is first rate. we are having a vibration problem that can be felt through the steering wheel and the passenger seats. the vehicle was sent in for service to correct the problem. test driving our vehicle after this service it was evident that the vibration was still there

I love my my genesis g80. It drives extremely well and is fast. I think the body design is gorgeous and looks fierce. The beauty continues into the inside and I love the built in sun-shades. The different driving modes are very cool as well. I love the rims, but they scratch easy.

Concerned areas that needs attention to fully qualify this vehicle as a top notched competitor

There needs to be a more concerned effort placed on the buyer's concerns for this particular vehicle. Also, the development for a more concerted effort for comfortability and quietness. A very fine vehicle which seems to lack attention in some very concerned areas.

Rides well, good safety features

Rides well, handles well, good safety features. Overall car is too low to ground which makes forward parking in lots with concrete wheel stop blocks problematic. I have had undercarriage issues requiring repairs. Also navigation system is not good compared to Waze or Google Maps. Android Auto hard to use

Great car! Bad customer service so be prepared!!! This car floats, has pickup, and safety in mind. I’d buy a G90, but all the fun stuff is in the back seat. I haven’t had any issues with the car. All of my gripes have been with the dealers and service departments. ?

Overall great car except for the engine hesitation and camera sensor problems

Great potential to be an outstanding car in its class but need to address the engine hesitation and camera sensor problems. Very comfortable ride. Good engine power. Stylish. Economical to drive and maintain. Outstanding warranty and quality. Fun to drive.

Looks great, safe, drives great, connectivity is OLD

Genesis is a luxury car with plenty of space and options. The company has an app that works Ok. The connectivity to internet is non-existent at this point only after a few years. the company is not willing to update its 3G old connectivity. The luxury of this car is great; there is a lot of space and it drives well. I never had any major issues with it. No engine, not lights issue. You can switch between sport, regular, economy settings. It’s 4WL so you can drive it on snow. It’s really spacious and it does not have the key issues Kia and Hyundai is known for. The app was OK, I had some issues with passwords, but now it’s useless since there is no IOT. I hope that the new Genesis cars have better connectivity than this. Please be aware of this when you buy the car. As a car, this car drives excellent I enjoyed the drive from day ONE. I bought a Palisade and I like it a lot. The options in the car are excellent and the outside looks really nice. I think it’s quite safe since it is a big car and it has cameras everywhere! Since it’s a big car, make sure you get it with all the cameras so you can park it well so you didn’t get it dinged

Even though I drove this car near the dealership, I wish the ride was much smoother on roads I regularly drive in Phoenix and Glendale AZ. Disappointed! Remote start slow and troublesome(intermittently shuts off after less than 10 minutes when opening doors to load passengers. Bluetooth disconnects when Iphone is connected via USB. Concerned that when I get hearing aids they won't connect to bluetooth so I can't have simultaneous benefits of Apple Car Play and benefits of bluetooth for hearing aids. Even though I drove this car near the dealership, I wish the ride was much smoother on roads I regularly drive in Phoenix and Glendale AZ. Disappointed!
